Brand New Quality Adj. Rear Toe Rods
bazr33 replied to bazr33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
just the one set Bought them, and never got around to fitting them, as i was going to get into drifting. But yeah never happened. Might be more looking at a hard street car/drags now, as recently bought gt3540 turbo. And slowly going to build a rb30 bottom end. -
Brand new top quality adjustable rear toe rods for Nissan Silvia S13-S14-S15, Nissan Skyline R32 R33 R34, also fits 300ZX (300ZX/Z32 with HICAS disabled or NA only) & A31. Adjustable toe rods allow you to adjust rear toe +/- with ease allowing greater tyre contact patch during cornering, also very helpful for clearing guards with big wheels, and of course correcting toe issues and properly aligning wheels, especially on lowered vehicles... also these toe rods eliminate the flex associated with rubber bushings allowing a tighter suspension feel and increased grip and suspension performance, Ideally these are used in conjunction with adjustable rear upper control arms and adjustable traction rods, proper alignment should be done by a qualified professional... all chrome moly construction, teflon lined FORGED rosejoint/spherical bearings with 9,000lb static load limit, these also have spring loaded grease nipples. If you were to purchase these from SPL Parts in the USA you would get very little change from $400 including freight if any change. Please check for yourself www.splparts.com These toe rods are superior quality, most are Chinese made and of questionable quality... some even claim their products are Japanese made and good quality but they're NOT, they are cheap rosejoints that will pound out in no time flat and not even the grade of steel they claim... I would not fit these cheap Chinese made components to my car! Don't compromise your safety. If any pics required just ask $300

Hi Im in Brisbane Just seeing if there was anyone that would be interested in the ceramic coated split dump pipe for there car r33 GTST I remember having the standard dump on my car, and as soon as i did install this i noticed a definate improvement. Lifted the huge restriction from the standard pipe and gained approx 50rwhp with the better airflow. bolts straight up to your standard turbo and to your cat. The split dump was bought for 681 from APC, (Have the Receipt to prove it.) 500 bucks

There we go, thanks heaps LTHLRB, you have been pretty helpful I already have the 1.5mm metal head gasket, so thats one thing out of the way Tomei cams will be next. So now i know what parts to save for. But hopefully it will be a while before my engine gives way. And i do know a awesome tuner that will be able to look after it when the time comes.
-
your right i dont know what is involved with or have experience with engine rebuilds Thats what i was trying to find out, as when i said how much would it cost to fit rods and the pistons? Maybe i made it sound a bit broad, should of put etc. on the end. obviously i dont know specifically else would be needed with these upgrades to make this rebuild possible. Maybe someone that has been their, done that could read this thread and tell me what exact parts they have used and how much it has costed them. I have done minimal research into rebuilds, but was trying to stay away from it. But if the situation occurs when/if my engine blows up. Then i know i will be looking at 10 grand plus. As for an unsuitable turbo, yes maybe but from what i have heard and read, it sounds good too me.

i was going with this turbo as its rated at around 700hp, and if later on i decide to put more boost through it and go past 350rwkw then it will handle it. I didnt want a turbo like a hiflow or something a little bit bigger and run it on its max effiency everywhere i went. (even though i'll only be pushin minimal boost on the street half of the time) I'll see how i go with the stock internals for now, but i will buy upgraded internal parts as i go. and if it does blow or dont like it, or decide to run more boost, i'll be right. originally i was looking at the 3071, but i have noticed a couple of ppl only seeing 240rwkw- 270rwkw, i dont know if it was the setup they had or what. But looking at the amount of ppl with the gt3540 and they are seein 300rwkw plus, i was like ahhhh yes. Yes lag will be an issue but i will deal with it. And the other good point is that they are cheap. Also the fact that the 3071r and 3076 were going to cost me around 2500 to get it on my car (oil lines, dump?? etc) which i was prepared to spend. But now with the extra grand i can get other parts to help make the car reliable and last... kinda.!

well i bought this turbo for 1500 came with custom split dump to cat, with exhaust manifold and oil line. you can get them cheaper but couldnt be bothered looking around anymore. So yeah mods that i'll do is Nismo rb26 rods if they fit. Either CP Pistons or ACL Pistons. I'll look into rb26 crank, but i have heard that they either dont fit or have to change something else to fit it. Port and polish head with poncams and valve springs. and yeah definately get oil restrictors for the head. So yeah looks like its going to be a bit costly but yeah im in no hurry to do this, so i'll get stuff one by one.
-
kool, thanks for all the advice, and now knowing what im going to do. Now last questions is for the ppl who have had pistons/rods upgraded, how much was it to have these put into the engine???
-
sounds like i might have to go for the rods and pistons option. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get these fitted???? i already have bought a 1.5mm metal layered tomei head gasket. Does anyone know if the nismo rb26rods fit into a rb25??? Yeah might have to speak to Brad about the pistons and rods. Thanks
-
What would be the cheapest way to strengthen the bottom end and be reliable for my setup would gtr rods, Forged pistons do the trick?? i was tryin to stay clear from opening up the engine but hey, if i want the power and dont want it to blow up then i have to do it. im more worried about how much it will cost to get someone to do it. any suggestions and what parts to get will be good. thanks

you wouldnt happen to know what the snout size of the turbo is on a 0.50 ar compressor cover. Havent got the turbo yet, waiting for it in the post and want to buy all the silicon hoses and shit for it.

well, pretty much i was looking at as much as i can get without affecting reliability too much. is it a big job converting the bottom end with the 3L, cause i know ya can pick them up cheap as chips, but just fitment and etc. might looking into it later on. but back to the power question if i get 300-350rwkw i'll be happy, but making sure its done safely. if thats possible. what i will do is see if i like the way it goes firstly, if i dont like it i will speak to ATS and get the smaller housing. if then i still dont like it, or get bored, i will look into swapping the bottom end with the 3L. Any more info is much appreciated, should be on the road before june. Thanks

anyway as it has been cleared up there that XR6T have a 1.06 rear housing. would there be any other mods to look into to help with lag, and car being more streetable. also in previous post what boost to put through the turbo?????
