  1. coils are around 35g km's old and are split fires. i will check them but iv been told they should be fine. but ill still check of tracking marks etc... the car was off the road, 1, i lost my license 2, i blew a stock intercooler hose and was waiting for replacement and 3, the clutch was starting to slip once it had warmed up so i wasnt using it. No mods or anything
  2. I know this could be 1 of 1000 things. but i was wondering if someone could point me in the right directions as to sort this issue! Basically, the car has not really been driven for a long time. Finally iv got the car back on the road. changed plugs and oil and filter. Took it for a drive and it was running fine. Til i started to roll on the boost, it was as if it was ignition cutting(like on the rev limiter would. just my description of the issue)and when i backed off it started to back fire big, i guess burning the unburnt fuel. im gonna start with the igniter module, check a few sensors and the grounding. i was told it may possible be a dud injector leaking internally into the rail then into that cylinder once backed off??? i didnt really understand the description properly that i was given on this any help would be greatly appreciated!! cheers guys
  3. na, ithe engine is all together! cause i brought these turbos few months after the rebuild cause i wasnt sure my goals at the time!!
  4. and would stagering them help at all if so what would be the recommended 2 cams??
  5. oh yes, also how much lift can i increase before i have to do what ever else to the head. if the lift is increased, what else has to be changed?? springs, lifters, guides, retainers, valves??????
  6. sorry guys! yeah i meant to say gt2835 52t x2! i think they are a little larger than the hks gt-rs'?? engine has been built, althought its 20thou over i think it adds lik an extra .03lt so still a 2.6lt! would be looking at something real mid range for these turbos?!
  7. just wondering what duration cams would b the best to use with these particular turbos? HKS GT2835 Compressor: Wheel trim - 52T Inducer Diameter (mm) - 51.2 Exducer Diameter (mm) - 71 Turbine: Wheel Trim - GT28 Exducer Diameter (mm) - 51.8 Inducer Diameter (mm) - 56.5 i was thinking atound the 260 - 270 degree area. any help would be appreciated! cheers
  8. thats an awesome stretch of road. i know the mt alma stretch very very well!! when my gtr was on the road we use to go for the run fairly regularly! considering its like 10-15 mins from where i live :-D

  10. are the -10 direct bolt on?? the look fairly different to the stock turbos and the -7 and -5's after being defected i have deciuded to use bolt on turbos rather than a single conversion. i was interested in getting a set of gtrs' but the exchange rate is making them very expensive so i was looking into the garrett option!

Hi guys, (question relating to rb26 bolt on turbos) I was just wondering if there was a difference between the gt2560's(-7,-5,-10) and the gt2860's(-7,-5,-10)? or are they the same turbo/s? if they are different, which of the 2 are closest to the HKS GTRS's? it would be the gt2860's as they are t28 based?? i just wanted to know as i didnt realise there were a gt2560 range but a mate of mine insists he has a pair of gt2560-5's. i was alway under the imporssion there were only gt2860's as i was looking at a set of gt2860-5 if they were direct bolt on! thanks for any help

  13. i have these on my car atm they are ceramic!. i have also heard that these will handle ~16psi where as the 32 and 33 turbos 1 bar(14.5??) can anyone confirm? but dont go and turn ur boost up and come complaining to me if they do explode. i am going to try it when i change the clutch over
  14. hey mate, what year r32 was it? do u have much of the interior left??? after some interior parts if its a later model r32 cheers

  16. I ended up getting defected yesterday morning going through strath. it was only for tyes. As i am borrowing them from a mate while i get my current wheels re-rolled and new tyres for them(costing me enough as it is). i was driving my car i didnt realise the tread was so low. but thats my bad. anyways, i only wat to place 2nd hand tyres on these as they arnt my wheels and my friend doesnt use them nor does he was to pitch in cash for tyres for them?!?! basicly i just want to know will they pass me on 2nd hand tyres if they are above the wear limits?? cheers
  17. was talking to a friend of mine friday night who is currently training to become a police officer. he told me he went out on his first placement last week and apparently they were pulling over all imported nissan's, toyota's etc. basicly he said if it was an import it was a target. i think this is totally unfair
  18. i got done for tyres. all 4 had worn the inside edge out unknowingly!?!?! plus they were borrowed tyres while mine get re-rolled. the cops were at strath this morning(big set up like 5-10 bikes, had a r33 pulled over on the opposite side and were pulling everyone over inc bikes). they were good, open and honest. not attitude at all. told me things to make sure i check before i in for my inspection. 4 years and first actual run in with them.

  23. good idea. i will b in sydney in a couple weeks so i will have to make a stop off at a few of their premier workshops with free time i will have.
