dyno and clutch slippage
bazr33 replied to bazr33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
trying what bhdave said today see if i can move it just the thing is that theres abosolutley no free travel and the clutch is harder then usual to push in , so i dont know if im goin to be able to push the piston back . give it ago though and i dont know how to post the dyno graph up -
yep let it ride man, have some more time to sort out the funds i have . cause i have shit everywhere.

Hey guys got my car dynoed at F.I.S.T today my dad took it in cause due to work, so i didnt get to speak with them the dyno graphs b4 the car was tuned, was suprsing only did 116rwkw all the shit was all over the joint. thats how badly APC tuned the car, car was tuned, timing adjusted and boost changed to 8 psi if want some pics of the dyno graphs ya can email me. [email protected] after 2 and half hours, and also findin a big leak or somethin on the standard blow off valve and sortin out everything it was dynoed at 170.1rwkw, on 8psi, smooth as power line. on that dyno the clutch was slipping at top end so still could of got more. i just got my car converted to manual, but have had issues with clutch slipping. my theory is that it wasnt bled properly and could still be air in the system . as its been adjusted 3 times as the clutch has been engaging at each end of the clutch pedal and there has been heaps of free travel, then goes back to none at all. and been adjusted each time. Getting real sick of the shit cause havent even got a chance to get a good run in the car. the gearbox is in good condition, no crunchin on gears at all, when the pedal has been adjusted , every is real smooth and awesome to drive but then a couple of days later it adjusts itself and theres either no free travel or heaps, and engagin at one of the ends of teh pedal. Brand new clutch ( heavy duty) and has a 200b slave cylinder, as being told they are the same as a skyline one. Anyway happy how it idles and runs jsut the clutch at the moment. and was happy with the dyno even though the clutch did slip on the dyno. Hopefully when i get all teh shit sorted i'll take it down the quarter .

the problem is back again, its happened another time after my last post and was adjusted again, but now its back the other time was it was not even engagin and was right on the floor heaps of free travel it was adjusted then now, just after i got it dynoed it had no free travel at all and engagin an inch from lettin my foot off the pedal seriously is pissin me off and not likin it, cause i havent even got the chance to go for a good run in it yet , and has been 4 weeks. if anyone that could look at it for is or some advice cause its streesin me out. some of the things i have been thinkin that it mite be is the slave cylinder being a 200b one. wasnt bled properly being that there is still air floatin round in the pipes . and keeps adjustin itself. thas all i can think of and make sure this is looked at this weekend . Thanks

rb25det r33 intercooler piping
bazr33 posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
As it states type of piping: piping goes around the back of intercooler, and piping runs along the one side. Not over the top of engine type. I have pics that will be a bit more helpful of how it looks, and structured in the car the piping hasnt been used and are brand new, Mandrel bent pipes and are 3", not 2.5" price is 230 but is negiotable. Thanks Barret Email: [email protected] email if you want pics -
hey guys my problem has been fixed, but who knows if it will stay like that. I took the car over to the fella that did the conversion, there was no free travel at all in the clutch pedal, and he adjusted it and check the slave cylinder. as i didnt know, if it wasnt bled properly it would of been the opposite and crunched gears through changes. So the slave cylinder was right, i think he did say that there was a bit of pressure on the clutch and loosened and adjusted it. Theres no leakage from the gearbox at all, same with the slave cylinder. Gear changes are smooth as and there is no slippage of the clutch at all NOW. gettin it tune at fist on the 30th so hopefully everythings sweet as Thanks for ya guys advice and help .

Hey guys recently got my auto changed to manual, as some of you know i recently noticed that my clutch pedal is engagin right at the end ( nearly when my foot is off the pedal) . When i accelerate the engine revvs higher then what it should be doin, and only slowly increases speed. ( The only explanation i see is that the clutch is slipping a bit, but find it hard to find why that is, as its a brand new heavy duty clutch) Where as from when i got it installed the clutch was engagin right near the floor. the clutch slave cylinder, was weeping a dribble but was replaced with a 200b one, as there the same. i was insured the the clutch is a brand new heavy duty clutch, it has a machined flywheel, and a r33 gearbox. i have been driving around with the manual for two weeks now, and only started doing this now. I do know that changing between gears there is no crunching of gears AT ALL. Would there be a chance of the clutch slave cylinder when installed, it wasnt bled properly? Definatley the clutch? Or somethin goin on with the pedal? Whateva it is i wouldnt have a clue. Also to let ya know every mod i have had done to the car i have had problems and gettin sick of the Shit. Another thing payin good money, hopefully knowing that it will be done correctly and a quality professional job. Havin this happen a fair few times leaves me to the fella upstairs doesnt like me . Is there anyone that you know of that are located in brisbane i can take it too that do a quality job, to get it checked and fixed. Im gettin the car dyno tuned at F.I.S.T on the 30th , The reason im takin it too these guys are , they are close too me havent been there b4 and seen some of the cars they have helped with have a dyno dynamics dyno 125 bucks an hour which i thought was reasonable I will see if the fella that did the conversion can have a look, but just seein if any of you guys have had this happen and know what it is. BUT i didnt want to as i have been goin back and forth for different problems a couple of times. Any help will be much appreciated

i heard of the fella that did the conversion for me, from mates as they went to skool with him and, my mate got his engine converted in his vl with gearbox and rb25det for 7000 i thought it was a good price aswell when i heard, with everything done and drive away also depends where he gets the gearboxes from, which he prolly gets them very cheap, to make a profit. with the power, i was looking for power, but my main concern was ecu options and havin control of my car , knowing that its not goin to change back around a corner and spin out. if any of yous are interested in convertin let us know send us a pm and i'll give you his details. the price was 2500, and he gave me back the auto gearbox, and torqueconverter and the tailshaft was modded so didnt get that back . goin to the quarter in two weeks

well works well, as i havent heard any complaints about PFC's on skylines or anything going wrong. As for wolf 3d's with this thread looks like theres a running rich problem, and looks like its quite common, with all skylines. Maybe its just tuning problems with wolf 3d's, ppl dont have enough experience with them. Or maybe there just not suited for skylines, which i have heard that wold 3d's are more suited to a non turbo vehicle. As im sayin PFc more compatible, i' probably should of said seems to work well, ppl know how to tune them, theres alot of them around, and for the price is good. As i havent had one , just goin by hearin, seein, and readin , thats all im goin off .
-
i think PFC is more compatible with the turbo vehicles, also being like you said, there are pretty much most skyline that has modded their car, and is MANUAL, to a reasonable HP, have used this type of ECU Cause ppl know it works, and know ppl that can tune these ecu's, for the price too PFC 980 to 1500, ranges abit, but as from ppls experiences , and seein ppl usin them, seems to be worth the money as i havent had the chance of havin one...... yeettt!!!! i dont know, so and only goin what i have seen, read, and heard. BUT its good enough for me. I'm goin to go with the PFC, and recently just changed my car to manual, cause of ECU optins was very very limited, To the fact that i couldnt find one that works. And was resorted to a piggy back, or tweaked standard ecu. Also depends what hp ya chasin aswell i guess. Anyway hope everything goes sweettt assss!!
-
well i'll keep yas updated, with quarter times and i'll do a power run, with a bit of a tune as when i put the manual i had to lower the idle speed, to compensate for the auto's idle. and i think APC tweaked my standard ecu abit and the timing, so i'll get it checked out and see if its right. but im pretty happy with the conversion, there was some little bits he missed, with puttin wires back in there position, and dangling wires . Everything works dash, lights, speedo, and havent heard any whines , or crunchin of gears. goes good. But as i said there is a noticable difference in power from the auto. Who knows my auto could of been worned and tired.
