  1. Nice too see some good quality parts in your list. As said above by KiwiRs4T have a good read through the rb30 build guide and anything your unsure of ask. Dont mean to scare you but I hope you havent ordered your pistons before having the block checked, eg bore etc as you may need to go oversize depending on condition of the bores. (fingers crossed for you its a mint one) Hey Dcieve is it really necessary to drill and tap the block to suit a stud 1mm larger then the rb25 head studs which go straight in? No hate here just ive used 25 studs myself and just interested in what the advantage is? good luck EspenRb30
  2. You sir are a legend! May i ask what you closed yours up too? Im running stock valve train bar some kelford valve springs. i could get a 18thou feeler guage on the intake and 17 on ex I wana close mine up a bit but not too much.
  3. Good to see you found something! Doesn't look like you have much room to work with though! Goodluck!
  4. fuel pressure test?
  5. Hey, i looked in to buying a kit but struggled. i ended up just buying a oil cooler and sandwhich plate similar to this link www.staparts.co.nz/View-A-Product?id=4875&Productid=Oil%20cooler%20kit%20black%2010%20row%20-10AN%20fittings%202%20x%201600mm%20length I mounted my sandwhich plate directly over the factory oil warmer/ cooler, filter basically stays in the same spot, just sits out a couple inches more which is no hassle. Mounted the cooler where yours is. grabbed some old shitty hose and bent them into the path i wanted just for a mock up. the ordered the fittings and hose etc Mount your cooler and sandwhich plate first, then its all striaght foward from there.
  6. hey man, im running a rb26/30 with stock bottom end. stock head. stock cast rb30e pistons with a set of mahle piston rings to suit. The usual arp head studs, rod bolts etc throughout. 380kw @ flywheel @ 13psi comfortably Just my personal opinion but if your trying to keep costs down just keep it standard internally. from what you said earlier sounds like youv taken the time to read all the guides and are going about it the right way fixing the factory oiling issues etc They make plently of power with standard gear, unless your aiming for more then 600hp id just get some standard rb30 pistons. Just my opinion Goodluck!
