  1. I went passed there about 9pm, too many muzzas, the cops turned up and i rolled out :burnout: was pretty busy, didnt see any thongs though
  2. Yes it was me, i was saying that i didnt go *on* the dyno...but i was there...if that makes sense?
  3. i may be able to come down...washed the car last night as i am about to do a photoshoot myself...just deciding on a few locations...already did a nice beach shoot with my old car [elwood]:
  4. hmm i saw this post the day after and was too late i guess, i have a 34 and i have 2 tripods too, and FTR i am reliable btw i am not interested in putting gtr stickers on cause ppl would know on here anyway! but for a price...anything is possible
  5. then u dim sum? I didnt go on but i will if there is another one...? Is there one planned soon?
  6. a31_cefiro: I have that issue thanks anyway. i have read it a few times and will probably do something similar! Do you haapen to have the first installment of the 34 project? I have all of the others except for the very first one! very useful info for me... R33NT: dude, read my earlier post, i already know that the pipe can collapse and why...i have bought a pod but want to make / buy a cold air box for it before i use it, i have read the article and also will be changing the ribbed condom in due course - similar to the hpi 34 project car. Oh yeah and i like the pod noise but its TOO loud, i dont want that much attention, and changing gears less than 2000rpm just to keep it quiet is not my idea of driving
  7. Yes, this is the only rubber pipe in the intake system, well on the 34 anyway, i assume yours is similar...I am trying to find out where too?
  8. Lethal, i am not changing this pipe for LOOKS! I am changing it cause, being flexible, under certain boost conditions [ie 3-5 psi higher than stock] it starts to collapse inwards, not ideal. The pipe is not designed for high-boost its designed for standard which on my car is .55 bar or just under 8psi. I will be coating the pipe in black for a factory style look the same as my cooler pipes! No rice here thanks, not interested. This is a common issue when modifying skylines / silvias...in HPI they replaced the pipe with a commodore one from memory but had to be modified...will look into that if i cant get one off the shelf.
  9. Nice one I wouldnt mind those wheels either...nice on black too me thinks...
  10. Agreed - stop the poll now
  11. I wouldnt mind seeing a much more up to date version of that test, "r31" skyline box in there - surely their has been some advancement in technology since then? Of course that skyline was made here too, the Japanese IMO are way ahead of AUS in this department...but still a good read, thanks rev!
  12. Thanks R33NT. I did read in HPI magazine that you can put a spring inside the hose - I dont want to do this either! I was kinda hoping you could buy something ready-made and bolt it on. I guess I will have to get one made up...unless someone else knows anything?
  13. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement pipe *off the shelf* to replace the factory ribbed-plastic pipe from the AFM>Turbo? Or is this a *custom* job? If so who has done this and where did you get it made up? Prices would be nice too? I am concerned about it being restrictive but even more worried about it collapsing! Please help!!! Longtime poster, first time thread starter!
  14. yeah, the power figures are all similar but POOR filtration is not really want you would want...I have a cheap pod...will upgrade....
  15. rev210 you seem to be fairly against POD's being a worthwhile mod - in terms of actually increasing power. Have you read this article: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_t...st/2/index.html ??? Everytime i read about pod's there seems to be conflicting opinions... Does anyone know where I could get a replacement pipe *off the shelf* to replace the factory ribbed pipe from the AFM>Turbo? Or is this a *custom* job? if so who has done this and where did you get it made up? Prices? I am not so much worried about it being restrictive as i am about it collapsing! Please help!!!
  16. Enrico, please send it to me too [email protected] [i am hoping it will be suitable for the 34gtt]. Thanks
  17. You also have a POD filter in this car! I know because I drove it...so you got it with the white wheels? or did they put on some other wheels for you?...[kamikaze yes]...
  18. As shiro mentioned they are indeed 225 / 45 [your memory serves you well ob1]... 7.5 inches wide are the wheels young padawan. ok enough SW :shake:
  19. even car dealers write *tommy kiara* as long as they dont say *tommy ki-ora* then it will be fine!
  20. Is your one yellow or white calvintys? why selling? u buying a gtr or something else?
  21. I personally think that 215 is not wide enough, why would you want narrower than stock, on a wider than stock wheel
  22. They had to go and mess it up with that handle...oh well! Same exhaust as mine, kakimoto - out the side They both look really clean!
  23. No worries Creation, thats cool. Good to hear you are buying the beast! Check this site for a Tyre Guide This should help you choose a tyre that is roughly the same circumference as the stock setup [225 / 45 ~ 17 x 7.5] You dont want to just put ANY size tyre on, or you will stuff up your tacho / speedo / odometer / etc! My car currently has: Front: 17 x 8, 235 / 45 Rear: 17 x 9, 255 / 40 Hope this helps

Thanks K! Ah ha! Unless I have 340 horses under the bonnet...hmm not yet maybe in a month or two! he he [probably getting close to 300 though, since 280 standard] hmm now where was that boost switch... I think i will call vic roads next week too! Damn i wish they had an online system, they charge enough for the things [sheez]!
  25. I am keen [as mentioned in GP thread]. We may end up needing a few different meet points - ppl in the city / east could meet closer to city [perhaps near docklands?], ppl in west could meet somewhere central to them [werribee plaza?] [or just geelong] and then the main point somewhere in Geelong is probably the go I reckon. Cardinia Park / Shell Stadium in Geelong [football ground] has a pretty big car park area, and is on the main highway too! [would have to check if there is an event on for that day though]. My Bro works in Geelong. i could ask him about a meet point if need be. FYI: from chadstone s/c to torquay takes me 1hr 15mins on a good run [speed limited to 100kmh of course].
