Hows it goin Rezz? I have decided to move to Sapporo next year to live for a couple years and I have a few questions that you might or might not be able to help me with. I am half Japanese and have been and worked in Japan before mainly in hospitality ie bars and restaurants. This time round however I am considering teaching English which I have no experience at but I hear is very enjoyable and would like to give it a go part time. Was just wondering about your thoughts on teaching English, what you have heard from other Aussies teaching over there and if it is difficult? Also, I have many friends over there who own restaurants both Japanese and Westerners who have asked me to bring Aussie wine over for them, I was interested in exporting a variety of Australian wines in fairly decent quatities to sell to various restaurants around Sapporo. I can get the wine quite cheap but the logistics is something I dont know about eg export and associated costs, I need to research into it a little more but thought that I would ask you first if you would know anything about it ie costs, laws or even contacts that may be of use to me. Lastly, what do you do with yourself over there? Thanks for your time, any response would be appreciated. Michael

Thanks heaps for all your replies will keep you posted about progress. I have spoken to a few peolple and you guys are right it seems to be the clutch starting to give way. The engine still purs like a ***** and definitely doesnt sound like a wrx, however I thought that you would feel the clutch slipping in the lowers gears aswell but I dont really know as I have never had clutch problems in any of my cars. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info mate will try and reset the ecu tonight as I know it is not the clutch. It seems strange though as it happens on and off and mainlyu in the high gears ie 4 th and 5th.

G'day, My car has just recently been doing something not normal, was wondering if anybody could help. If Im in a high gear such as 4th or 5th and plant my foot from 2000 rpm the revs will go up and the car will slowly accelerate, when boost comes on the car will rev hard but the car wont accelerate at the same as the revs. My car is running standard boost. I think it may be something to do with spark or my coilpacks are getting old. Does anybody know the symptoms of worn coilpacks and does this sound correct?

Might just get a plumb back, bit sick of the sound my atmo makes anyway.... too loud. Thanks again

Similar thing happens to me in my 33. Only in the higher gears tho. Sometimes if im in say 5th gear and i accelerate from 2000rpm when it boost comes on the revs will rev hard but the car wont accelerate at the rate of the revs. Not sure what it is maybe spark?

Thanks for the response mate, you are right it is the the stalling that annoys me especially when you lose the power steering.... so I have also adjusted my driving style accordingly, however I would rather drive without bliping the throttle (after venting). So even with a safcII and mixtures tuned, you will still run rich for a moment and stalling will still occur? If so I think I will change my blow off valve to a plumb back before I install my A/F controller. Do you know if this would occur with a power fc and atmo BOV?

Thanks for the reply mate, I think it sort of answers my question but I think even if you tune the mixtures to certain rev ranges the atmo BOV will still trick the standard computer that the throttle is still open, but I dont really know...... G'day all, I was just wondering....... if I install an air/fuel controller ie SAFC with an atmospheric BOV and have it tuned accordingly will the mixtures still run rich due to the air flow meter being tricked by the BOV? Is this also the case if I have my car tuned with a Power FC? Any response would be appreciated. Cheers
