  1. It's good to know that there still are a lot of sensible people out there. Every skyline enthusiast should consider taking their car out to the race circuits. It will be quite an eye opener. You will realise that: 1. It's a lot of fun! 2. Hooning around on public roads is unnecessary. 3. You become a better driver. 4. You contribute to maintaining the skyline badge's "legend" reputation. 5. You will want to mod your car further...and you can! Cheers!
  2. Hey guys, Driving skylines is a unique privilege. However, there are some who just get too carried away believing they're king of the road. Whoever you are I hope you frequent these forums and read this because you need an urgent attitude change. I was driving my family home in my skyline tonight at 7:45 pm-my wife was front passenger, my 9 yr old daughter and a friend of hers were sitting at the back. We decided to drive through McDonald's at Kings Park. Driving out from McDonald's, we passed a group of people hanging out where their cars were parked. One of them was a purple R33. As we passed them, I noticed the owner of the R33 hurriedly get into his car. I didn't think too much of it. About a couple of minutes later, still driving along on an unlit stretch of road this car was suddenly tailgating us with it's blow off valve blaring. Obviously, he wanted to race. I was doing 50 on a 50kph street and he wanted to race. He decided to overtake us on our left side and then proceeded to do a burn-out once he was in front. I caught up to him at the next set of lights. I angrily asked him what it was that he was trying to prove. I then said to him that I had kids in the car. He then took off without saying much. Whoever you are...there is nothing at all that you need to prove to other motorists on public roads, especially a fellow skyline driver. Are you stupid? If you are that desperate to show off how good a driver you are and what a beast your skyline is, why don't you just take it to the track. With that kind of attitude, you are bound to hurt yourself, or OTHERS soon! I Hope you lose your license you "#*!&%"
  3. Has anyone ever tried using Trust GRex Sports Brake Pads? Are you satisfied with the product? I've recently fitted these on my car. The stopping power is quite good. A bit squealy though when slowing down to a stop at the lights.
  4. I just saw that at Autobarn in Penrith NSW the other day. They have the complete set over there. Maybe you could arrange for them to mail a copy to you. Or ask a good samaritan SAU member from NSW tho do it for you. Their number is 02 4721 7044
  5. I noticed the same thing at Eastern Creek on Monday. Took the car for a spin with a tank full of BP Ultimate. At around 3pm I went out to refill at the nearest petrol station (Shell). Went back to the track with exactly the same car settings for a couple more sessions. I noticed that it was running roughly. I couldn't think of anything else other than the Optimax causing this.
  6. I don't think there is such a thing...
  7. Can someone please tell me where to find the fuel filter on an R34? Cheers
  8. try bd4s at gladesville
  9. I have a set of 18" Drift R's with staggered tyres 245s and 265s. You are absolutely right about the quality of the Falken 326s...they suck! Can't wait to get rid of them.
  10. don't bother with any attempts...you will be disappointed.
  11. just wanted to get anyone's feedback on air filter to turbo pipes sucking in on 34 GTT's running approx 1.0 bar and up (especially on hot days). This was featured in one of the issues of HPI (Project R34). I dialled up boost to over 1.0 bar recently. However at approx 4000 rpm the engine suddenly cut off. I am quite sure it's soft pipe connecting the afm to the turbo that's the culprit. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to cure this. These are a few of them: -Pull out the hose and get it reinforced with aluminium piping -Insert a coil spring inside the rubber pipe to keep it from sucking closed at high vacuum levels -etc Have anyone of you R34 owners come across this problem?
  12. manual is the way to go. ican sell you my tiptronic transmission if you want cause i'm converting mine eventually. you have to find out if there is anyone who can swap a 34 trans onto a 33
