BNR34 new gearbox rebuild still making noise is it oil or bad build Hi guys so I when I was building my car thought I go ahead and change bad syncros and the mechanic said I also needed few gears as well. It's been I year and 1/2 I just never used the car cuz been under restoration and engine build. So I can't go back for Warrenty, the mechanic rebuild Supra gearbox all day so he suggested to use the Supra gearbox oil from toyota. And at first driven the car no problem like new. Then did engine upgrade did dyno but now I come to drive the car I can say been 100 miles on this box and now I hear shine noise when I let go the gas at low speed and plus start grind for some gears. Wtf. I even use OS GIKEN thriple plate clutch beside the Clutch noise at idle. I was told that normal. So I'm ok with that. but I been reading you guys use different oil on forms. Is my problem oil. Or bad build thanks

I had same issue with 4-5 on 6speed r34 gtr changed few gears and syncros on there, problem is I never got to use the car cuz was in a build been over a year and now drink the car it make weird shine noise some time and on road don't shift nice some gears grinds. I was advised to use the Supra gearbox oil but I don't know why the noise and grind is it the oil or bad build.
  3. Thanks Michael,. So I figured it out today thank god, here was the problem. 1). CAS got damaged over time the shaft in it and barring got pushed out cuzing the CAS disk to grind against sensor. Fixed that got ground ground no problem how ever. Fuel is spraying now but end up with no power to the ignition coils. Checked the egnition relay behind ecu ( under dash left side) but there is a thick White wire got no power when Cranking, so kept diagnosting there was another fuse. A 10 amp fuse in trunk next to the battery in small fuse box. I changed it and everything is working now. ?
  4. No luck today so, check injectors with noid light no working how ever there is power on injector and coils but not ground. How the hell I lose ground all the sudden???? So I checked ecu pin lay out ecu got ground alright but pin 20 It's called. B/Y ignition signal system ground. It don't have ground any ideal where this one go to so I can better track it. is this thing have a common relay module I need to know about. please guys help me out here. Thanks
  5. my tuner gonna come by monday to see if its a tune problem. i have r32 gtr is cas the same? i tried its coil no spark so definitely not coil
  6. thanks for the respond Ewan. i never had issue with the factory immobiliser, and the trigger setup u mean CAS. Y would it go wrong it was working fine and how do i trouble shoot it and btw it is factory cas
  7. just to add to the info i have delete AFM with tune as u see in pic. and engine crank fine no problem but not firing

Hi guys so i have a highly modified rb26 with flex flew e85 and e93 octane fuel setup. using dynamic injectors. i start the car every week i don't drive it so i can keep up. how ever i had e85 in take low fuel, i wormed it up and i came to pull out the car to load it on trailer. and i drove around the to get it on trailer i kind of floor it and died i figured out of fuel. no problem i got to the shop and put 93 octane( car is flex fuel tuned.) so i try to start it won't start i have one pump in tank i check it is working and i have 2 bosch external and they are working. the fuel gauge in front of the fuel rail show pressures 60psi. fuel rail got fuel. I pulled out the coil and there is no spark i pulled out the spark plug connected to coil tap on ground and no spark. also i looked in cylinder from the plug whole and the injector is not spraying fuel.... .. i the fuel pump is working but what can have went wrong.. for the records i am using AEM V2 ECU, SINGLE TURBO, FLEX FUEL, AND 3 FUEL PUMPS I NEVER HAD THAT ISSUE CAR WAS FINE TUNED AT 900WHP BUT I WASNT RACING OR LAUNCHING ... WTF.... Any help please

  14. The thing is the clutch stick back in gearbox bill housing way to much. If I manage to get it out can I drop it back in with no interruption of the bill housing Have you or any one manage to pull the motor out and back in Without interruption of the bell housing
  15. Hello guys I have an issue with oil control with RB26 need to pull out the motor to fix... Question is have any one pulled out motor only off of the gear box with OS GIKEN triple plate clutch on block... I really don't have the space to pull both out from engine bay or i don't want to pull out the gearbox either. they lead to more work and time.. Thanks.

Here is pic of how R34 GTR 6speed box with push kit os giken setup look like it to push triple plate os giken clutch Just for the record this os giken clutch is loud.... when car is in neutral it sound like r35 gear box and twice louder but once you push the clutch it go away.. and when in gear. Cheers

I have problem and same question so i build my motor and i end up with 900whp on BNR34 GTR it is a v pec ii i did few launches and gear box is ok i did fully rebuild it with all new factory gears and i am using it now and feels good. how ever i do have question about the axels in front and rear can they handle the power and i don't like how my diff not locking. It suppose to be since awd straight forward. car did snake shape i prefer to just lock the diff... what people have done with this massive power. Any recommendation can help. Thanks.

Bob cool man I'm interisted and how much you sell the restrictor for. did you make ur own sump baffle and valve cover baffle or name brand i have to see how people did their custom sump baffle and i may copy it. MINES baffle is easy to make.. can the "fuel cell foam" handle the oil heat in the motor. or is there a special foam that mines uses.
  19. Patrick, i feel same way, i don't like it, its too tiny. One of the shop build it and installed it while they build the manifold and pipes they thought RB26 behave like 2JZ., they did good job with manifold and everything else. catch can looked good Location out of the way with hose going down to drain. but once the problem came up, i pulled it out i was so disappointed with whole situation. but nice guys they said they'll take care of it they are gonna modify the can.

  21. GTRNUR, I have a problem with my alignment the front wheel is about 1.5 inch to front looks close to the front bumper. but you think this solution well cure my problem? Thanks

  23. after reading for hours, well first of all thank you guys. I did come to understand this oil issue. I was looking at my block when did the job, it did have one restrictor on the front (2001 rb26 v spec ii) so i don't have to worry about the rear. I also do have NITTO oil pump and i do street race, and some track. so guys i don't know in Australia but in USA, they don't care about legal stuff like catch can need to be routed to the turbo, pcv deal. i don't think its healthy. so i can with my plan and guys feel free to correct me 1) pull the head out, 2) port the head oil drainage to gasket size 3) Buy oil restrictors 1mm to be installed in front (heavy foot street race high rpm and some track ) tomei brand 4) Drill/port the block oil drainage lines with 10mm drill bit ( can the waste be flashed with the oil few times?) or is it a must to pull that sucker out? 5)buy fuel cell foam and build a better baffle in the valve cover. 6)and build new catch can with baffle in side. 2x -12 and tom mounted filter 7) external head oil drain already installed. -10 to lower block. 8) use 10w60 fully synthetic oil do i need to do anything inside my stock oil pan it is currently stock. with diff.
