New to me :-)
-
I'd prefer not to have any RWC issues - but I live in the country - probably more of an issue once it comes time to move it on. I'd like to keep the stock engine - if only from a cost perspective - and only 98ron is available here..

R33 Skyline S1 - S1.5 Airbag Steering Wheel & Clock Spring "h"
l0ckym replied to R31_GTSX's topic in Wanted to Buy
Where did you find the wheel? S1's are almost impossible to find... -
Only about 2 months....33's have the same driveline as 32's & 34's - once they go into the stratosphere- perhaps a cheaper 33 looks good value and increases in cost from there. They only made 6000 33 vspecs just for jdm - can't be many left that haven't been f'ed with -

Hi Guys/Girls I have a 95 GTR VSpec. It is completely stock - wheels, airbox, turbos, exhaust - everything. Mechanic reckons he's never seen one not touched or in this condition. Has a verified 109K kms. Was imported to Australia with 40k kms in 2000 - so has been here for ages. I'm torn between leaving it alone, and giving it a bit of a touch up with wheels, coil overs, turbos, dumps, downs, exhaust, ecu, fuel pump, coils, studs, intake, fmic & other associated bits and pieces for 350-400kw at the wheels.. R33's seem to be the ugly ducklings of the GTR world - and they are very slowly increasing in value - but probably not enough to be a true investment like a clean 32 or 34. It's nice to drive as is - but everyone wants more power. What would you do?

[sold][vic] R33 Gtr Wheels
l0ckym replied to Nismo_34's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Don't suppose you'd like to sell 2? -
Even @ $4k + another $1600 worth of semis + matching wheel nuts, plus new coil overs to replace my Std Vspec suspension - I'm getting into the $7k range - gulp. I might be a tough sell to the missus for the weekend car - when I make her drive a 14 yo oil burning xtrail on its last legs... :-)

Looking at the site - they are cheaper than $4400
-
Where are they cheaper?

I haven't had a return in years - payg - in a rubbish industry - whether I do it myself or use an accountant, I always seem to have to pay $500 or so

[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos
l0ckym replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For me - I'd love single - but the threat of having to spend a ridiculous amount of coin to swap back and forth for rwc' doesn't make sense. Sure 4 out of 5 coppers dont know what they are looking at - but get that one - and you are F'ed - changing it back is almost impossible. I don't doubt that a well configured single smashes a twin - but there are those of us that want to maintain a rwc vehicle - so at the very least - if I have to sell - there's no bullshit. If it's a track car - go nuts :-) -

I'd love to go in this direction - but trying to keep mine a 'warm' stocker - which means I'm forced to go garrett twins (-5,-7,-9) or maybe the tomei's - being a new GTR owner, everything seems to have '000 after it - a little horrifying- a little exciting at the same time :-) -

What BW's would be recommended for a stock block - if you wanted to retain twins for rwc purposes? -
I'm looking for 1 or 2 R33 GTR Rims as well. Located in Albury/Wodonga. Cash waiting for the ones the OP doesn't buy.

Thanks for this thread guys. I just got a great quote on a 95 R33 GTR V-SPEC A fraction of the price on premium & excess numbers than Just Car & Shannons.. Its cheaper to insure than the missus' xtrail !! Agreed value of $30K for a mint, stock vehicle. -
At this stage - I'll leave it be. It has a button clutch in it at the moment, which I'm not sure I want to live with - as I have a very steep driveway at home. I think I'll keep it as an investment - see what the values do as it approaches 25yrs - I don't reckon there would be many stock ones around. I'll still drive it though - but mostly for coffee runs up the mountains around here. Its a lot of money for me - so the idea of thrashing it on a track doesn't necessarily appeal either.

Really clean....needs a new steering wheel, as the leather/vinyl has started to come away.. Otherwise - seems true to the kays -and has been with the same owner for 11 yrs and 60000kms.. The plenum still has all its paint.. Couple of rust patches - one under the spare, and one on each side of the front window sill, but appears to be surface only - and I'll get treated straight away. Only variation from stock - cruise control...!! driven by old blokes..!!

Pick it up next weekend - Its been a 20 year journey, and lots of convincing of the wife to get here... Never thought I would ever be able to afford or own one.. It will be my garage queen - but I can't believe how lucky I am to finally own one...
