  1. Where is the fun in that? (Translation: I can't afford it )
  2. My End Goal is 500hp. I don't want/need more than that. (We always say that right?), but that is a long term goal. I forgot to mention the car has a ridiculous exhaust system (can fit my foot inside the tip )
  3. I'm aware of cheap ebay parts and I will not use them. I don't intend on doing anything to the engine (other than maintenance) for a few months anyway, my priorities are: get it licensed, fix up the body.
  4. The car has a front mount intercooler, GFB bleed valve, Splitfires, Pod Filter. It's currently running the stock Turbo and BOV. It's also had the Oil Filter re-routed for easier access. Here is a photo of the engine bay, taken just before I fixed the leak: http://i.imgur.com/8AMJuJm.jpg Did I mention it was rebuilt 50,000km's ago and was resprayed candy apple red? along side all new piping (which was tig welded, but needs a polish). It's plenty fast enough for now. Truthfully, I have no idea what to do with the engine...bigger turbo? aftermarket B.O.V?, ECU + Tune?.. no idea yet. Things I definitely want: Coilovers and Sway Bars, New Breaks + Rotors, Braided Break Lines. edit: fixed some bad spelling
  5. Oh, here is a photo of the freshly washed R33 4 Door, nearly ready to get some plates slapped onto her. (not embedding because the photo is huge) Theres so much bird poo burn on her, as well as weird stains that I just couldn't remove and some weird blue-tacky glue stuff that's somehow leaked onto her. My current tools were not able to remove those. Also plenty of scrapes and dings but hey.... the car was less than $3k and I'll sort those out in time. http://i.imgur.com/2L4mPAo.jpg Current plan: Mesh Grill, Remove rear Window Tint and Fit the Wheel Arch Guards. Then either drag my mate around to fix the Electrics, or if he really can't make it, drive the car to KYP, have them fix the electrics and prepare her for the pits. Take Car over Pits, Get Licensed. If the car doesn't get licensed, fix whatever they want and take it back. After that I need to save some cash, and then I move on to fixing the body and adding a few things (Reverse Camera, new Head Unit), and then we shall see about making the car perform better.
  6. That's ok. Worst case scenario I'll do the tint, guards and mesh and get KYP to do the electrics and whatever else they need to get it pit ready.
  7. Yep...Electrical stuff... any volunteers?
  8. A box for my old filter (they were gonna throw the stock on) and mesh the front grill (I have the mesh already) and my electric mirrors need fixing. The left one is fine, the right one only folds in. And when I tell the right one to fold out...the left one folds out...
  9. Ok, so I got the wheel guard from them, I did name drop you Colin don't know if it helped or not. They said for ~$800 they could get my skyline inspection ready, but that includes fixing the tacho and removing the tint. I wonder how much it'd be if I did that myself (which I can do) and just let them do engine stuff. oh, and they gave me two guards for her, an R33 (for the top) and an R34 for the front, which they INSISTED does fit the R33, all up both pieces cost $80.
  10. Yeah, my plan was to pop in this arvo, picking the Wife up for lunch first.
  11. Thanks buddy. I rung KYP again half an hour ago, the same guy said "Must be the new guy!, we fired him!" and then took my number and told me he would call me back... Why do I get the feeling I am being taken for a run. Don't they want my money?
  12. no idea what is name was. Asian accent though. Washed the car today. not the *best* wash, but it's the first time she's been washed in over a year. So much bird-poo burn on her .
  13. I called them two days ago and they said they'd call me back and never did. They're only around the corner from me so I'm just gonna drive up today and see what they have. Japwreck in cannington don't have any r33's right now either.
  14. anyone know if Wheel Arch Liners are required to get a car over the pits? (every wrecker i've called, and every gumtree add I've responded to, don't have them).
  15. Thanks again Ellie, you're a champ!. also yeah, they're claiming that car has only does 50xxx km's which I doubt is true.
  16. Not really any use for me. Wouldn't hurt to have, I guess. The stuff I really wanted is gone. a CAT wouldn't be a bad idea...but I can't fit it in my car I don't think. Don't worry about it Ellie. Thank you for looking out for me though!, I appreciate that!. as for FabCar... I've heard some shady things, their reviews aren't too flashy either, never dealt with them personally though.
  17. I know right? I've noticed R33 parts are pretty common though. The wheel Arch thingy that I need, not so common. It seems to be the one part that EVERY ONE needs.
  18. Thank you again, so much. I'll take whatever I can get, that's working (and fits in my car) . It never hurts to have spares.
  19. Thank you!!!
  20. I could go right now, actually, but I don't want to disturb him/her. It's funny because I came here to make a post about how tomorrow I was going to visit a bunch of wreckers because I need a wheel-arch thing.
  21. I need a contact number. Seriously I will go down and see him/her first thing in the morning, WITH A CHOCKA MOCHA!
  22. Didn't work on the car today (had too many other things to do) Tomorrow I will hopefully strip the tint and finally wash the exterior.
  23. Its all about being practical.
  24. Ahahaha. Some people have the weirdest taste.
  25. laugh all you want but the previous owner did this - http://i.imgur.com/hfuDA4m.jpg And those aftermarket gauges work!, but the original tachometer has some problems, as do my electric mirrors.
