You can enjoy a skyline without thrashing it up and down a dragstrip.
TUFR33 asked a question and all you guys are talking about is penis size
I have been to Perth recently and the air was fine - what are you guys on?
When you assemble 10-15 or more cars together for a dyno day its not just about a one-off number - you have COMPARISON amongst other things by which to measure up your car [and its state of tune / mods] to the next guy's [state of tune / mods]. Benchmarking is also important to gauge any future mods...
Some people may never take their pride and joy down to the track and there is nothing wrong with that - nobody has anything to prove. You do what you are interested in - the same as TUFR33 may be interested in reaching one of his own goals...?
I will run mine one day [legal-drags] but for now I am happy with the performance / handling / ride quality etc...
/one for the philosophical archives...

If you want to link to mine then do so, or even edit it and re-host it... http://users.tce.rmit.edu.au/e41821/DynoSheet.jpg
if you want I can host them all for you...just let me know!
I made them work - but had to fawcett!!
[right-click corrupt pic-link, slect properties, copy pic url, cancel window, paste url into browser, hit back button, then it works, i cbf doing it again though]...
add that into the wtf for archives
If its in writing and signed by the responsible parties [ie everyone involved] it will be legal.
Our current insurers have a disclaimer that makes your cover null and void when you "race" your car...some will allow it for an extra premium but not many [and the cost is huge]! I have heard stories of some people removing their number plate for track days - just in case
I would assume that if someone damaged my car, being their fault, they would pay for repair, otherwise you can count me out! If I damage someone else's car I pay - its that simple.
Is it the one with Carbon Fibre tail light surrounds?
If it is then its ylwgtr - a member on here! you will find pics of it in the january imports cruise / Vic events section
Sounds like a plan to me
What brand dyno is it? Locality [near Essendon or ?]?
I am pretty keen - though I am not expecting to get much more than 182 in current form... I will probably wait until after I have done some mods. Looking at finishing off exhaust soon.
Yes, but how are we going to get in there? Looked on the web and there is 24kms of all sorts of roads including high speed areas etc...
I am sure LinFox doesnt own Lang Lang PG!
Anyone got a good contact @ holden / hsv?

Excerpt from Avalon Airport Australia AVA
A new era for Avalon dawned in April 1959 with the Opening of the Qantas Jet Training Base established for the introduction of the Boeing 707. The airport underwent significant development for this purpose and included an extension of the runway to its present length of 3,048 metres (10,000 ft) in 1972 as a precursor to the introduction of the Qantas' B747 fleet. Avalon remains a location for Qantas training, aircraft refurbishment and maintenance today.
Thats possibly the longest we are going to get in Oz / Vic.
Al, you won't get a straight 2 miles long on any race track AFAIK - an airport runway maybe but not a race track!
For reference, Sandown's Length of Main straight: 491m
Calder national full-track, Length: 2.28km [straight is possibly up to 1000m at a guess]. From motorsport.com.au "Calder Park also boasts the longest drag racing strip in Australia"
I wouldnt mind knowing how long Avalon airstrip is
/more researching/...
In the garage would be better
Hey I have been on pleny cruises 0 tonight I have other things to do and dont want to stay out all night - cause thats what will happen if i go...next time maybe...
Thanks again Doc!
One thing has got me curious though: did the guys keep turning off the TCS after each restart of engine?
TCS always comes back on after ignition / engine shutdown!
Perhaps this explains why increased boost and also using your BV didnt make a difference?
I only turned off TCS the first time...
yeah, they do kinda look aftermarket, but I wanted to cover up the centre bit - esp at the back cause you can see the axle - the front has a cap on it or something...was thinking of just some white plastic insert...maybe dunno  undecided atm
I dont share your enthusiasm over the colour of the GTT "series II" wheels, though I do like that similar colour on the 34gtr 18 x 9.5 's - did you see the green GTT in HPI that had powdercoated the gtr rims in white? that looked awesome! dont know about the green paint though - not my cuppa tea.
As a general rule - I cant get them powder coated, was a once off, the factory that did it had: black, white, brass and some other colour but not that smoked grey alloy that you are talking about.
If you bought the colour yourself I am sure any powder coating place would do it for you!
Powder Coating
