  1. **Price drop to $800 ono - fully half the cost of a new Garrett turbo. Christmas time hurt my wallet **
  2. Item: APS SR40 400hp Turbo for SR20DET Age: 5yrs Condition: excellent Price: 950ono To Fit: SR20DET Location: Canberra Contact: PM or e-mail for more info - [email protected] Comments: This turbo is from the APS JR3 kit for the Silvia which was in production until Nissan canned the Silvia line and APS halted installations. It’s a 400hp ball bearing turbo. With all the external supporting mods (including stage 1 cams, but no internal engine work) on a safe tune this turbo gave 238rwkw on 1.35bar (CRD dyno). Spooling from 2500rpm and full boost from 4000rpm to beyond redline (boost was usually run at 1.1 bar/225rwkw). WSID trap speed of 112mph. Price: $950 ono Condition: excellent Originally installed by Jim Souvas, CRD. Removed by Joshua Cho, Proncept (Joshua has confirmed that the turbo is in excellent condition with no shaft play) This is the same low-mount turbo that is used on the APS WRX kits, but this is designed for the Silvia. A straight bolt-on for the SR20DET, but can't fit a WRX as the compressor housing is different (as advised by Ben Shaw at APS). The Silvia kit which is no longer in production: http://www.airpowersystems.com/200sx/200sx.htm Details of the WRX version of the SR40: http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/aps_tur...x/aps_turbo.htm My vehicle for info on the supporting mods (some are now out of date, but not any that are relevant to this sale): http://smorhun.com/vehicle/nissan/s14/ See photos below. I'm in Canberra, but will courier to anywhere in Australia for $25. I have swapped this turbo out for a GT2871 52-trim as I was putting in an S15 engine in at the same time. I don't get out enough on the weekends and wanted a bit lower spooling for city driving. The 2871 hits full boost at 3500rpm in my car (was actually hoping for slightly lower but oh well - the real disco potato 2860 required customisation and I didn't want to go there). I sometimes wonder whether it was worth changing as the SR40 is a great turbo, but no point in going back now so I'm selling it.
  3. Hi all - these be sold now. Cheers. >>>> I have 4 stock z32 300zx rims to sell in Canberra. These are great track rims with some extra width for stability than the std 6.5" silvia or R32/33 gtst rims. I used them on my s14a 200sx for 6 months a couple of years ago but now have R32 GTR rims and don't need them anymore. They look similar to the s14/a 200sx rims, but with better looking angles and an extra inch of width They also fit R32 and R33 skylines and many other Nissans of the period (5-stud). They currently have Pirelli P6000s on them, but 2 are bald and 2 are about 1mm off the wear markers. A few sizeable scuff marks from previous owner but still in decent shape. Let me know if you want some photos or to to come have a look - am in Weston Creek area. $260 ono.
  4. G'day mate - good luck with the sale. Can I ask what "strengthened gearbox" means? Most of the mods I've looked at are either 5K+ gearsets which are still only rated to similar power, or else an r33 gtst conversion.
  5. Hmmm hasn't been whole lot of discussion here! I've had some good info from over at NSCC forums though. Is public forum I believe, but you will still have to register to see: http://www.nissansportscarclub.org/bbs/vie...2060&highlight= The basic info is that lightened crank pulleys can be an issue on cars with more than 4 cylinders, and also engines that are not internally balanced - the stock crank pulleys have a dampening/balancing effect on the engine which can be lost by the lighter weight and lack of dampener on most lightened pulleys. Underdriving the water pump, etc. separately can be a wiser move. Alloy crank pulleys can also cause premature crank seal wear which stock cast iron ones don't suffer as the seal can bed in better or some such thing.
  6. Hi all, Looking at getting lightened pulleys for my 200sx putting out 240rwkW/500rwNm and just not quite sure about what the benefits are. The normal pulley replacement kit seems to just be the underdrive crank pulley - is this the most important one? What I'm trying to achieve is less strain on the engine down low so that it's a little easier off the start - it brings me pain to go as slow as a Barina until boost hits... okay maybe not quite that bad but still. I see there are also "harmonic balancer" kits which seem to be water and accessory pulleys - are these worthwhile? I assume anything that makes the load lighter is good - as long as it doesn't then lessen the power to the accessories due to the lower momentum of the pulley wheels...? Thanks in advance for your wisdoms!
  7. G'day mate - is that Greddy temp guage the alarm type with memory function?
