  1. Thanks Predator... Was kinda getting excited for a second 'cos I thought someone had figured out an easy way to open them up! I'll give it a go anyway!
  2. Hey guys. How easy was it to acutally take off your headlight covers? Just a couple of screws or is it a clip-on job? Thanks.
  3. Yep. Exactly mate. Those prices have my heart plummet... Hmm... Does anyone know how to take the dash off and get to the heater core??? ....Please....... Thanks.
  4. Hi, Anybody any good radiator places? Particularly around Chadstone area. I'm trying to get my heater coil fixed and apparently it's a bit of a nightmare job, so I'm wondering if anyone knows anywhere good that's done similar jobs on R33's or the like. If not, I'm just going to have to roll the dice with some yellow-pages mob... Any help would be great. Thanks.
  5. Ron 15-h, Umm...I'm kinda in Melbourne so do you know anyone down here that can help me out??
  6. G'day, Hoping someone can help me with my heating coil (ie. for the heating/air-conditioning unit). It started leaking on the weekend and today my mechanic managed to fix it temporarily by bypassing it altogether. My question is: does anyone where I can get a replacement heating coil for my R33? Know the part number? Anyone even know roughly how much one should be? But, perhaps most importantly, does anyone know how to put it in??????? :elaugh: I'll give up a slab if anyone can help me put in...once I manage to get hold of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  7. INASNT, Has this been sold yet??
  8. Spent the last damn hour scouring around and have managed to find the exact colour code for a burgundy R33 Skyline as AN0. Any Skyline's colour can be sourced from the original engine plate using info from this link: http://www.courtesyparts.com/paint/touchup_howto.html Anyway, now just trying to find someone outside of Japan with AN0. It seems as though everyone (...well in Aust., that is...!) only has AL0 (Ruby Pearl). It looks close, but I don't think it's exactly the same. Anyway, just thought someone else might find this useful.
  9. Bummer... I guess I'll just have to find something that looks similar... The nicks are only the bottom of the rear bumper anyway. Thanks.
  10. On the way back from Sorrento, my R33 picked up a few paint chips - I think especially on some of those dodgy-kind-of-sealed roads... Anyway, I'm just after a reasonably quick-fix so does anyone know the paint colour code of the standard burgundy for an R33? 'Cos when I went into AutoBahn, the colour code book didn't have it... I'm just looking to get a touch-up pen to fix the small chips...unless someone can suggest a better way...! Thanks.
  11. Where about's can you get powder coating done? Can you do it yourself?
  12. Is it just me, or does everyone's paint on the wiper blades (both the front and the back, but much more predominantly on the back) faded away?? I've only had my '93 R33 for almost a month now, but ever since I've had it the wiper blades' black paint has bloody almost all come off... Does anyone know if it's just a simple home-job respray to fix it, or if something more complicated (and expensive... ) is required for a good finish? Thanks.
  13. Can anyone tell me what gearbox fluid specifications I need for my 1993 R33 GTS-t? Any help would be great. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the quick replies. raist60: The problem only happens on light to medium acceleration. It otherwise idles beautifully. It also only happens randomly, always between 2000-2500 rpm. It just kind of "hiccups", if you know what I mean. GTS-t VSPEC: I don't have an aftermarket computer. I also didn't the car from a yard, so it looks like I'm on my own for this one. In terms of dyno-testing, how much does it usually cost? Thanks guys.

  16. Hi, I'm reasonably new at all of this under the bonnet stuff and, not meaning to sound too stupid, was wondering if someone could help me with what I think is a mis-firing problem. Sometimes, at around 2000-2500 rpm my R33 seems to momentarily splutter a little and then continue ok. It happens both accelerating and decelerating. Is this symptom of a misfire? If it is, what is the step-by-step process to check and (if needs be) replace my spark plugs? I've searched "misfire" and "spark plugs" on the forum but there's no step-by-step process for novices like me. Or can my problem be a symptom of something else? My 1993 R33 is basically stock. Just a 3.5" exhaust from the cat out. I've only had it for 3 weeks and it's done 88000 kms so I had the timing belt, all other belts and water pump done. I don't know if the plugs have been replaced so that's what's got me think about them as the source of my problem. I can't remember if I had the problem before the work was done because I was too busy giving it a bit of heavy right-foot work. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  17. Thanks for the reply. Is it expensive to replace the actuator?
  18. Just as a side issue (Sorry, I don't have an answer for your problem...) But I have a similar problem, in that when I start my R33 the climate control kind of clicks 7 or 8 times before settling down. It happens everytime I start the car and only sometimes when I adjust the airflow. Does anyone know if YO880 and I have the same problem? Thanks.
  19. Thanks for the reply, but my head unit doesn't have an 'ADJ' button. On the Clarion site, it says to hold the BAND and DISPLAY buttons together to get into time setting mode, but it just doesn't work. Thanks very much for your reply though. Very appreciated.
  20. G'day, Sorry to be a pain, but does anyone know how to set the clock on an Addzest ADX5455 CD player? I've checked out the Clarion website (the associated company of Addzest) for a manual, but their instructions for similiar units don't work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
