he he Thanks Pushead - I got it done for free, would you believe? A once off opportunity though - I dont think I can even get any others done...even at a cost... You generally need to clean your wheels thoroughly and sand them back a bit - or have them sandblasted / paint stripped. The cleaner and more prepared the better they will turn out. I cleaned mine with degreaser and gave them a quick sanding - they were already in pretty good nick though!

mine cruises around to where "190" would be and then a gentle - "where do you think you're going son" kicks in and spoils the fun... Does anyone know if that #53 wire cut works on a 34? I wouldn't mind hitting up to around 250kmh or so, providing it still feels relatively safe as 180 does of course Yeah, wheels use a radar gun all of the time too.../me thinks of any cops I might know...hmm

Where are your results guys? Post them up for all to see - its not about showing off - it really does give others a chance to see how / what their cars can acheive when modded - or a baseline figure when stock [ish]! Its "technical" for me anyway! Post away...

Thanks guys! No NOS for me. Lowered suspension is in the pipeworks but dont want to lose the nice ride comfort, researching my options. Yes Powder Coated, thats why the centre caps are missing, they are plastic and would have melted. I may spray them or just leave as-is. Still haven't decided fully on whether to leave it or put them on. Is it American? Beats me, I have liked white wheels for a very looooooong time. I like the contrast against black, but wanted to see what other people think too!

I was supposed to be getting them for free, but now I dont know. If they are going to charge me I wont bother based on bulb replacement costs, fogging up issues and also ADR / legal issues... I am happy with my headlights and xenons dont represent a worthwhile MOD imo...

All factory ECU in mine. Your theory may relate to 33's only, think about it - there is not much knowledge in this country about 34's - yet! Perhaps Nissan wrote a different ECU program, for a different car? Would you say the r32 is the same as your car? I wouldnt.

I agree, and I have always been happy with the respnosiveness of mine - ever since I bought it. Power curve I am happy with too... I dont think I will bother with those electronic gizmos either [safc, ebc, ecu etc.]. Rather keep it on the rich side to be safe - esp with stock cooler / turbo etc...

Magazines do testing all of the time - some mags get different results. Most cars even when stock will get different results. High Performance Imports recorded 148rwkw on a dead stock R34gtt also - and from what I understand of drivetrain losses and similar tests done elsewhere - a figure AROUND 150 is correct! To get 161rwkw, I imagine your car is not completely stock - how do you know it is anyway? Have you checked the ECU? Is it factory issue? What about the exhaust? Stock? What kind of fuel? Additives? Cam? Air filter [inc hi-flow panel type]? Air flow sensor mesh - this could be removed? There are a lot of little things that could have been done to give you some "extra" numbers... I am not having a go - simply curious because I havent seen a stock 34 in australia produce over 150. I would be happy if it were mine and was dead stock Well done!

Hey thats cool, I got there at 8:00 after going to bed at 2 [dont know how]. I agree with your other statment too Gordon, I was more concerned with how much boost I was really running and what the air/fuel delivery was like, as well as checking the C.A.S. A rwkw figure was definately a secondary requirement for me [believe it or not] - although I am pleasantly surprised by the number of course My factory boost guage is out by about 2-2.5 Psi - at least now I know what I am running! CAS was set to 16/17 degrees [btdc] from memory, which is only slightly advanced!

I was only expecting around 160 ~ 170 max! Mods were POD, Boost and cat-back exhaust. [sorry I took a while to reply, had to post and run]

CR34TION, your head light assembly needs to be changed! The XENON unit is completely different. The part is made in Aus [especially for compliance] I think the brand is NIKOH. Speak to any compliancer, they should be able to source them if you want. Changing to a normal halogen globe wont work AFAIK! Cheers.
