yes, i agree its probably easier for him to just party locally, less staggering needed later on! There will be heaps happening round the area, including middle park [just down cantebury road from fitzroy st.] dont worry fatz there will be loads of peolpe partying everywhere! I used to dj in a club on fitzroy st stkilda ~ when the grand prix is on its crazy!

    help

pred, i think he already has accommodation by the sounds of it...just asking about night life and cruising... fatz: depends if you like bands or dj music really, old or current music etc...I would never recommend any place til i found out what you like...[i am a dj] there is no point sending you to a flower shop if you dont like flowers, if you know what i mean...so what scene are you into? Techno? rnb? bands? cover bands? OR is it more about the alcohol and babes, music not such an issue?
  5. excellent! i didnt read that part...or u never said...? have you tried legal aid fo advice?
  6. Yes, but at the end of the day, its your word against their's. a few years ago i was in a similar boat - no insurance and the other person [at fault] denied it. My solicitor said you could spend like $1,000 dollars to take them to court and you may not get anything, if the judge decides that you can both pay your own way, or worse you lose the case...I can pm you my sloicitor details if you really want to pursue it. Perhaps chat to legal-aid for some free advice!
  7. you go passed the outbound one and take the next exit ~ [about 500m] fitzgerald road, do a u-turn under the bridge and get back on the inbound side...its the only way thats worth doing from where we comin from...
  8. mine currently has simex too, they are cheapies but seem to grip just fine, they are around $170>180 each or so I am told. Ed: not much, just cat-back [kakimoto 3.5"], pod filter and Less than you by looking at your avatar! hopefully around 160 - 170 rwkws
  9. we will find out sooner or later
  10. yeah i agree mine is probably not that slippery even in the wet! how stock is your car? maybe you got more power than standard too?
  11. i wont need to swap cause i already have the non-xenons...I havent got the xenons yet...dude getting them is OS atm i havent forgotten u are keen though Ed i am pissed at how long its taking to get stuff too...
  12. so you keep saying...
  13. about 6pm
  14. oh yeah, just be sure to read the packet the filter comes in > some of the really cheap ones [not simota] say *not suitable for use in turbo cars* I have come across this only once [a/barn], the filter will probably be fine but if it does stuff up - you can be sure there will be NO warranty coverage!
  15. I have read all of those tests on filters and personally dont see the point in spending $300. Sure they may look good or flow a bit better or even sound a certain way but I am happy [as are other friends] with my $30>40 Simota etc filter. Stock turbo and engine only need a certain amount of flow anyway [there is such a thing as too much I believe], a pod provides a better flow than a panel - this has been proven. A lot of the expensive pods seem to fall into the *oil* category too which makes them non-epa compliant [illegal]. So no foam and no oil to be safe and legal... If you are like me you won't let your filter [pod or otherwise] get dirty anyway ~ if it does and you cant clean it, buy another one! At $30 odd dollars a pop you'd be lucky to spend anywhere near the cost of the others, maybe in 10 years or so... I have found this book very useful *21st Century Performance* by Julian Edgar. A lot of his articles from the book are found at www.autospeed.com.au plus other tests / reviews...buy the book or read through the website for info on air filters / turbos / boost / exhaust etc...
  16. yeah ok then - the adapter is built into the pod ~ same as unifilter I believe...but they don't cost $30 like my pod either I personally can't justify spending 200-300 dollars on a pod that doesnt do that much to increase performance [compared to the cheaper ones]..call me a :shake: I dont care!
  17. you mean Reg Hunt as in car dealership? Or rex hunts fishing world LOL...
  18. /end thread jacking hope to see your 34 at the next event Sid!
  19. Couldnt find anything on Intake mods listed there? *goes to check epa website*
  20. actually that one regarding tint was much easier to understand than i thought. maybe i could pass my car off as a bus and get a ruling...he he
  21. got it now ~ one thing i hate about their regulations is that you need to be a solicitor to bloody read them...and understand them fully. When I read the one about wheel sizes it seemed to me that if a car in the same model run has bigger you can go 1 inch wider than that...but it wasnt very clear...
  22. pred: that link you posted dun work...
  23. hey thats cool, well funny thing about tint is that the owner of a tint franchise seems to think that the back end can be whatever you like, he said most people go the same as the front to match it though. I need to take a whole day off work and get all these kinds of questions answered...from EPA>VicRoads>Police>and so on...
  24. i am pretty keen but havent checked calendar yet... closer to city is my preference somewhere more central, it seems we already have north, east and west people...too
  25. i am closer, near chadstone, but as you know i have the 34 box. just let me know if u wanna try it...oh yeah i have a stock filter too, for even less noise than other panel types [A360]
