i have an old hks 1 that came in my car that ya can turn off or use pre-set times(30secs, 1 min, 3 mins or 5 mins)...i dont use it! if i have been boosting i will just drive my car around slow and softly for a lil bit or sit in it and let it idol for a lil bit then turn it off. hey any1 kno where bout in SA(adelaide) i can get it taken out? im from victor harbor and i dont think there is any1 that can do it down here. and i havwnt heard of anywhere where i can get it taken out...oh that is for my "exemption from compliance" cheers

i was just told by my friend that they do have problems with the guage but the light is still accurate therefore if it comes on you have a problem. i havent had any problems with my oil pressure. if you want to be safe then replace the sensor which is q sensible idea...up to u mate with the wfm's why dont you replace with z32's??

with the oil pressure guage, the earlier r32 gtr's had problems with it(i own an r32 gtr myself). a guy i know has a 1990 nissan exa and the same thing occurs with that and he works at a performce workshop. all he said is if the oil pressure light acutally comes on then pull over ASAP and turn your car off!!!!!

so pritty much it will hook up to the new head unit but it wont really work(well plays cds)

dropped and checked the oil 2day...as 1 of u guys said. and checked NO metallic at all!!! check it rather thorough. i had 2 other people checking as well, 1 was a desiel mechanic. and we couldnt see any metallic at all!! thats seems like a good thing to me!!!

i found out exactly what it is now to day i took the coil cover off(when the car was runn ing normally again) what it was running and i removed a lead that connected to the 1st coil pack and walla!! started to run like shit. huff and puffing, vibrating! sitting in the car it almost sounds like a knock but out side of the car it sounds like a WRX...so i having problems with coil pack or the wirinig somewhere. very similar to the discription on a bottom end going! trick me and a few otha people. from the start the noise i discribe was a more of a muffled knocking...like wood on metal, not really metallic.

no 1 got any ideas???? or experience????

not bottom end...still a noise but made somewhere else. a bottom end is consistant, this seems not too be consistant, as when i was driving i got 60-70kms without any noise, then all of a sudden it started, pulled over and my speed dropped then it went normal for a few seconds. decided to pull over so i pulled called my friend and was thinking to myself"oh no" left it for a bit until my mate got there started it up and it had stopped, then went got a drink came back started it and the noise just started again. went up the road to friends house. check a few things. start ity again no noise...leave it for a while longer then decide to head home. started the car and it was there again, driving back it cut in and out 2 or three times(cutting back to normal) i have a good idea what it is...not goin to cost anywhere near 10k

i am quiet happy to have to replace the inturnals if i have to and to spend 10-15k on it. but i cannot afford to drive the car 100km+ to have it checked out then 100km+ back home....that would mean taking time off work. over the next couple months that i goin to b hard as the boss has to go away and ill b having to run things. the hours i work doesnt allow me anytime before of after work to take it in. im just depending on a friend that is an apprentice(he will most likely be wrong in his choice) at a performance place to give me some idea. i also need to have an exempt from compliance done for the car, so while it seems to b ok to me, im goin to tr and get it through then put it off the road manybe drop the engine and strip it

it is quiet possible that the noise i did hear was nothing to do with the bottom end as i have spoken to a mechanic. he didnt get to hear as i would have had to of driven my car 100km+ to the work shop. 1 that i have been told is that i have the wrong oil in the car and it is becoming to thin or think and cauing it to knock

could it b that last time i had a service they used the wrong oil in the car?? could the oil b thining out too much? i have been told that nissans r known to knock with the wrong oil

at the moment it seems like my enigne is running fine. it was really weird, i took the car out on sunday for the cruz just thinkin of limping it around to places but i started to boost here and there and there was no noise at all as some of the guys would have noticed, ut has really got me stumped!!!!! i took it down to put some petrol in after every1 had left and it started to make a lil noise for a moment but then stopped. so a bit confused at the moment. i dont really want to spend 5-10k pn something i dont have to.

i did a really silly thing on the weekend, i took my car out on a cruz. and i was really worried that sometihng bad would happen. the car was warm and stuff. the kinda of conditions it liked to start to knock. i ended up followiing the cruz and i was hitting boost a bit thro the day and nothing, no noise at all????? it was running fine! im really confussed now about what the problem is!

i have an r32 with the factory tape/am/fm head unit. i want to change to a new cd/md head unit. my car also have the factory cd stacker in the boot and the controls in the center consol that came in the r32's and i was just wondering am a able to change the head unit without taking out the stacker or the hand control?? cheers for the help

gday guys, now im in the same boat, i have spun a bottem end bearing. just after a bit of heap with my rebuild. now i dont really want to add a sump extension. but i was goin to put an N1 oil pump and tomei block restrictor and r33 gt-r crank and maybe N1 harmonic balancer. will this help with the oil problems? also would it be worth also putting sump and rocket cover baffles in? im chasing 300-400 4wkw's in the long run. im at 205 4wkw's so a little bit to go. willremote oil filter and oil cooler benifit me? im not after track usage, more for the 400m sprint. cheers guys

R32 GT-R R34 GT-R ball bearing turbos, 12psi boost 550cc injectors Remapped stock computer 3.5' Exhhaust HKS front pipes...with a little stupid cat Stock dumps Stock airbox Stock inturnals made 204.3 4wkw's...i will post up the dyno graph when i can get it scanned or a foto of it! i will get another dyno after i have my engine rebuilt and throw the power fc on and bump up the boost to 14-15psi!! hoping to get 230 4wkw's, atleast!! 26/4/07 had the rebuild done. made 175rwkw's on 9psi. dunno where the power went. nore the boost currently running 239.8rwkw's on 14psi. (about 321rwhp) new mods: Trust pods Haltech e11v2 Cam Gears, still set at zero at the moment. they believe i have steel wheel turbos on but not too keen to run too much boost until i am certain for my self that they are steel wheeled, then if they are im gonna throw it up to 18-19psi.
