  1. some video extras i put together of this event since the first video was so popular
  2. I spotted myself in number 38 hiding in the background and a blurry me in number 36.
  3. Hey guys cheers for all the feedback. Actually nissan in japan have been pretty decent, they have been good for ordering new parts, even sending some of them to me free of charge. they didn't charge me anything to look at it the first time, but as i said they wouldn't work on a car with this many mods. In an attempt to save time and make life easier i opted to have my other shop just change the alternator without doing further testing. Unfortunately the problem was still there when i took the car, so in the end i had to take the car back again. turns out the issue was a poor ground to the battery which they fixed, and he found a separate issue with my headlight high beams which he also fixed. as they felt bad i had just replaced my alternator for no reason they didn't charge me for the extra work. so now the car runs sweet again. In the end I paid about 500 squid AUD (damn the weak aussie dollar) for the new remanufactured nissan alternator fitted. (nissan would've charged me about 650 for the same work).
  4. Recently I've been super busy with the birth of my new baby boy, but I was able to sneak out before he was born and get a few car pics.
  5. I was able to drop by this crazy car meet recently in tokyo
  6. Yep if it's not raining it's pretty much like this every friday and saturday night. although it often gets shut down on a friday night when the bikes and audio cars make too much noise.
  7. That was a fun night! I put together a video of the event too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoRJcG8Hjrg
  8. Cheers guys. I took the gtr to a Nissan dealership and they confirmed that the voltage coming out of the alternator was a bit low, but because I'm running an aftermarket ECU they can't confirm that's the only issue. Also they said they wouldn't touch my car unless I changed the cars ECU, cat, back to stock, and put wheels that sit inside the guards on. So I've organised an independent shop to replace the alternator this week. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. Cheers for the help
  9. quick update on the issue. I drove the car today and it idled perfectly. Then when i drove home in the evening it was doing it again. I realised it was only doing it when the headlights are on, so it seems to be an electrical issue, and linked to the extra power usage when the brake lights come on while headlights are on? could this mean it's an alternator on it's way out? or something else electrical? cheers
  10. Hey guys, last night my r32 gtr started idling roughly, bouncing between 600-900rpm. this is in neutral with my foot on the brake pedal. when i lift off the brake the idle goes back to normal? the car never stalled, and once driving the engine runs super smoothly. sometimes the rough idle would sort it's self out and then come back again a bit later. how would my foot on the brake cause the rough bouncing idle? cheers for your help!
  11. I went to clean my car this morning then thought i might shoot down to Daikoku for a quick look, and DAMN! this is what i found:
  12. Awesome thanks for the help with this guys! while i was at the nissan dealership in fujigaoka picking up some seat support clips, i showed the dealer the part numbers and it was nice and easy to order the parts. the guy at the shop even said he can post them to me free of charge via normal post. awesome! thanks again!
  13. Hi MrFijiGold Would you mind getting a screen shot of the part numbers? I couldn't see the page. When i go to that link i get this: Access from Japan is not allowed. Currently, our company is on the relationship of the tax, we do not do domestic sales. In order to reduce the response business hours to inquiries from Japan, from Japan we have set so that it is not able to display the page.
  14. Hi Guys, I have a clear HPI cam gear cover i want to install on my RB26 but it didn't come with the mounting bolts and grommets, and my car came without a cam gear cover or bolts. Does anyone know the original nissan part number for the 3 mounting bolts? cheers for any help finding these!
  15. cheers guys! yeah I've got a hard pedal feel with not much bite. so for town driving i might swap out for Endless SSS, then I can throw the Acre 800c's back in if i track it
  16. Hi Guys, Currently my gtr has Dixcel slotted rotors with Acre Formula 800c pads. I only street drive the car and have been disappointed with the brake feel. there is very little initial bite, and it doesn't give me confidents when driving around town. It would seem to me that this would be largely due to the pad type being for higher heat applications, and track use. Which Japanese brand pads would be recommended to remedy this? obviously with as little noise and dust output as possible. I have seen Endless SSS recommended, is there anything else that would be good? cheers for the help!
