  1. sad to say but i have converted to a manual transmission in july . i have also just recently put in a power fc , highflow cat and in the process of highflowing a stock turbo with MTQ . soon as i put the manual transmission i had it dynoed , and was set on 8 psi, had 170.1rwkw and managed a 14.3 put power fc in tuned and is now on 10 psi , has now 187.6rwkw will be good to see how it goes. thanks for all ya comments much appreciated Barret

  3. it wouldnt think it would be the 3 inch dump i have a split dump 3" with a stock turbo , on 10 psi doin 187rwkw obviously your tuner, has tuned ya power fc to all your mods. Have you done compression tests? with the AFM your not really far off 225rwkw, and if your goin to get a bigger turbo, you will have to consider it . Pretty much all i can see is you have all the supportin mods just need a bigger turbo Would think something like a gt30, or something in the gt3* range or even a gt2835r Also another thing i would consider later on is cams, if you havent already done that. make it a bit more reliable and safe.
  4. do you have a hard and soft setting on the blow off valve? if it is, let it idle and give it a blip, if it goes back to normal idle speed i wouldnt worry about it if it goes below normal idle speed, ya keep turnin it hard till it stops . it wouldnt hurt gettin someone to have a look at it too , just so you know for sure theres nuthin sus about it.   5. well when ya have a look at it ya have a worked engine, with a piss fart turbo hangin off the side havin the turbo spoolin up and hitting full boost that early looks to me the engine is goin way harder then what the turbo is producing. and cant keep up . Your engine at the state you have it now, would be capable of makin 300rwkw ( from what i hear) and have a 350hp rated turbo on the side at 18psi. Would you believe the exhaust would be so restrictive? is it a stock exhaust , is it a 3 inch dump ? do you have a different AFM? let us know what the problem is, if i encounter it later on. Hey man i was headin in your direction aswell, but not as yet, as i have alot of saving to do I would be looking into the gt3040, gt3071r, gt3540 supporting mods would include fuel pump upgrade on your clutch thinking about brakes injectors cams upgrade AFM Do you have a boost controller, exhaust, cause with your upgrade on turbo you will be changing you dump to suit the turbo are you wanting to keep the turbo on standard manifold if you are you will need internal wastegate. External wastegated turbo be easier in buyin a low mounted manifold with wastegate pipe on it already. How much power do you have at the moment? Some things to think about , just things i have found out along the way. I have, power fc just installed and tune yesterday with 3"1/2 exhaust, split dump pipe, AVCR, FMIC and converted gearbox to manual. has 187.6rwkw on 10psi. im looking at fuel pump, regulator and injectors next , then last turbo. tehn i'll be gettin into cams.   7. guys back again just got my install and tune of power fc car is currently on 11 psi near enough with 187.6rwkw power curve is real nice havent been able to give it a good go around due to being wet but next test and tune i'll be out there to see what time i can rack up hopefully gettin into the 13's let yas know how it goes Barret

Hey guys chasing a front bar for my r33 series one just want one , that shows my intercooler i have the m spec but has that middle bar goin straight infront of my intercooler i know it protects my intercooler from stone chips and stuff but just want to have it showing cause it has a trust sticker on teh intercooler and think it would look alright dont care what colour , just want it too fit as i will paint it later . but if ya have one thats maroon, it would be a bonus Please pm me if ya have one or know of one.   17. yeah i might have to check what they did cause i remember apc sayin that they could tweak the standard ecu abit could of been something else though, who knows whateva they did, they could of done a betta job. let yas know what happens thanks for the replies
  18. what i was sayin was car completely stock ran a 16.1 the next lot of upgrades was FMIC 10psi AVCR 166.9rwkw CES front dump pipe 15.2 then next lot of upgrades Manual conversion highflow cat tuned at fist 170.1rwkw ( clutch slippin, was told by fist could of gone more ) back to 8psi 14.3 first tune was at mercury motorsport , didnt tune my car ! 2nd was at apc, which they apperantly tweaked the ecu abit and did a poor job on my intercooler piping 3rd was at fist, which involved change timing, changed boost, as it was all over the shop , first run on the dyno tune b4 they touched the car was only doin 116rwkw. once they tuned the standard ECU and changed timing and boost it did 170.1 didnt mention that i had a programmable ecu because i dont have one ! standard . And where is WSID, im in QLD i go to Willowbank raceway thats if WSID stands for it .

AGAIN!!!! power fc install 19th october Will see if i can put it back to 10psi reason why it was put back to 8 was, it wasnt makin anymore power at 10 all times recorded were done on street tyres on 40psi next time i go down after install of power fc will drop pressure of tyres to 25 Just gathering ppls thoughts to, what times would i be lookin at when i get the power fc installed? let yas know when i get it in and go down the track .   20. hey how you going? just recently bought one of these bovs on the weekend with it i got the adapter kit to suit my r33 gtst just with other ppls installs , if anyone out there has one of these bov's ( havent put it on yet) but by looking at the bov, im assuming its goin to hit, or lean against the pipe that goes from the plenum to the crossover pipe. i know one way around it is to position the bov somewhere else, or get another adapter kit with a 90 degree bend, but as i have bought the adapter kit just seein if there is another way , or what ppl have done. In not having the pipe lean against the bov, inturn rest also against the rocker cover. Any help would be good THanks

Item: R33 GTST Autobox Location:Brisbane/Ipswich Item Condition:Sensational, purchased car at 107,000k, taken autobox out 120,000k and put manual gearbox in June 02/07/2005 Reason for Selling: Was originally going to keep gearbox and put in quickshift , but as some members know, power fc's dont work well with the autobox. Could of been ways around it, but couldn't of been bothered mucking around and taking the risk of it not working out as i want it . Price and Payment Conditions: $400 , negiotable on price wanting to get rid of it as takin up space and, might aswell sell it too someone who needs one. Extra Info: No problems at all, changes were always smooth as . and great condition as i didn't have it in the car for that long since i bought the car and im the 2nd owner in Australia.   23. i got a 3" highflow cat put in also got my end muffler replaced with a new one and taken out the second muffler, and i have that smell aswell, occasionally its not all the time but it does stink pretty bad , and i always thought it was the fuel but must be the highflow and fuel . But anyway wouldnt worry about it, just buy some air fresheners
  24. im gettin my power fc installed at F.I.S.T at Wacol they did a good job of tuning my car previously cause my boost and timing was all outta whack . I have been to apc with my intercooler avcr and dump pipe install and had my intercooler piping resting against my radiater hose and few nuts and bolts were missing . so werent really impressed with them especially forking out 2500 for it! got exotic exhaust to fix up the shit with the piping, did a great job. So at the moment only going to fist, exotic exhaust to fit stuff THanks
