    filter piping

the piping will vary in size from AFM to turbo but basically if you are looking at buying a POD filter then you will need a 3 inch [76mm] adapter, which will bolt on to the AFM... I would have posted this info the other day but I am STILL not sure exactly what you are doing - or if I have answered your question... If you had mentioned you were getting a POD filter then my answer is correct, if not: PLEASE EXPLAIN
  2. Sounds to me like somebody got a little action in your car before you bought it Are you sure its moisturiser? I mean, scratch marks and moisturiser? Cmon!!!
  3. The labelling tape is usually related to servicing, there should be either kms [numbers] or a date or something too if you check??? Related to service intervals, it probably just says *Change Filter 50,000ks* or something
  4. nice
  5. Hey Milky :wavey: You could probably get a tyre / wheel specialist to roll the guards - it depends how wide they need to modify it...you can generally make anything fit if you are happy with WIDE guards!!! got a pic?
  6. I found what appears to be a business card for a Milk Bar - all in Japanese writing except for the word MILK. This was found in the drivers sunvisor pocket, and I have left it there! I also found a lighter underneath the carpet, while running some audio cabling through...just as well I didnt put the foor to the floor too quickly There was also a little sticker on drivers window that said TOS + some Jap writing but since it didnt make much sense I removed it...thats about it for me. Good thread

    S15

EDIT*** I really like the S15 in black and almost bought a JDM one, but in the end decided against a 4cyl car...there was a nice black one when I was looking about 18months ago [approx $32K already landed], but would be gone now...If I see or hear anything I will let you know. wow somebody knows how to use the net In this case HID would be referring to Xenon headlights, which are one of many High Intesity Discharge gas/lights. People calling them HID's is kind of misleading...Its like saying I have a Nissan or I have a Skyline, not really descriptive is it ???
  8. Like Rob I can come if its on tuesday... You supplying the souvlaki Sam??? :aroused:
  9. Maybe K+H *grease & wax remover*, it gets the crap off left behind by badges / stickers etc Avaliable most Auto and hardware stores...my mrs' car has the weather shields on it too and I was going to remove them for her except for the glue... be careful though this stuff can damage the paint if left on too long or used too much!
  10. And I haven't even posted yet They will fit on mine 31's & 33's will probably need guard pumpage - your car probably sits to low ash...they are afterall 18x9.5 inches **FAT** Not that I will be putting my car in this year, its too stock and not worth the hassle of being without a car for a whole weekend - withdrawal symptoms kick in

  13. sometimes if you think first before going back - then switch your browser to "Work Offline" and switch the setting *Check for newer versions of stored pages* to "Never" ...then you can retrieve it, but probably to late now... it does suck balls when you have typed your heart away, and then BOOM!!!
  14. I'm not sure but I do know that setup is completely different to any I have seen - though it does look like it may be a factory upgrade [or a really detailed aftermarket job]. Radio cassette is std, but you can option just about anything if your buying it new, Double-din deck, Sat-NAV, CD/MD front or changer etc. Sorry legend - free bump!

    Rip Ns2500?

I would agree that it will probably be a write off. We got a quote for a brand new rear windscreen for a 34 a couple of months back and that was $1,500 it may have even been before freight costs [ex Japan]. However, my previous car was involved in a bad accident [not my fault], total cost of repair was approx $7K - cars market value at the time was no more than $10K. I have heard that most ins. co's go off a figure of about 70% of total cost, if its more they will consider write-off...of course if the car is not structurally sound then that can do the trick also.
  16. you may notice I did say HSV's at one point also, a lot of the VL's still LOOK standard - my other point meh

    Rip Ns2500?

Sorry to hear Greg. I drove from Chadstone to Deer Park last night and saw no less than 8 accidents along the way - heaps of bad driving during the rain, some people should not have a licence if they can't drive in the wet, perhaps the basic licence test should include a SkidPan day? Good luck with getting T2500 [or similar] on the road Edit, actually the first crash was 2 streets away from my house - chadstone rd, chad shop cntr entrance intersection, a Mirage pointing in the wrong direction with the front half of the car mangled similar to yours...
  18. I think part of the problem [for the import cars] is that the police know how to identify us quite easily - other than the car looking heaps sexier than the locals most imports have HUGE exhaust pipes and other stuff [bOV's, BIG wings etc] A lot of the Oz tuned cars are usually fairly sleeperish - their exhaust tip looks stock, their car often looks stock too, I know quite a few modded HSV's that appear standard to the untrained eye, but are 1/4 mile killers Most of the *modified-looking* Oz cars are just RICEY, most of them [NOT ALL] don't have huge power ups. Just have big HOLDEN stickers across the screen but in terms of saftey power isnt a concern for the authorities...A 10 inch tacho, although blocking vision doesnt give the engine any more power... IMO anyway
  19. Dropped price a bit, anyone interested???

    Body Kits

funny thing is some companies call the front bar an Apron
  21. My MRS car was the same as yours CNBLOW - hers was a factory Nismo optioned sports muffler that had 2 inlet pipes, the switch would either open or close one of them, quite nifty but didnt seem to make much difference on hers. Assassin: it may be good to set it up with a dump / screamer pipe....or if you had a really loud exhaust and wanted to quieten down for epa test - but they will probably find the device anyway...basically an adjustable silencer is NOT allowed.
  22. because it is exactly the same as mine [which is manual] - the auto ones have an extra line of display down the middle to show you what *gear* you are in... like this: 1 2 3 D R etc... you can see the line of stuff in the pic here http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v36/co...ne/dash-tv1.jpg and click here if you aren;t convinced its an auto 34 http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v36/co...yline/dash3.jpg
  23. I know its not a great excuse but I couldnt walk or drive on sunday due to alcohol consumption the night before [brother-in-law's 30th b'day]... I did say I had b'day's on last weekend and thus didnt guarantee my presence well before the event...but I would have, should I have needed another drink that is if thats too confusing then try this :)
  24. FYI: that one is definately from a MANUAL R34, the auto one is different.
