i would luv 2 do it my self but i cannot afford the time and i dont hav the tool or equipment either. i guess im just gonna have to spend the cash

gday guys, just after some help. now i reckon my bottom end is bout 2 go (i have a topic posted up in forced induction topic). a few people have said. i put sum engine treatment stuff in there and it stopped the noise for a lil while but started again 2day. so its goin off the road til yeah until its fixed or i find out what it is. what i was after is advice for who i should take my car to for a rebuild(if it needs it) and also would ya be able to give me sum idea of what it would cost. i know its gonna b thousands. i would love to b able to do it my self but i cannot afford the time and i dont have the tools to do it!! thanks heaps for ya help!!!!!

ill be up for a cruse if my car is running ok, having sum problems with a knocking/pinging sound. i havent been on a cruse yet. so just put me as a maybe for now.

2day i had to take the car for a longish drive...very soft driven tho. the guy i wne to see bout my pads told me to try this stuff 'Nulon E20 Performance Engine Treatment' i did as the instruction said and then reved the car in neutral up to 4000rpm and it seemed that the noise had stopped...could this just be a temporary? there is still a slight vibration when i was reving it tho

is it safe to keep driving around without hitting boost?? or say wothout goin ova 3000rpm??

what kinda cost it a rebulid for a rb26? i rekon my bottom end is gone, and i was just chasing a price

i just wont be modifying my car anymore until i have found out what the noise from the engine is...and i just brought a power fc, well payed for it

mate that sounds almost exactly the same thing as is happening to me. i have newer ball bearing turbos running 12psi, stock comp(re-mapped for larger injectors and more boost), makes the noise in neutral(when the car is warm!) around the same rpm as u said and yeah when driving as the boost comes on it starts to go! but there is no sign of any problems when the boot is down. i still have the stock air box on my car...no pods just yet! i just drive it soft as to get to work and home again until i find out what the problem is! if i can find out what it is i will let ya know ok mate!!

ok well i have observed while owning and driving a r32 gtr that just normal driving the torquesplit guage sits on 0% font 100% rear, start to accelerate, wheel spin or loss of traction and the guage starts to increase. depending on the circumstance, determines the amount of torque that is split. going by what i have seen in my gtr!!

i reckon its 1 of the turbos bearing that have slipped!

i had help describing it and the best we could come up with is a small rock, gumnut or metal bearing in a tin thats being shaken. it only seems to happen then the car/turbos have heated up and when the boost is starting to clime above the 0psi mark...say 3500-4000rpm. but the noise still seams to b coming from the plenum side??????

how r ya guys, 2day i was driving my gtr and i noticed a noise. when the car was under load(seeing boost) and when the car is warm. i thought it was a slower clunking noise, i listened again and it was more of a quicker tinging/klacking noise. i have ball bearing turbos on it but the noise is actually coming from the other side of the engine(under the plenum)....can any1 plz help me!!

sorry it was just ova 9000rpm

i was talking to a guy that had done all his internals and stuff, he didnt see boost til 6000rpm through to 9000rpm which is where his rev limiter was, but that was rebuilt. if ya wanna increase the rev limiter u should/need to upgrade the fuel system, oil and water pumps and yeah stronger inturnals

not sure mate my rb26 has 550cc injectors and it makes a similar noise to what u r discribing and fairly loud to, also a slight noise from the lifters in my car but can hardly hear it ova the injector noise

unfortunateley i think i may need an engine rebuilt before i replace my seat/s! see what happens with the car then ill get bak to yabout the seat/s...cheers for the help so far

mmm, unfortunateley i might have to have my engine rebuilt i took it out for a drive today to go and order new brake pads and i noticed sum noise coming from the engine area...like a clunking. took it for a drive again a bit later and then there was like a tinging. both around the point of boost...can sumone help!!!

yeah, wont b fitting it straight away...gotta go thro a exempt from compliance soonish.

how r ya all, im looking for an r32 gtr drivers seat or say a set of r33 gtr seat(if they will fit into the r32, as im not too sure! cheers guys. im in S.A, 80km's outta adelaide

yeah ur right mate...slippin or g-force i reckon causes the front diff to engage. when i boost the torque guage goes up, when i got ova a bump i guess sencing lose of traction and yeah in the wet
