  1. Sorry Here it is...
  2. Just thought you maight be interested...
  3. Thanks guys. And sorry for all the confusion. I think I am still confused myself. Emre, I tried your suggestion and you're right. I did a running test at approx 65kph and I got a reading of 5.5 sec which is mathematically correct. However, doing a standing start test gave consistent 100 kph+ terminal speed in conjunction with the time logged.
  4. roughly the same R33 GTR dollars in Oz...
  5. Tits, That must be one of the best posts I've seen. Please print them out and post them at public places. Good on ya!
  6. pivot speedmeter measures 0-100 kph, 0-200 kph, 0-300 kph and 0-400 metres. To make it more clear, an olympic runner does about 9-10 sec for the 100 m sprint. A 6 sec skyline (0-100m) wouldn't be faster than a human by only 3-4 sec to 100 m would it.
  7. G'day all, I just wanted to know what everyone thinks about the reliability of Pivot's speedmeter. I had one installed recently and on my second attempt on the M4, my 0-100 figure was 6.00 sec. I was pleased with this because I had the silencer on my muffler fitted in. The times varied from between 6 sec and 6.3.:burnout:
  8. Not me... would like to hear feedback from you eventually though.
  9. I was on my way home after purchasing my Speedmeter x at Castle Hill. As I turned into Old Windsor Rd (80 kph limit) from Norwest Blvd I kept myself on the left (slow) lane. There was this brand new SS ute from behind on the right lane doing about a hundred. He lined me up then did a couple of hard revs (I think he wanted to scare me). I laughed and went behind him straight away. Shifted to 2nd and floored it (now it's my turn to do the intimidating). As expected, these cowering assholes beeming with ignorant pride in their agricultural pseudo performance tyre-wearers are usually the ones who get scared in the end. I remembered this article in the current Wheels magazine about major pinging and oil consumption problems with the BIG MIGHTY GEN III 5.7. At the set of lights, I enthusiastically complimented him for having such a grunty sports car. Although I could never forget the look of embarrasment in his face when I pointed out that there was a trail of black motor oil from behind the big V8. MWAHHAHHAHAA!! I'm going crazy!
  10. Hey all, Can anyone please recommend where i can get a pivot speedmeter x fitted in Sydney. Thanks:burnout:
  11. It's true... Shifting up is quite slow. But shifting down is quick. It's still quite fast though. I find the three options (full auto, tiptronic and steering wheel shifter) very convenient with different driving conditions.:burnout:
  12. A white TM Magna (1986), then a blue TP Magna (1991), then a beige KF Verada (1998). As you would have concluded, I was a Magna fan. I was even a Magna Owners Club Member...and then I saw the light!!!
  13. Hey wrxkilla, Can you provide me your friend's e-mail. I am interested in getting one of those devices. By the way, I am getting a front pipe from HKS (BD4's) for $385. That doesn't sound bad does it? High flow cat will be courtesy of Just Jap. BD4's also sells HKS FMIC kit for approx $2,500...yum!!
  14. Thank you
  15. I do intend to take the car to EC one day. Thanks guys
  16. Hello everyone, Could anyone please let me know what would be the best/most efficient way of taking off the speed limiter on the skyline? Thanks heaps:uh-huh:
  17. thanks all! happy driving
  18. G'day gents and ladies, At last, I've given up on the stock car and started with a few mods. It's addictive! I just wanted to ask anyone out there if an ecu would be the next logical step... I have a HKS 3" cat back; and a K&N high flow panel filter. The difference is awesome (my wife hates me more now). Everything else is stock at the moment. Should I go for a FMIC and front pipe first before getting something like a Apexi Power FC? Thanks guys. Look forward to soaking up on your words of wisdom.:uh-huh:
  19. wow:uh-huh:
