  1. hey guys just a question ive got a few mods done at the moment,i was just wondering who remaps standard r32 ecu's i will be gettindg an aftermarket computer round the end of the year when i have finished building a rb24 the only reason i want to remap the standard computer is that i want to be able to drive my setup as it is at the moment and need to save for other more important things like getting it engineered blusliped and registered so im just after a cheaper solution to the prob for now but i still want to make some desent horsepower till then atleast i hope you all understand what i mean ive had this car for 12 months and im getting desperate i need to drive it so bad mods are: 1..bigger turbo unknown size bigger than a T4 apparantly? only slightly i can post pics if ppl want 2..custom made high mount turbo manifold 3..externall gate with 12psi spring 4..front mount 5..3inch turbo back 6..GTR pump 7..adjustable fuel pressure reg 8..i think thats bout it in about 6 to 8 months i hope to have a RB24 in,ported polished head 3 cut oversized valves and heavy springs, cams, rb26 injectors possibly bosch ignighters and a wolf 3d ver 4 fingers crossed its a huge list but thats why i dont want a after market computer straight away i just want to drive what i have know so if anyone knows who chips or maps or whatever you do to standard R32 ECU's in between sydney and coffs harbouri live 1 hour north of Newcastle any help will be aapreciated thanks matt
  2. just an guess but id say bout 230Kw depending on boost say bout 10psi mybe 250 on 15-18psi what do you think?

  4. yeah guys thanks i just need a few i deas as to what i can do with a spare block and head i have here block needs to be bored out to be of any use other wise all its good for is a boat anchor and i dont have a boat any suggestions it seems like a waste just to throw it away????
  5. hey ppl just a few questions for you guys 1..parts needed?? gtr rods and crank, 82 mill pistons...what else? 2..what head gasket is usedand about how much? 3..i know of TOMEI pistons where do i gety them and how much? 3..what size are the standard pistons in rb20 silver top? (i need to know the diff between the 82 mm and the standard ones cuz my bores are pitted from water need to know if i will clear it with a bore? 4..is there anything i need to know bout the build like problems or mods i need to do or whatever 5..is there already a guide on the net for the 24 stroker alreadt if not there needs to be one any info i can get on this stroker kit will be great i want to get started straight away!!! please??please??please??please?? matt
  6. its been a long time between drinks at the moment i have finally driven the car ....whoo hoo but... smashed it :Oops: well not my fault it had been at the auto elects for three months forgot the bonnt latch was not on the car and yep you guessed it on the way home doing 50 after boosting only 1 min earlier the wind picked up and flipped the bonnet smashed the screen and roof well 1500 later all good again anyway engine came apart found that the head gasket was all good just recently changed head sent for check came back 100% could not be better so must be the bottom end pulled the rest of engine out of car pulled bottom end apart hping all i needed was a set of rings nope looks like that when the previuos owner did the head gasket they left it to late water had pitted the bores thats why i was losing compression and had a broken ring in three so a new bolt in replacement is being sourced at the moment matt
  7. all turbos have some sort of play this play dissapears when the turbo is full of oil ie.... the shaft sorta floats on the oil although i would have someone look at the seals in case they are cooked hope this helps
  8. i had same prob but much more severe 5 cyls were at 115psi instead of 160psi and cyl #3 was at bout 55psi chacked like 6 times head came off head gasket fine bottom end looked like just rebuilt head sent off for check came back 100% looks like rings are craped
  9. ok here they are torque specks for manifold studs or torque settings whatever you want to call them are as follows 18 - 24 N-m (1.8 - 2.4kg-m, 13 - 17 ft-lb)

  14. like i said it dont have to be nissan i got these from repco M12 x 1.25 manifold studs ask them to check on the thread tester must be M12 x 1.25
  15. hey guys you dont have to go genuinne nissan just take the part of the thread that is left to any parts shop and they can match it i took just one bolt to REPCO and they had them in stock you dont need a part number im pretty sure like 99% sure that they are M10 x 1.25 head studs or manifold studs what ever you want to call them and i tried to find my torque settings but cant help there sorry
  16. hey guys i just did this the other day broke all but three of them i did not have the tools to take out the others was told that if i was taking out some i should replace all of them but some were stuck in the head and didnt brake was told i need a special tool that removes studs its not a ezi out kit but it was big and went over the stud wound it opposite direction while grabing the stud any way i tried the easy out on the others but did not want to brake the others that would not work was told to spray inox on them for the next three days and so morn and night i sprayed them and they came out so damn easy it was not funny as soon as it broke free from the head i could finger screw them out the spray makes a hell of a diff trust me

  19. thanks guys link to BW helps didnt even know they had a site thanks heaps as for lag the car has been built for the last 8 months first drive the other day and the lag was.... well.... how do u say ....BIG!!! boost hit 6 psi at 4000 didnt even make gate at 10psi and just wanted to break out the car has ****ed compression like 50 psi on cyl 3 and 115 on the rest so the head is off at tthe moment actually the day i drove it i took it off getting the head looked at the bottom end rebuilt id say a bout 2000k ago but the car has not been an the rd for at least a year and half cuz of crash i bought and fixed and took it from standard to this so looking forwrd to seeing how it really goes

  21. oh well if it only lasts that long it will do ill prob have the stupid head off again in bout 6 months anyway so ill do it with some better shit then and thanks for the info on the gate i dont have a boost controller so i guess it didnt even cross my mind thanks anyway man!

  24. hey guys just wondering if anyone knows what size this turbo is i have no idea i know it shares the same flange as a t3 but the front apparantley is bigger than t4??? but i dont know here are some pics any info would be great thanks guys
  25. also what is the usual cost of a full rebuild i can get forged pistons for bout 800 dont know if that includes rings what else do i need and approx cost me and a mech friend can assemble but what are the usuall costs of what ever else i need to do?????
