yeah got no complance plate under the bonnet. apparenty it wasnt fitted(the car came in under the 15yo rule) i have the engineers certificate and import approval. and some peice of paper that i had to sign (buyer and seller thing) when i got the car.

how ya going guys, i was just wondering if anyone on here has had to have their car exempt from compliance? and if ya have or know anyone that has do you have any advice? helpful tip/hints to help me get through. cheersguys and thanks for the help!!

ill be having a look at the cars on the friday when they come to victor harbor for lunch. only quickly tho, ill be on luch at work and wont be able to hang around

i know if the v-spec and v-spec2 are fully original they come with different mags from factory. thats the only other difference i know off the top of my head but i reckon there are a few more

only 6 ceffys?? theres 2 in victor harbor i know of, there was also anotha 1 down here that was written off down here recently, so thats 3 just on the south coast. and i know of another 2 ceffys. thats 5 that i know. i have seen more around adelaide when i have been up there crusing round.

has anyone have to have an exempt from complance plate(road worthy check) done?? what kinda stuff will they check? i have a few bushes that needs replacing? will they be harsh on that kinda stuff? a 1-2 oil soked seals. 1 ripped boot on my steerinig rack? is any of that stuff a major thing to get thro a road worthy?? whats the best thing to do with th turbo timer? should i hide it in the dash some how or have it taken out?

saw a nice 32gtr in victor last night(monday) parked in the main street, nice big front mount on it too!!

yeap i got the vic plates on my car. wanna get them off but i have to wait for a road worthy/complance exemption, as there isnt a plate on it. so i guess i got them for a bit longer

just wondering if anyone knew if there is a difference in steering rack for the 32 gts-t and the gt-r. i have been told i need to replace mine. and paying double for something that is ideanical but with gt-r written on the tag isnt something i really want to do also cradle bushes, the mechanic i went to said that ya couldnt get cradle bushes for 32gt-r's and i would have to replace the whole cradle. cheers

i have just brought a 32gtr from inter-state. i have to go for a road worthy i just found out 2day, the guy i rang was a fair f**k head about it all. oh well i think the only thing i have on me car that is "illeagel" is the turbo timer. otherwise, i have exhaust(pretty quiet), stock comp(re-mapped), larger injectors and and r34 turbos(i think they are the same as the stock 32gtr but ball bearing). should that stuff be ok??

no compliance plate according to DOTARS 15yo imports didnt get issued with them, only import approval and engineers certificat and i intend to fight this matter. im not F**KING around and wasting my time and money just cause some dumb person is to lazy and ignorante to call DOTARS and ask about the 15yo rule. i have all the paper work...engineers certificate and import approval. everything i need so why should i let them push me around when there are SA rego'd cars without complance plates!!! double standards i say!!!

dam, some nice cars out there guys!! heres mine. i got the plates blocked out cause it stillhad the victorian plates on it. some of u guys might have seen me driving round on sunday of the october long weekend. i know its a stocker!! oh well im happy

im actually having a bit of trouble transfering the rego over, as the car come into australia under the 15yo rule there was no plate given. and the cop told me that he wouldnt finish the identity check and said i would have to go to regancy for an "exempt for complance" plate. but this was a cop from a country police station(clueless)

im not sure if they are T03's i got them on the car. i also have been told that they are basicly t28bb's with a smaller exhaust housing.

yeah i got my baby now, just wanna get it checked ova, how strong is the drive train in the 32 GTR?? i wanna have it looked ova by some1 that knows their GTR's. there r 2-3 oil seals that needs to be changed

it is an irregular idol that the car has, i have been told that a vacum line amy be blocked or need replacing

ok guys i may just go to a performance place. and see if they have nay laying around or see if they can help. just that there are 2 many different opinions here! but cheers for the help anyways!

i just brought a 32gtr, not sure if the tanks are the same size, i would guess they would be. i think they are around 70L-80L tanks. it cost me $75 to fill just ova 3/4 of the tank(with a petrol price of $1.40)

well looks like ill b investing in some n1 or some other type of turbos with a steel wheel if they dont.

how r ya guys, i have just brought an r32 GTR that has r34 gtr bb turbos on it. i was just wanting to know if these particular turbos are ceramic or not!! what kinda boost would i be able to run these turbos at?

i just brought an 89 32 GTR, and there are a couple things im kinda a lil unsure of so i thought i would list them there and see if any1 can help me out. 1. when the car is just idoling it jumps around. like it jumps from say 950-1050. 2. there is like a noise comming from the gear box, sounds like it is coming from where the gear stick is(underneath where the lether boot is). it sounds like something spinning and its mostly noticable when in lower gears and doing lower speeds. 3. the speedo is a bit jumpy when just crusing along at a slower speed. 4. there is a small clunking noise coming from the front when i back off on the accelerator. but there are worn upper control arm bushes. hope there isnt anything to major there! and cheers for the help guys! oh yeah can some one tell me some of the common faults with this model, i know they have them but im unsure of what they are. cheers guys!!!
