I just replaced the thermo fan motors in my car. I paid $250 for OEM used and tested units (each). New OEM fan motors are a lot more. $$$ A hell of a lot more! Q? Are the non genuine units any good? $175. Q? Has anyone done a complete aftermarket set up. If so, how does it work regarding the ECU?

Anyone rolling on 20s? If so what brand of rubber? Finding it hard to source 225/35/20 in decent brand without paying mega bucks for run flats. (Sydney) Wheels came with new Chinese banana skins. They should be banned! Car breaks traction with VDC on in the dry. Cornering is ok.

It seems to control the little LED parking globes in the headlights as a dimmer. A small dial switch is located near the VDC button. I see no purpose for it.

See pic. Any clues? It's got wiring into it. I googled it. Nothing. The sticker looks original to the thingy? Location is top of firewall on drivers side.

Try finding a straight 180sx be it local or recently imported. 99% of them would have taken a hit at some point. Geeeez don't mention to the OP about doing a online Japanese speedo check. So what can be learned from this thread? Do your homework & know your product. Be a bad student, pay someone else to do your homework.

Thanks for your tip regarding G35 on ebay. I see what you mean about the tint or vinyl stickers. I like the factory tail lights at night. But by day they nothing special. Having owned a few R series skylines in the past I loved the stove plates. Hopefully someone produces some full custom units that are similar style to the R35. Im not into the clear Altezza style either. I guess that leaves me 2 options. Buy a R35 or custom graft the tail lights into my V35.

Anyone seen or know where to buy aftermarket tail lights for V35 coupe? I'm particularly interested in a GTR 35 copy. (Stove plates).

Thanks for the reply. A friend went the icar3 with torque using iPhone. Works great. My head unit screen uses Bluetooth. I'm hoping to somehow to get it to display. Stay tuned. PS if you buy a used car and don't know the Bluetooth pin code? Try either 1234 or 0000.

Whats the go with the OBD2 dongles on ebay? Wifi is Apple only? Android=Bluetooth?. Any suggestions what to buy that works on my V35, as I want to use my ipad mini.

PM sent. Nah you would not want a V6 Monaro. They are crap and lack overhead cams not to mention poor build quality. A modern V8 Monaro would be OK. But they are just two door Commodores. A old Monaro? That would be nice if I could find one under $100k. But I would still buy something else spending that kind of money. My dream car? Give me a 240z with a RB under the hood.
