  1. i brought my r32 gtr with a chipped computer. its wqritten on the ecu its self "japan. re-mapped + injectors" and the seals have been broken. i would like 2 see what chip is in there.
  2. or ya could say have ya car dyno, just a power run as a record like of ya starting power out put etc. and as ya modify the car, more power runs all as records of what ya are acheiving with the power mods
  3. the smoke/steam/gas that ya saw comin outta the engine in 2 fast 2 furious is 2 do with the nitros system set up. a purg or pulse valve or something. i have seen it in pics of drag cars before.
  4. i wish it was all that easy for me getting the gtr rego'd ova here, what a head f**k!! no compliance plate made it even more of a head f**k. oh well its all good, afta a couple months shes rego'd here now! until it broke.

  6. based off a mates opinion of it that works at a performance palce in adelaide. dont get me wrong a killer conversion and he is trying to get me to do the same thing to my car but im not interested. rb26 all the way...who cares if it has lag problem, its the GTR way...same with the twin turbo set up
  7. vl rb30's are weaker than the rb26's...take that into account if u want massive power. have you considered a 2.8L stroker kit for it

  10. yeap thats true mate, deep pocket. specially if something major goes. unless ya take it into account and save as much as ya can possibly save. and keep a nice big slab of cash aside(of those potential problems) when modifying ya car. i have owned my r32 gtr for 8 months. and the bottom end has gone a few weeks back. now i wont have my car for atleast 6 months. i didnt take it into account. but i am chasing 350-400 4wkw's so i am after a good strong rebuild to start the process. im stayin with low mounted twins to acheive this power figure well im hoping, im still looking around at different brands and sizes.

  13. oh no...with the driving record of police, putting them behind some high powered machines, i think we will have more deaths on the roads. and that annoys me a bit. i use to like taking my car out for a nice casual cruse through the country. either from victor to yank or victor to the adelaide hills and i dont want to be picked on. for the fact im driving a potentially fast car. just cause i own it doesnt mean i drive it like it was designed for.
  14. but say my crank is f**ked, what crank could i then use to suit the n1 oil pump? say a standard r33 gtr crank? would this need a collar as well? so the standard conrods will be fine to make say 400 4wkws (530 horsies)? just using new conrod bolts. any good suggestion for pistons and rings for this kinda power rating? change the standard head bolts to new ones? or will the old 1's be ok? what thinkness metal head gaskit would suit what i am going for? as im going to buy a metal gaskit kit. cheers!
  15. i was chasing the n1 crank so that the n1 oil pump would fit...if the stock r33 gtr crank will work then it will b fine for what i want. i just want to replace the r32 one as i have been told that the arnt as good as the 1's in the newer rb26's. im still undecided on what im going to do. at the moment im just slowly gettin parts together for the rebuild
  16. its a bugga about the n1 cranks being sold out!! im now considering stroking it out to a 2.7L...but that means the car will b off the road longer. even bigger cost to rebuild!
  17. what are some good beariing to use? and what kinda price do these go for? what kinda power can i get off the stock rods before they become sketchy? also will i need to find a block restrictor for the n1 oil pump? im starting to get parts together for my build so i wll prob ask as many q's as possible as i go...cheers for the help so far!!
  18. how r ya guys, time to rebuild the rb26, went bang...well clunk clunk clunk. i have a fair idea wgat i want to do with it... n1 oil, water pumps, bearins, r33 n1 crank etc. how strong are the n1 pistons and rods? and what would the price on this stuff be? or would i b better off buying some other brands(non-nissan) 1 last thing i am chasing 350-400awkw's keeping the engine at the 2.6L capacity and with low mount turbos...is this possible. i know this will b laggy as a mother f**ker. cheers

  20. the boost restrictor in my 32gtr was removed b4 i brough my car. running 12psi and holds it really well, according to the dyno graph/ i dont think it is too hard to remove, i have a guy that worked at an import spare parts place that owned a gtr show me what to do. ya just have to find the hose it is in and squeeze behind it until it come out the end or replace the hose if u wanna keep the restrictor in the hose for any reason

  22. engine in the car or out of the car? my engine is still in the car if it doesnt matter but im from victor harbor, not sure if its any help. if ya r closer to victor than adelaide ya can have a look at mine
  23. it isnt too hard specailly if you have the workshop maunal and a tailshaft centre bearing replacement kit(inc. center bearing and mount and a new bolt and washer), the manual explains it all. how they come appart, how things go, what to grease etc.
  24. blackwood dyno tune, they are in the southish area. they do all the mechanical stuff 2
