  2. Go to Unique Auto Sports in Castle hill,Ben did a wicked job on my car and it is running so smoother with more power and using less fuel, cost me $247.00 fitted and tuned. ps did not have safc2 though it was a different brand but there all pretty much the same.
  3. Dude you must have more money than brain cells, you would have to rip the GTT to pieces. Why dont you just buy some nice mods for the GTT or buy an R33 GTR?

  5. Bendix ultimates are excellent pads for stopping however they do tend to squeak alot simply because of the materials they are made from, not the way they are fitted.
  6. What if you have a bleed valve? Personal preference I guess, I find it easier to read than digital.

Im sure that its accurate, but there isnt any way of distinguishing small increments in boost. eg my Blitz boost guage goes like 0, 0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5,0.6 bar etc the stocky goes -7x100mmHG, 0, +7x100mmHG, it fine to guess but can you tell the difference between 12psi and 13psi? If your running a stock turbo it might mean the diiference between blowing it up or extending its life. For the price of $60 to $160 its small invetment. Plus they look good hehe
  8. You will get slightly more throttle lag when installing a larger front mount and I found that if your running standard ecu you will run really rich thus will rob your power significantly. If there is a leak in the cooler pipes you will hear it, so my guess is that you need to get it tuned. Might be a good idea to get a boost guage to tell you exactly what you running so you can moniter boost aswell, stock boost guage is shite. You really shouldnt be losing power though with the denser air going into the inlet.
  9. Where abouts in the Northern subs? I live in the north because of my work and it is expensive but its all relative to what you earn and depends if or how far you want to travel to work. A one bedroom apartment will be around $800 a month, if yo cna find someone to share with it will be cheaper. I live with two mates in a three bedroom apartment and we pay about $480 a week together. I was born in Melbourne but never paid rent there so I cant really help with a cost of living comparison. But Im pretty sure that Sydney is pretty expensive compared to most cities. The closer you get to the city the more you pay. Hope that helps abit.

  12. I went the all cheap kit cost me around $600 and works like magic can feel the power straight away but the car is running rich and is dumping fuel so ill need to tune the air fuel ratios. Just cut the BOV vacuum hose and tee into that it easy. I think you actually get a better reading from the original spot so n the future im gonna weld in a nipple to my piping. Heres some pics.

Im goin to put my electronic fuel controller in his weekend, I dont have a problem with the installation into the standard ecus loom and the mounting however I was wondering what the best way to tune it would be ie drive it through each rev range until it pings and adjust accordingly. My fuel controller is by Rspec originally for an STi but is compatible with an RB25. It has nobs on it like the old profec b boost controller which you use to adjust air/fuel ratio. Any help or steps would be appreciated. Cheers

  15. Yep fitted my fake Hybrid cooler on the weekend it took me ages cos I was doing it myself but it was well worth can feel the extra power straight away and you can hear the difference. Just need to get a fuel controller cos with standard ecu car runs heaps rich and guzzles fuel. But apart from that for like $600 for the kit and no cost for labour i am very pleased.

  18. Spotted GTR80Y on Falcon St near Crows Nest, had a chat at the lights and had a bit off a run.
  19. Did you put the cooler pipes in yourself? There is usually a vacuum hose nipple on the standard cooler pipe which leeds to the wastegate which hangs of the turbo. Because you have changed this pipe you will have to find somewhere where the wastegate can read boost from, Cut your BOV vacuum hose and tee of that into the satandard t piece off the wastegate and hook it up. If this is already hooked up then your problem lies elsewhere.

G'day, I think I know what your prob is mate, When you removed the standard piping you cut into the vacuum line running of your standard intercooler pipe but prob did not plug this back into another vac line somewhere so you will have full boost, this is very very bad, dont drive it. T into your inlet manifold somewhere ie BOV so the wastegate can read some boost. This will fix your problem. Cheers

  22. G'day Just finished putting my FMIC on my R33 Gtst today and had a question as to where the best place to reconnect the vacuum hose coming out of the wastegate/standard boost solenoid. The vacuum hose I am talking about comes of the standard black intercooler piping off a factory fitting right near the boost solenoid. As my new pipes dont have this nipple/fitting I have to read boost from somewhere else. I was just gonna T into the Vacuum line coming of the BOV, but would like to know if this is the best place or is there somewhere better. Any Ideas? Cheers PS will put up full tutorial once I have completely finished.
  23. Do you stil have the standard dual stage boost solenoid in the car? If so I think one plugs into it from the wastegate actuator and one goes to the factory intercooler piping.
  24. rb25 turbo is internally wastegated.
