  1. if its monday night - count me as a maybe
  2. cool, thanks ylwgtr! thats much better than $700 [or $330 even]. If all goes well I will have mine over easter
  3. The silver 34 belongs to MUTEX - can't remember his name, he came to the last dyno day... What you reckon is "the go" is what a lot of people do / have done. The only exception being dodgy compliancing that doesnt change them! From what I can make out of ylwgtr's posts you can NOT buy a kit for the 34. You may be able to buy an HID Xenon kit just as you can for other makes / models - I have seen these advertised in car mags but are over $800 from memory...
  4. A picture speaks a 1000 words [here's 2000 in one post ] HALOGEN: XENON:
  5. ok SS8- the answer to that question is: The whole assembly / cluster needs to be changed over. My current headlights [whole assembly] are from the base model skyline [advised by ylwgtr] and are used to comply the car, the xenon assembly is whats taken out during compliance. In addition to this I think ylwgtr mentioned that he knows someone who can convert the xenon one to standard but doesnt recommend destroying a good set of xenons! Howzat??? ps. if you look closely at both headlight assemblies / clusters there is plenty of visual difference too, between the Xenon and Halogen [searching for pics...hang on]
  6. cool, thanks!
  7. UPDATE: I have just been offered the xenons for a straight swap-over...is it worth it? [i know they look good ;p] But are there any Significant risks? Anyone been in trouble with the authorities or just a rumour? [police, vic roads, epa?] ylwgtr: can you get the xenon bulbs cheaper than $330? Do you know how long they last for? And lastly, how much is a levelling / cleaning kit? I am familiar with xenon lamps used in "data / video projector technology" and most last for at least 10,000 hours these days, but i dont know about the "automotive based" lamps? For $330 they had better last a couple of years! Btw, to change / remove the headlight assembly you need to remove your front bar as there is ONE bolt underneath the bar [at each side] that needs to be unbolted to remove the light = pain in the butt! My car is sitting at home with no front end / headlights, it looks naked Btw part 2: I have never heard of a factory headlight bulb that needed to be replaced by removal of the headlamp unit [corrrect if wrong]. Being a "consumable" headlight / parker / indicator / brake bulbs are usually pretty easy to replace on ALL cars...[this does not apply to dashlights of course]. Parker stalk just needs to be rotated a 1/4 turn and it will just pull straight out! unless its rusted in of course...i think they were anti-clockwise... /end thesis thanks for the info ylwgtr!
  8. correct nark, you arent, interstate you can, but not here, can only have numbers after letters [or all numbers] afaik. could do monkeh's last one like this though: REV34 - double meaning ?
  9. Dude, I have heard of them but havent got anything done there myself - yet! A friend got a custom made stainless intake pipe made up from them [3 inch i think]. I can give you these details for contact: trikfab (stainless steel fabrication) ringwood ph: 0412 814 591 (ask for max)
  10. i have heard that it looks like water, but in fact it isnt, some stuff to help traction? VHT? why would they use water anyways - that would be silly. they cancel drags if its raining so i dont get it? cool about the street tyre / no burnout thing - cause i dont wanna do a burnout anyways...leave that for the doorslammers and muzza's etc
  11. oh yeah, nizmokid, how much are you asking ? [i couldnt find it in FS section] ?
  12. Dude, I have yet to find out if the 34 is the same as the older model in terms of speed cut [removal] - to me it feels more of an electrical / fuel cut than a simple / mechanical screw! Of course if you buy one of the abovementioned gadgets, it will be fine. In terms of wire 53, I don't know anyone that has done this on a 34 - yet. 33 / 32 have afaik but not ours...waiting patiently
  13. Mine is exactly the same in terms of pin position, looks to be doing 190km/h. I didnt look at the tacho on my first go when it hit the limiter [around 190 mark], but decided to do it again just to check rpm. Mine was in the area of 5,000rpm in 5th gear and still wanted to pull hard...until it hits the limiter of course...I can feel there is plenty more there, with the speed cut I think mine would get up around the 250 mark but the road / track would have to be very flat and long for me to try...felt comfortable at 180 / 190
  14. I wish - its fotoshop Thanks.
