Maf Sensor Broken Off Air Filter Box

I'll try this! It should be safe to drive for now though right? -
I suddenly had this bad noise happen while driving, especially at low revs. I changed the air filter and noticed that the the point where the maf sensor connects to the air filter box was completely sheared off on the plastic. Could this be the cause of the noise? What should I do to fix it?
