  1. That was my thought also, I've read alot on R&R. Anyways I've put it back down until it gets tuned. I was told 14psi was happy for a un-tuned RB any higher and shit goes south.
  2. Let me start with this is my first RB I've owned, I'm used to XR6T's. Long story short, when I run 14psi it feels considerably less slower ( especially in 2nd gear ) then it does running 8psi or so. Anyone care to explain why? I know that it's not tuned for it but didn't think it would have such a big effect.
  3. You are on the ball! It was dropping off at a certain RPM so I changed the duty at that RPM and now it is holding through every gear equeally.
  4. Gday. I bought a R33 around 2 weeks ago, and it has a AVCR in it. Is anyone able to let me in on some settings, and/or tips for it? I cannot seem to get it to hold boost, it boosts up to 0.90, then will drop of to as low as 0.60 through the RPM range. There is no reputable tuners out here to take it to so was hoping someone had a little insight on what to do. I have watched countless videos and read countless forums post, and still can't get it right.
  5. Hi guys again What boost is safe and what can I run to happily give it a squirt? It has a boost/dty controller. Have a greedy intercooler, 800cc injectors, bosch 044 fuel pump ect. What boost can I run stock internals?
  6. Also it grinds on up changes, how exactly do you rev match on changing from 2nd to 3rd.
  7. Tacho doesn't work well, needs fixing a bit so hard to rev match, it jumps all over the place
  8. Gday everyone. New to the skyline scene, and the Forum. Recently purchased a 40th Anniversary R33 skyline GTST ( best fun yet ) and thought it would be a wise idea to give everything a clean, service ect. Got the diff, gearbox, engine oil all sorted. Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on everything to clean out in the engine bay, obviously the air filter, but is there any sensors, piping, anything I should be aware of that needs regular cleaning? Forum has been a great help so far, thanks to everyone who takes time to help others out!" Thanks, Andrew.
  9. I'm more then happy to spend the $80 to have a less grindy gearbox for the time being lol. Still gotta source a gearbox and shit yet How much smooth shift do I stick in it? And is that flash lube heavy duty stuff good enough?
  10. I already put 1 bottle of smooth shift in it, and it didn't really do much. I'm getting a 2nd box rebuilt so this one only has to last a few weeks until the other one is sorted. I was suggested put 2 smooth shifts in it, and some flash lube heavy duty oil stabilizer.
  11. Where do I get this redline stuff? Only gotta last a few weeks.
  12. Gday. Is anyone able to tell me what gearbox is in a R33 skyline, 40th Anniversary if it makes any difference. 3rd and 4th gear grinds into gear so need to find a 2nd hand gearbox but can't find one for the life of me. GTST Manual by the way. Thanks for any help, much appreciated.
