hi guys just concerning wheel scratches that i would like to get fixed up all scratches are on the outer edge, ( scraped the gutter) they are a 19" wheel shadow chrome wheel Any help is appreciated and im situated in brisbane Thanks

well on matty sprys dyno it had a recording of 300rwhp on 15psi i think so fairly close to mine, but it wasnt on his car for long as he put a gt3540 turbo on his car. speaking to turbo australia was going to be last resort after fiddling around with harder springs for bov. but after looking at recent posts, it could possibly be goin to first or 2nd option. Only problem though, is the hiflow job was done by the company before they were known as turbo australia, forget what they were called. So having documents of the specs will be hopeless to find. thanks for the info guys really appreicated, should be pretty much spot on with fixing this crap.

what you have said makes alot of sense discopotato03 as when i ran the turbo at 12psi it wasnt really doing it, not pushing enough air for it to hesitate. 18psi just makes it goes nuts, depending on how much changing the compressor wheel is and mucking round, might be better off buying a whole new turbo. Even though 12psi didnt make it hesitate, i wasnt happy with the power it was making so will be pointless going back to it. i'll let yas know what happens

Thats the turbo, im not sure of teh specs of the wheels used, i bought the turbo off a mate i will ask to see if he would know what size the wheels were turbo australia did clean the wheels and rebalanced them so hopefully they remember me and could tell but i was thinking they would of seen then if it was a missmatch of wheel size for the r33 turbo etc. Only problem i have is, it never did it at 12psi with my standard airbox still on. i probably did say that earlier in the post but yeah not sure. Yet when it wasnt doin it, i still had standard injectors, time it did start doing this, was when i upgraded to metal induction pipe, z32afm, 555inj's and fuel reg. and set on 18psi.

rb20/30det vl Have you put a new turbo on from that rb20 hiflow if so has it stopped the surging??

sounds like some great results happening, and the guy upstairs seems to be on your side at the moment haha!! sorry if i havent seen a thread before or just didnt see it, but what turbo are you using on your setup. I have roughly the same power, maybe a bit less with actuator and hesitation problems making 320rwhp on 15psi. im in the process of gettin another turbo (gt3040) looking into cams, and suspension gear. also have 19's arriving soon, so hopefully will look the part. Anyway im glad that everything is going well, and cant wait to see it on the track.

I have a hiflow turbo currently on my r33 gtst wouldnt mind upgrading and having a little bit more of a kick. turbo that i think would be ideal size would be like a hks gtrs turbo, gt3040, gt3540. the gt3540, might be getting to the limit on size for what i want. but anyway if you have a turbo kit that ya would like to get rid of let us know. hey the procedure of the ruling is this your caught for drink driving, police give you a suspension notice for 24hours (aslong as its not a high blood alocohol concentration level) If it is a high level, you will be suspended up until court date. you can apply to have you licence up until court, if your suffering from severe hardship, and qld transport will give you a replacement licence with the X4 condition, When comes time to court, depending on if you need your licence for work, and suffering severe hardship work, they will either issue you with a work licence for a period of time and qld transport will reissue you with a provisional licence( which you hold for 12 months, then goes back to an open licence after that) and with the X1 condition. X1 condition is you have to obide by the letter given to you by the courthouse regarding the work licence and when you can drive etc. You can apply to have the X1 condition removed when the restricted licence is finished, and qld transport will take another happy snap free of charge. If you cant apply for a work licence, then your just disqualified for a period of time, and just go back to qld transport to have your licence reissued once its finished. You will still go back to a provisional licence for 12 months. If you are already on a provisional licence when your caught for DUI, the time remaining for when you go to an open gets extended obviously from the time you were disqualified for.

i also have notice that i had my bov connected too two sources one: is my boost controller two: the vaccum line off the plenum i have been speaking to turbosmart, and they have said that this could be the problem. so im going to change my setup i have and just have the bov connected to the vaccum line only. then the boost controller solenoid to the vaccum line in between the FPR and Plenum. The hesitation im getting could possibly be the interference of two sources connected to the bov will let ya know how it goes.

I have my car back from my tuner everything else is awesome on my car and thanks heaps to my tuner a/f ratios are at 12, the rb20 adjustable actuator i put on my car, cause i thought it might of caused the problem didn't help. My tuner ended up fabricating a replacement adjustable rod, as the original was rusted out and couldn't be turned. from looking at it, we think its the bov, either lost tension and is bouncing, forcing air into my intake pipe, inturn dumpin fuel into my engine, bringing the a/f to 10. The bov as been wound right to hard, to stop the bouncing and has seemed to hold up, as i have the car back and hasn't done it. Turbosmart also believe running another tee into the other intake runner could possibly dampen the pulsation, suckin excess air from the bov. Anyway i thank my tuner heaps, has looked after my car, and has contacted me whenever news arised about the tune, or anything to do with the car. Will not hesitate to take the car back to him, if anything happens, or for future mods.

The only other thing is when i installed the turbo i still had stock injectors and afm, turbo was sitting on 12psi with my standard airbox. i didn't witness compressor surge at all, then when i installed pod, 550inj, fuel reg, and z32 afm and put it to 18psi, thats the only time it started doing it. I even dropped boost back to 12psi and still does it. Anyway, i have sent a email regarding whats goin on to the turbo mob and i'll see what they say.

i will get the specs as soon as i get the car back from my tuner. thanks

so best option is to speak with where i got it rebalanced and cleaned and i might be up to buy another compressor wheel? might of been a poorly hiflow

what boost can the r33 hiflow handle? is 18psi too much for it? The standard bov does leak to start with doesnt it? would it be worth removing the bov altogether and see what it does?

Turbo was hiflowed through turbo australia. plain bearing, steel wheel, 270 thrust bearing. power fc, z32 afm, 550inj, fuel reg, walbro fuel pump, FMIC, AVCR. set on 18psi i noticed compressor surge on about 5 psi on the highway. have tried changing from my turbosmart bov to a standard one, no difference. have an adjustable actuator, what can i do to fix this annoying surge. who should i speak to?

is it just the standard actuator on it ? what spring rate is it?

yeah same kit as performance wise but cooler is andoised blue i dont have any pics of it yet. someone is having a look at it today, so see what happens
