2nd iz good, az nark said! Not as much slammage going on by the time you're going for third [+ I miss the darn thing half the time]. This may be my downfall at the drags will have to wait and see...is it just me or does your cars gearbox get tighter when you are driving hard? I find third gear needs to forced a bit - but only at high load / revs? hmmm 3rd has the best range though from 25 / 30 all the way up to 150+ in mine [on the track that is]. oh yeah i like corn chips

Well on paper there is more torque in a GTR - if yer talking 33 GTR then specs are: Skyline R33 GT-R: RB26DETT 2569cc DOHC 24 valve EFI Straight 6 Twin Turbo 208kw @ 6800rpm 367nm @ 4400rpm 8000rpm 1530 kg 5.30 seconds 13.30 seconds Skyline R34: 25GT-Turbo RB25DET 2498cc NEO DOHC 24 valve EFI Straight 6 Turbo 206kw @ 6400rpm 343nm @ 3200rpm 7000rpm 1410 kg 6.00 seconds 14.20 seconds So it will cost whatever is needed to decrease the 1/4 mile time to 13.3 secs. [assuming both stock]. Perhaps $1-2K spent on the right mods could get you into the mid-low 13's [full exhaust, intake, boost, etc]. look at rev210, he has recorded a 13.3 with standard turbo and cooler [r33gtst]. You would still have money left over...from not buying the GTR. Of course the GTR is still a GTR!

i think its hard to compare in text. my boost valve is mounted upside down for starters so clockwise doesnt mean much. definately on my car a reduction in the airflow to the factory boost control valve results in more boost! Read 21st century performance book or look up *boost control* on www.autospeed.com.au there are articles in both that demonstrate that a *restriction* is needed to increase boost!

YES they have provided ALL filters for our import cars otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. I chose the 34 GTT! But at the time 33 gtr's were no less than $40k I didnt have the funding for that much. All i can advise is test drive them both to see what suits you better - looks wise i prefer 34 but thats just me!

MCCR are doing one and price seems to be $35... maybe they do volume discounts?

i say go the chrome as it looks more modern than the black one! altho that pic of chrome is a bit dodgey... btw that 34 rear wing looks nice, u got any other pics of your ride?

Yeah I am thinking similar to you but he [my friend] says if he cant GO he wont need better stopping power ?
