  1. Thats fair enough, i wouldnt be bothered posting either tbh
  2. Thanks for the input Yeah maybe its just because its a black car. I will try and give it a wax every 2 months. Any suggestions for a decent buffer and products?
  3. Yeah thats fair enough man, do you get a lot of police attention for your car in s.a? im in melbourne and it seems like the cops here are alright, ive never been stopped even though my cars have been too low. I have always kept my cars clean and dont drive recklessly though. Ive heard that a good shock and spring combo is better than a cheaper coilover such as the hsd monopros i have, but i also wanted height adjustability.
  4. I put kyb shocks with ssl king springs all round on my vx commodore and it made a big difference over stock. For my r33 gtst i got hsd monopro coilovers for $1300 off ebay along with whiteline adjustable swaybars for $450. I have bridgestone re003s all round as well and the car handles like its on rails and sits flat through corners. The hsds are fairly comfortable as well, stiff, but not overly. I think the spring rates are 6kg front 5kg rear which is more street friendly. then again skylines are great handling cars anyways and i havent driven any others with different coilovers so i have nothing to compare it to. Lovely car by the way, especially that exhaust, looks 10x better than my chode of a cannon lol (hopefully getting twin tips soon)
  5. Hey all i have had my black r33 gtst for about 6 months and it gets swirl marks and scratches really easily. The car has had a respray by the previous owner. I gave it a full detail a month ago polishing it with some autogylm resin polish then waxing with mothers carnauba paste wax. it came out very nice and i got rid of most the swirl marks and light scratches. I wash the car weekly, it is garaged and i am extremely careful and clean when washing it. However the swirl marks are back, it seems as though the paint is soft or something? So i want to know, is there a paint protection, or anything i can do to the paintwork myself, that will prevent swirlmarks and make the paint last longer?
  6. I would be pretty interested but i live in vic
  7. How do RE050A's compare to RE003's?
  8. Proper detailing takes a LOT of time. Id say get a decent pressure washer and some good detailing products. You can get good microfibre towels from costco, i think its $20 for a 50 pack which is a bargain compared to supercheap. I bought a gerney more than 4 years ago from supercheap for $120 and it still works perfectly and has more than adequate pressure. For detailing products i find meguires, autoglym and mothers are decent products. Turtlewax is pretty bad in my opinion. For washing i use meguires gold class wash and wax with a meguires sponge. I use the 2 bucket method. I claybar every 6 months or so and use mothers pure carnauba paste wax every 2 months. Its best to avoid using the car wash as the water they use in the pressure washer is recycled and not good for the paintwork. And not to mention the soap brushes which will just put scratches and swirls all over the paintwork
  9. Ahh ok, thanks for clearing that up for me GTSBoy
  10. Thanks for all the info guys. I will pm hypergear Isn't 1000cc injectors overkill though? I was thinking i would only need around 555ccs
  11. Hey guys i have an r33 gtst which i am hoping to bring to around 230-240rwkw and keep lag minimal. Current mods are: 10psi boost Full 3 inch exhaust Apexi pod filter Blitz return flow cooler Gtr fuel pump Car is making 180atw Upcoming mods: Power fc Bigger injectors High flow turbo Z32 afm so my questions are. 1. Is it worth tracking down a r34 turbo to highflow over a r33 one? I heard the 34 can flow better but is it much laggier? 2. What size injectors should i be going for and any other mods needed to reach this power level. 3. Does anyone know a good tuner in melbourne, located in west suburbs but willing to travel. Any help is very much appreciated im fairly new to skylines.
  12. Does this work for series 2 rb25det?
  13. Hey guys im looking for a r33 or r34 high flow for my r33 gtst. if anyone has one for sale please let me know, located in melbourne but willing to buy aus wide. Im also on the lookout for an r33 rb25 power fc Thanks for reading
  14. The best thing to do imo is to just see as many r33s as possible and dont rush into it if you have any doubts. Also i honestly wouldnt judge a skyline by its mileage i would judge by condition as most have been rolled back or swapped. See if the kms on the odometer line up nicely, if not probs been rolled. Also are you planning on keeping the car stock or modding? because it might be worth looking at some modified skylines, it will save you heaps of money in the long run and not all owners thrash them. Stock gtsts are pretty slow tbh so you will probably want too make more power.
  15. Yeah i changed the front tie rod ends as well while i was at it so the front toe was out badly. I drove to the alignment shop at 30kmph the whole way lol.But yeah an alignment afterwards is recommended
  16. I got whiteline adjustables on my 33 gtst and i would say you can notice a difference in the corners the car sits flatter and overall handles a bit better. Relatively easy install too. Only annoying thing is that you might need a big breaker bar for the castor arm bolts for the front swaybar and also you might have to drop the exhaust off the hangers to get the rear bar in (this was done on a 33 so might be different for a 32).
