I have seen a few R34 GTR's around, the latest being a white v-spec in caulfield, owned by a japanese guy i think. N1 NUR? Is that possible? I thought it was "V-Spec II Nur", or just "N1", but not both?

Best time out of a STOCK R33 25T
NismoR34 replied to kabab's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I thought that Simex [tyres] were ok and not that cheap  Mine are the 235 / 45 variety on stock 17x7.5 wheels...The model number is sm8200 i think. Would b nice to find out about this slicks / elf 33 drag time! -
yeah i test drove a white 34gtt with the tommy k dash, i didnt like the digital speedo much though! And for the same money [$1k] i prefer the Nismo dash - except i dunno if i like the yellow / orange text on it. what colour is it @ nite i wonder?
-
I want to do mine also, hopefully nothing gets damaged. Anyone got some feedback on this? by this he means our batteries are in the engine bay, not the boot like a 33

i get my best economy when i go on cruises believe it or not. Mainly cause my normal driving is shorter trips. Only had my 34 for about 6 weeks but have recorded 385 kms from 36 litres - highway driving only. The tank is 65 litres. Reviews i have read say that it is a little more economical than the 33, i have seen figures of 9.4 l / 100 kms quoted.

Umm, I wasnt, as i said...before just cant really get my head around why skyzzer33 said so i re-posted. perhaps no-one here understands logic or english?BTW: [and this is for all arrogant "easties" et al] There is nothing wrong with Sunshine actually, there are some really nice people that live there. Also some really nice streets too. Unfortunately like most suburbs there are ****heads and losers as well! Even if i was bragging, whats it to you? Where are you from? Why are you so special that you can call it "SCUMSHINE". That is like a white person calling a black person *African American* when you are not black. In other words its "offensive" and "derogatory". So dont tell me [forum admins etc] that I am the trouble maker here! I am sick of the media, also portraying the west as they do[negatively]. Dandenong and Broadmeadows ring a bell? They are not west and there are even worse suburbs than these. As Eric B and Rakim said: "It aint where you're from, it's where you're at" [peace:thumbsup:]

hmm, on second thought. I went down there to ATP yesterday [thurs] and had a chat to the guy. They are nice blokes. Helpful and they seem to know turbo's pretty well I think! They have a GSR running 11.7 sec 1/4 mile times. Also featured in fast fours mag [on cover]. The guy said they have never exclusively been just evo /gsr tuners. They have been doing all sorts of turbo's for quite a while now. They had 3 r33 gtst's [tongue twister] in the shop when I was there. The white project car of theirs is also in a mag [cant remember which one now]. This has 205kw @ the wheels approximately. Last week this ran an easy 13.2 at calder but had major tractions probs that they guys are now addressing before their next run. They are expecting low - mid 12's with their setup. Mods, include FMIC, bigger turbo, custom exhaust etc...they are quite friendly guys to talk too and I am definately considering taking my car there for mods - they dont do servicing or the like though! Hope this helps! Cheers, Dale.

Hey SS8_Gohan! Standard is a radio cassette deck with 4 speakers - they are labelled as "premium" speakers. CD is an option afaik, so is the boot mounted 6 stack. Personally being an audiophile and deejay - they are not up to the task for me! Thats why i removed my old stereo from previous car and installed it all in the 34 within about 2 weeks of owning it! Factory stereo is better than some of the older jap cars though. Speakers aren't too bad but the head unit is ordinary imo. And you will need a frequency converter [around $25-40 not installed] if you plan on listening to any of our radio stations above 90 MHz - which is like all except for 88-90mhz anyways. If you like the gospel / christian channel currently on 89.9 then hey you are in luck! For reference: our radio frequency allocation bandwidth is 88 > 108 MHz so you will miss out on nearly all of the common channels if you leave the stock HU in. Cheers.

whoops, i mean the overflow on a 33 is near the relay box [battery on 34 is where your overflow is]. almost  myself then. enough from me.
-
thats from the channel 10 ad. isnit?
-
i couldnt agree more doxximus, but i would prefer to have "some" tuning done as well. Check / adjust ignition timing and a few other minors. I have had too many bad experiences out in "bayswater" [not with goodguys but others]. inark, we paid $30 @ nizpro with another club dyno day - was only 10 people. If I have the money I will come - just a maybe for now. thanx.
-
i think you will find on the 34 that the radiator overflow is in the way - as it is on the same side as the airbox [LH P/S]. Whereas on the 33 the airbox is near the battery [RH D/S]
-
that is what i have done LOL. [cardboard].
-
seemingly yes...but its a long story...we didnt get to finish what we started...do'h...damn ppl who dont give way to on-coming traffic...now i have bald patches on my tyres...lol update: hmm, i dont know that he was trying too hard either, but it is an auto [mainly for drag racing purposes].

what about the Nismo R34 [300kmh] speedo's / cluster? Any calibrations or PnP? I have seen one for $1000 brand new, can anyone get them cheaper than this? Thanks.
