  1. SNAP!. 4 doors are where it's at man I know I need to take it over the pits, but there are obvious things that *need* to be done first. Once the obvious things are fixed, i'll take it over the pits and see what surprises me. While you're on Z00key, Wanna tag along in the morning? (I'm leaving early, around 9ish)
  2. I haven't got a time frame in mind. I'm in no rush because I have a daily (2014 Lancer ES) and my Motorbike ( <3 ) so the skyline is purely a hobby... but, the sooner the better, I guess. I don't think it'll take too much, but it's a first for me. I have a friend coming around possibly on thursday arvo to take a look at my cluster, because my Tachometer, fuel gage and boost gage don't work. So, if every thing goes smoothly it should be ready for the pits next week, maybe. Thinking about making a thread to document the work.
  3. Oh, I'm not actually getting much. The engine is perfectly fine and doesn't need any work at the moment. I'm getting some more cleaning stuff (running low on some things), a Headlight restoration kit, Microfibre towels!, some Mesh for the front skirt (I've been told it wont pass pits without it?), some valve caps for my tires (its missing them) and a lug nut...because im missing one and it annoys me. The plan tomorrow is to shell the interior (as best as I can) and clean it out. The car has been sitting in a commercial garage in welshpool for 6 months collecting dust both inside and out, so before I can do any real work ,I need to clean it.
  4. Aw man, Plan for tomorrow - Go to Supercheap - Get Stuff - Work on Car. I'm so excited.
  5. Just gotta finish work today and thn the work begins!
  6. Sorry to hear about your struggles, this world can be so cruel. I'm off to work!.
  7. Morning all!, I take is Osbourne Park were top blokes then? I live SOR, there are quite a few places near me that apparently do it according to Department of Transports Website: http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/metro-vehicle-examinations.asp
  8. Speaking of, has any one had any experience with getting a car registered? theres quite a few places that do it, was wondering if there are any that are preferred? I found an old thread from 2010 and it looked like back then, there was some independent places that were a bit more relaxed.
  9. well, two more days of work and I can start digging into my car. Very Excited.
  10. Hello R33 buddy!, Glad you didn't get soaked, weather has been pretty bad. At least I know the seals on my car work.
  11. Mum lunch breaks at 3:45
  12. Nice wet and rainy Sunday. What've we all got planned. I'm off to work shortly.
  13. Tell you what, When the car is Licensed, I will drive it to get them off you. Nothing like a little motivation.
  14. Hey, you still need to come round and share your thoughts with me. (peer pressure). Also, quick question car peeps: My Fuel Gage doesn't work, and my Rev meter goes spastic for 10 minutes and then decides to work. Any ideas?
  15. Aw man, That sticker looks clean. Can't wait to get my car on the road. Currently making a list of every thing I think may need work to get it over the pits... but hey, i'm no expert.
  16. ...yep. Just finished myself.
  17. Good Morning!, Couldn't find the edit post button, so here are a couple more photos. https://imgur.com/a/AxOwT
  18. Yep, that's me. Z00key is a friend and colleague. Cars not sticker worthy yet. Nice to meet you all.
  19. Hi all, my name is Justin, and I'm a first time Skyline Owner as of today. I'm from WA and I just picked up an R33 S2 (4door) as a bit of a project car and learning experience. It's currently unlicensed but I had two friends with me with car experience and we all agreed there were not major problems. I am expecting to have to change a couple of things to get a plate put back on it, but hey... I have pics but for some reason most of them aren't showing up on my phone, when I find them I'll post them, for now, enjoy. Oh, a bit of history on the car, it was imported to AU from Japan in 2004, had 2 owners since. Has an RB25 with 212,000km's on the clock, but has just had a major service (belts, pulleys, tightening, new bolts), front mount is installed although it looks a little rough. Car has original factory floor matts, no dash cracking etc... It does need a good wash, which i'll probably provide some befores and afters. Oh, it also has a pioneer sound system with two 12" subs (in a single box) and a 600w amp, I am selling the Sub and the Amp as I just don't care for that kind of stuff, feel free to make me an offer, they do work. My current plan is to get it registered, then fix up the exterior (interior is fine) and we'll see what happens after that. Pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/e83uo , for some reason the full body photo I took is not appearing on my phone, so I'll have to take another one when the sun is up. Thank you. -Justin
