Put a few different designs together for the GTS Style badge - Logo This would be for the rear drivers side of the boot - or anywhere you like I guess. Custom size can be made to what ever your requirement is. See below image - any part of these drawings can be altered changed modified before cutting As always the Lettering would be semi or full polish depending on preference Red DNA Candy Inlay - or any color Clear Overlay Double Sided Tape on back Black or Silver Base Can also supply individual lettering as in the lower part of the image
-
GTS30t - we could machine anything you need with this incorporated - if you can advise if you want the size for the boot on the right hand rear side then we could send some designs to you. I had a few requests for the GT R Style Badge but with the RB-25/26/30 - and also the RB25/30 Engine Ornament Plates Yeah we could do many things with the Gts30t
-
We could machine wheel centre caps - the front face would be fairly straight forward with design work. depending on the style because most are plastic and have the grooves with a spring tension ring to keep them locked in to the wheels We have designed some wheel centre caps but we had the drawing provided and many manufacturers have different internal sizes. These were machined with a groove and O ring with an interference fit so they locked in pretty nice. Another option was the anti theft design I'll PM you some details needed RobZ

Hi Michael, I can machine up any style badge with any dimension you need, as for the GT T badge for the guards no probs at all. Havent drawn up the badge with the T but would take much time. And as for the finish would be the same as previous posts in the thread, any type of finish or color inlay you need we could do it. Cheers

Hi all, Just wanted to update this thread with some recent work for Dahtone Racing in Sydney - currently working on some finish options for this piece after they received their mill finish sample. After working very close on the design with the customer and seeing it come to life looks great Custom RB26 Engine Ornament plate Looks pretty unique on their RB26 engine https://www.facebook.com/165500486810662/photos/a.328775397149836.93556.165500486810662/1229243663769667/?type=3&theater

GTR - Small Custom CNC'd Billet Guard Badges have been filled with DNA Blood Red Candy - Diamond Clear Over the top below image is only a sample requested from some SAU members - also the white light reflection affects the full polish look - the finish is like chrome If anyone would like black inlay on the very base part of the badge - where the GT and around the edge of the R on the very lower base part - we can also do this Anyone interested send a PM and I will advise delivery details, costing, etc 2 x Guard Badges Fully Polished Red Inlay VHB Double Sided Tape Thanks
-
Hi All, We had a sample cnc'd on the mill today - thought I would share the images of the mill finish This badge dimension is designed to replace the Stock GT Badges on the front guards/fenders I will also have the faces and contours polished to also provide you with the full polished finish. Images only show as mill finish And also no red inlay in the R - we will fill the R in Red after the polish. These badges will also have VHB Double Sided Tape when completed

Hi Anthony, I am also currently working on this design when I seen Chris post - I brought up the drawing last night and worked on the sizing for the GTR Badge for the guards. I am also currently in the process of full respray on my 33 and took these badges off 2 days ago. I will get a sample cut and post and see what time it takes - I wouldn't see it being a long process - Im looking to Metal Flake and Resin Fill the Badge Should look pretty cool - with the 375 Micron DNA Red Flakes in where the R is on the Badge with the rest fully polished When the samples done and I choose to run some extra's I will let you guys know so we can just run off 6 or 10 in one go. Depends on Time and Finish whether it be Mill, Polished or Resin filled and polished could be from $25 to $70 per pair I am also looking to redesign the Boot Lock Flip Cap with some custom work incorporated

We custom cut many items for customers ranging from anywhere from $60.00 and up for small badges would be at the lower end of the scale Its hard to cost up an individual item to give you a cost as each item is different Depending on the quantity and detail also has an impact in the cost Just to give you an idea of the time spent and process 1. We draft the 3D Drawing or work with a drawing provided and turn it into a cut design 2. Material Size and Thickness 3. Work on tool path for cutting 4. We use anything from a 0.3mm to large cutting bits depending on detail needed 5. Some tool paths can be from 1 hours cutting to 30 hours cutting time 6. From memory the longest part we have done was 32 hours 28 minutes - with 11 operations and 7 tool changes 7. Setup of the material - running costs 8. Labor 9. Machining time and Distance - Tool wear 10. What finish the customer wants - Mill finish, Polished, Carbon Fibre with Polished Inserts etc 11. Packaging and Delivery But just to run off a few of the processes we try to give the best price - its pretty amazing when you hear back from our customers when they received there own designed custom piece Another example we cut some RB26 Ornaments with very low detail and they were about $69 each and another customer wanted some cut with pretty unique detail incorporated and they were roughly $125.00 each If you send me what design or part you are looking at getting done - then I can work with you to design and provide the cost. Once the design is done it provides us with the time involved - we do not charge full setup costs as most of the work is in the designing - the design work is just a very small percentage of the total cost - just an example we are working on a job currently and the design was very involved with the file that the customer provided - to get the image to a 3D Cut drawing involved 18 hours of work and this would not be charged to the customer - so we try to work with you for cost Hope this helps all - but we don't put exact cost for a certain piece on here - if you want custom pieces done send me your idea's - we will work with you and provide a cost in PM

Hi All, See below images for the sample cards we painted over White QM1 Base Coat and Black Base Coat - some of the white cards with 2 3 and 4 coats were just to throw some extra coats on to see the color change and how it affected the metal flake appearance with excess pearl. As you will see in the images 1 coat white metal flake and 1 coat pearl is almost similar to 2 coats white metal flake and 2 coats pearl. The white pearl metal flake with 1 coat and 1 coat of silver pearl looks great, the 1, 2 and 3 coats of just white pearl metal flake over white looks pretty cool. Obviously the Red Flake over Black looks great. The overload cards just wanted to post them here to show difference. Make the QM1 White Nissan paint shine a bit better than just plain white. The only issue is these look better when they are in sunlight direct light when you move them and see the colors moving. Hopefully the quality of the images do some sort or justice. Central Victoria - I found a couple on Gumtree but from memory were QLD and W.A the price was reasonable but the added freight cost and ensuring no freight damage was more of a concern.
-
Thanks for your input - I actually have the GTR Badge we are inlaying with different metal flakes in the lettering - with an embossed outer edge and resin filled. Will post some up when we get the chance. As for the size thats not an issue at all - we can machine these to what ever size required - and the GT badges would look great changed to a smaller GT R type

Hi Guys, thought I would start this thread here for anyone interested in the white pearl metal flakes and white silver pearl. I am currently doing all body work and painting an R33 Skyline in QM1 Nissan White - Group 2 - COB System (Clear Over Base) Just thought I would throw this in here for anyone looking at different coatings thickness coverage or color - I will add the high quality photo's tomorrow after the cards are complete with the top clear coats - hopefully the images do the paint justice as we know from real paint to photo is sometimes hard to get an exact representation. I have cut 30 test spray cards 100mm x 100mm composite sheeting - lightly sanded and primed in 2k primer 15 Test Cards Sprayed in White Base coat 15 Test Cards Sprayed in Black Base coat To choose the metal flake and pearl coatings for the vehicle - we have used different coatings White QM1 Base Coat - Cards White Pearl Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats - with 1 coat of White Silver Pearl White Pearl Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats - with 2 coats of White Silver Pearl White Pearl Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats - with 3 coats of White Silver Pearl White Pearl Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats - with 1 coat of Silver Flake and 1 coat of White Silver Pearl Image Flat - No Pearl or Top Clear Coat Black Base Coat - with 375 Micron Red DNA Black Base Coat - with Red Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats Black Base Coat - with Red Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats with 1 coat of White Metal Flake Black Base Coat - with Red Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats with 1 coat of white metal flake and White Silver Pearl Image Flat - No Silver - No Pearl or Top Clear Coat I have marked the back of the cards with the coatings and will update this tomorrow - from memory I think I put a coat of silver on one or 2 cards Silver Flake and White Silver Pearl will be painted tomorrow - then the top coat clear. Flake Coverage with DNA FX HDIC High Definition Intercoat 375 Micron Flake painted with Devilbiss 1.8 SLG Basecoat, Pearl and Top Clear Coat - Painted with Devilbiss GTI Pro - 1.3mm with TE20 Air cap If this post helps one person with white or black with the flakes and coatings then it makes it all worth it.

Got the 2 front guards complete ready for paint today that now completes roof, front guards and boot - also today managed to get the passenger quarter panel ready for primer, this leaves the driver side quarter panel and the 2 doors then the body is complete and ready for base coat. After all this is complete I will shift onto the side skirts, front bar rear bar and boot spoiler - If I can get a GTR Spoiler in time I will go with that - if not I will not doubt use the current one I have or just go with out and plug the holes temporarily with blanking grommets until I get the GTR spoiler. Ideally painting it all in one go is better to ensure correct metal flake and pearl coverage - but if you have the exact ratios measured by volume and weight - the gun is always set to the same position with pressure and fluid - and the only thing that leaves is the distance speed and overlap. Today I also cut the 30 test spray cards 100mm x 100mm in composite panel - light sanded with orbi and primed ready for the white base coat and black base coat I marked the back of each card with the coatings for each to ensure they get the exact coats The white cards are as follow 1: White Pearl Metal Flake 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats 2: White Pearl Metal Flake 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats and each with one coat of White Silver Pearl 3: White Pearl Metal Flake 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats and each with two coats of White Silver Pearl 4: Some extra cards with same 123 coats with silver flake 123 and pearl 123 This image is just with the White Flake and no clear coat or pearl - that why it looks so flat For the black cards - Black Base coat are as follows 1: 375micron Red Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats 2: 375micron Red Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats with 1 coat of White Pearl Metal Flake 3: 375micron Red Metal Flake - 1 coat 2 coats and 3 coats with 2 coats of white Pearl Metal Flake The black cards also vary with 1 and 2 coats of the White Silver Pearl over the top All up there are roughly 30 cards - when I have some clear over the top after I finish the silver flake and pearl - I will take some good quality photo's and upload them - I might even start another thread in the painting forum. Will have these completed tomorrow and make the choice on how many coatings. Flake painted with Devilbiss SLG 1.8 Base coat Pearl and Clear coat painted with Devilbiss GTI Pro 1.3mm TE20 Air cap Should look better than just standard QM1 white base coat
