The $10 deal is for older maps circa 2011. Just look at the sale page. Could be worth the small investment to see if it works.

Came across this website. They supply Australian map DVD roms. In particular Im interested in N35 Stagea conversion. $400 or get at least a older version for $10! http://www.navigationau.com/nissan.html

Nissan skyline v35 overheating?
ZX350 replied to Denis09's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just replaced the thermo fan motors in my car. I paid $250 for OEM used and tested units (each). New OEM fan motors are a lot more. $$$ A hell of a lot more! Q? Are the non genuine units any good? $175. Q? Has anyone done a complete aftermarket set up. If so, how does it work regarding the ECU? -
I note a few different versions of Nittos. What type you got?
-
Anyone rolling on 20s? If so what brand of rubber? Finding it hard to source 225/35/20 in decent brand without paying mega bucks for run flats. (Sydney) Wheels came with new Chinese banana skins. They should be banned! Car breaks traction with VDC on in the dry. Cornering is ok.
-
It seems to control the little LED parking globes in the headlights as a dimmer. A small dial switch is located near the VDC button. I see no purpose for it.

See pic. Any clues? It's got wiring into it. I googled it. Nothing. The sticker looks original to the thingy? Location is top of firewall on drivers side.

I Stupidly Bought Repairable Write Off Unknowingly
ZX350 replied to blaylock's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Try finding a straight 180sx be it local or recently imported. 99% of them would have taken a hit at some point. Geeeez don't mention to the OP about doing a online Japanese speedo check. So what can be learned from this thread? Do your homework & know your product. Be a bad student, pay someone else to do your homework. -
Thanks for your tip regarding G35 on ebay. I see what you mean about the tint or vinyl stickers. I like the factory tail lights at night. But by day they nothing special. Having owned a few R series skylines in the past I loved the stove plates. Hopefully someone produces some full custom units that are similar style to the R35. Im not into the clear Altezza style either. I guess that leaves me 2 options. Buy a R35 or custom graft the tail lights into my V35.

Anyone seen or know where to buy aftermarket tail lights for V35 coupe? I'm particularly interested in a GTR 35 copy. (Stove plates).

Obd2 / Consult / Something To Read Codes?
ZX350 replied to talkiet's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for the reply. A friend went the icar3 with torque using iPhone. Works great. My head unit screen uses Bluetooth. I'm hoping to somehow to get it to display. Stay tuned. PS if you buy a used car and don't know the Bluetooth pin code? Try either 1234 or 0000. -
Obd2 / Consult / Something To Read Codes?

Whats the go with the OBD2 dongles on ebay? Wifi is Apple only? Android=Bluetooth?. Any suggestions what to buy that works on my V35, as I want to use my ipad mini. -
PM sent. Nah you would not want a V6 Monaro. They are crap and lack overhead cams not to mention poor build quality. A modern V8 Monaro would be OK. But they are just two door Commodores. A old Monaro? That would be nice if I could find one under $100k. But I would still buy something else spending that kind of money. My dream car? Give me a 240z with a RB under the hood.

I got all my info from 3 sources. The first being Services NSW. (RTA) Car history check. ($28 from memory). The 2nd was from the Japanese odometer check website. ($95 aussie dollars). Thirdly from the in car GPS! It had the dealer/importer pre programmed in it still. If you look around online at import cars for sale it seems a lot of places have closed up shop and the cars that are still listed have around 100000ks on them now. (Funny that). Personally I don't think many cars will be imports from Jan this year as everyone knows you can't get away with winding the odometres back anymore. The profit margin for importers and dealers just aint worth it and neither are the penalties. My car drives and rides really nice, Im not complaining. Its still tight and handles well. I guess the bottom line is when buying any car one has to know the difference of how a car drives between say 150000ks and 50000ks. Its a feedback thing from the drivers seat let alone wear and tear of the interior. I knew when buying my car from the start the odometre was not quiet right. But never the less I went with my gut and guessed it had more than what was showing. I have heard of horror stories about other peoples cars being wound back by 180000ks. Im sorry but if you can't tell the difference by looking and driving the car? You should not be buying a car without assistance from someone in the know. BUYER BEWARE! I must ad that i spent $780 servicing my car last week. All fluids, oils, filters, brake pads, disc machining, fan and power steering belts. The car ran great before. But now it drives and feels perfect. Also gives me peace of mind as I know everything is sorted for long distance trips. Sports car? Hmmmm i would not really call it that. The V35/36 was never really raced, dragged or drifted in Japan. The car was designed when the head of Nissan was a french bloke from Renault and the car was originally marketed to Japanese men over 40 who liked to play golf. I would call my car a "Japanese V6 two door Commodore". Its not as special as my 1996 RPS13 180SX <<< (Cult car). I can't see v35/36 ever being collectible either. Just enjoy your car for what it is.

Heres my story. Purchased my 2005 v35 coupe last month. Car came into Australia from importer Jan 2015. Since then it has had 2 Australian owners according to Services NSW (RTA). One is the importer being Extreme Importers in Guildford NSW. The other is a the person i got it from. When registered and complied in Australia for first time it had 67000 ks on it. The first Australian registered owner only had the car for about 12 months. He is italian and lives over near Smithfield NSW. He only did about 1000-1500ks in the car. Today i got my paperwork from Japan. Last odometer reading at export was 107000 ks. Car is currently reading 68000 ks. Simple math and detective work proves that importer (Extreme Imports Guildford) spun off 40000ks. Car is still tight and drives well. Im not pissed off because i got the car for a good price. Will i be chasing it up legally and seeking compensation? Nope! Will i be notifying services NSW (RTA). Yup. Other trivial stuff. Car was a one owner female in Osaka. Car was never damaged or modified and scored a high grading on auction papers in Japan. The device to flash or alter the odometer can be purchased on eBay from $200-$1100. It literally takes less than 5 minutes without removing the cluster. Conclusion: Shit happens! Im still happy with my car.

Update. Maxima VQ35DE belts don't fit. Go with the other part numbers listed in previous posts.
-
Sorry to dig up a old thread. Today i purchased belts that have a completely different part number from Gates via Repco. They are the Micro-V. 4PK775 6PK1080. They suit Nissan Maxima 3.5 VQ35DE. My car is a late 2005 coupe. I can't see why they will not fit. Its the same engine or am i missing something?????

Noob alert. Two imports in the garage. v35 & 180sx. Previous cars R32, Silvia K, Mustang and a rare 200SX lift back 1983 (US model). Been to Japan numerous times and can't get enough of them octopus balls.

Just a quick heads up. If you need a spare key for your Skyline V series. Go to Independant Locksmiths in North Parramatta. They can do them in 10-15 mins. But they won't have the boot or central locking buttons on the key. That's fine with me as I usually lock my car with the key anyway. Price $100. Mine works great.
