illegal mods aside... if undercover officer A tells you that he has a illegitimate 42" plasma Tv for sale for $200 - you would probably buy it for your gf/bf/self/mum/granny. the next day officer A rocks up with his uniform on and busts you for buying illegal merchandise... anyone see the relationship here? Its wrong that they are luring you to one place only to bend you over once u get there. The only thing i can see happening out of this is that people will take their chances on the street being idiots cos they know if they attend drag tag they're gonna get done anyway. i dont want to hinder the hoon/police relationship but cmon, this should be fairly obvious.

what dont u get about entrapment? If the car is illegaly modified in a way that poses an immediate threat to the public or to other road users then yes, a defect is appropriate. However, in alot of cases cars are getting defected for the smallest of issues, some of them simply maintenance problems. So if these people, car enthusiasts, are trekking to far and about suburbs to enjoy their cars on the shoestring budget they might have, shouldn't they be rewarded with being able to go about it peacefully without having to deal with a gauntlet of TMU's on their way out? I don't disagree with defecting big mods that don't comply with the law - but why defect and target car enthusiasts when there's a thousand rustbuckets out there that pose much more of a threat to the environment and other people? You'd think after noble park the police would try to bridge the gap between imports and themselves ey.

mate i dunno wats wrong with some of you guys... we're all car enthusiasts - so most of our cars will be illegal at one stage or another. Illegal is illegal...but pouncing on ppl with the right attitude trying to do the right things at an allocated spot is ENTRAPMENT. khunjeng and a few others saying grab a tissue - why don't u lube that tissue and wipe your rim cos ure getting f*kd and you're loving it. The issue isn't about illegal mods - its about the police widening the 'us & them' mentality of us import drivers. No one wants another noble park. If we're gonna put in an effort to drive a distance to have fun away from the public, we should be rewarded for it, not getting punished for it. if your car has two bald tyres, no cat and f*kd seatbelts fair enuf defect but if its missing one click on the handbrake and has an air filter leave us alone. Thats the sort of stuff issues arise from. btw - r33hvn - nail on the head with the hansel and gretel analogy

theres an abundance of threads about this in all sections - GA, skyline specific. have a look around, search RB25 R32 and even tho there's heaps of results, there's penty of good info in there. but just so u know, u need an engineers certificate as the rb25det wasn't offered standard with the r32 cheers

hey guys, I've got a brand new split dump pipe made from stainless steel that i have no use for. Was bought it off ebay about two months and selling it because its 2.5" not 3" as i thought it would be. I assumed it was a 3" and didn't ask the seller so i didn't find out til i got it. Its in great condition, never been fitted to a car and never been used. Only thing included is the pipe - gaskets and bolts are not part of the package Asking $80 pickup in melbourne.

on topic i once read somewhere that the only reason the r33 is heavier is cos the rb25 engines itself is roughly ~50 or so kg's heavier due to 2.5 dont shoot me i dunno if its tru or not - but can anyone confirm/deny this?

850 for PFC without HC - u can sell that for 200-300 separately
