hows that not a GTR?

first week i got the skyline, i got pretty excited and was driving along eastern freeway with my mate in his also newly bought VL turbs. we were doing some pretty stupid speeds from springy road all the way to hoddle. At one stage the car stalled at high speed, thought nothing of it, put it in neutral, car turned on and continued at crzy speeds til we hit hoddle. at hoddle, the car stalled again, this time it wouldn't start. Smelt something burning then next thign we now a sh*tload of smoke is coming out form under the bonnet. push the car to the side of the road, life the bonnet and HEAPS of smoke comes out - coulda cooked bacon and eggs on the engine. One of the water lines to the turbo has split at some stage early in the evening, water dumped out on the road leaving none in the engine. End result - did the head gasket and warped the head itsfel by a few degrees Cost me heaps to fix up as the head had to be machined and acid dipped and all that. **This was done in my early and dumb days, never again and strongly advise that no one else does it either**

just quickly - wat does 'side-stepping' the clutch mean? is it just a slow release?

btw - this is a BRAND NEW bar, never been painted its gotta go guys - open to REASONABLE offers cheers

we're talking high twelves aren't we? with good driver skill. my mate had 230kwatw in his 180 and ran a 12.5 on street tyres and we consider him a pretty damn good driver. i'm a little doubtful about 12's with 200kw....was at calder the other night and there were easily 200+ lines there but they were doing in the 13's

Tuff R32 - yes, i did the gearbox too in short, once u have the rb25 you will realise how much of a lagger the rb20 was. Torqe is increased dramatically, overall driveability is greater, you don't need to hit boost to get the car to move. I've also been told that a 200rwkw rb25 in an r32 can do a 12sec run?? altho i'm not sure on those figures. If u have any other questions on whats required to make it all fit, shoot me a PM> Rizz, i know u know heaps about the different models nissan produces - anything in there about engine weights?

do a google and you will find pics for the rear bar for those too lazy, i will attach it looks exactly like that only its not painted pick up only preferred cheers

i do remember seeing a thread a few months back where someone knew the actual figure differences of the two engines. think it was in the 100's or something. can anyone confirm that? also, how much weight does replacing the stock bonnet with a fibreglass item save?

how much for a set of these ferodo's and where in melbourne can i get them? I have a midly modified r32 and drive it hard occassionally. Will upgrading to these pads all round with good brake fluid be sufficient for daily driving and the occassional track day? cheers

hey guys, just had a quick question i did the rb25 transplant in my 32 a little while back and have noticed it is a little more front heavy. Does anyone know exactly how much more the rb25 weighs compared to the rb20? Also, to counteract this problem, would fitting a CF or fibreglass bonnet fix the problem? The car does feel a little more front heavy at times which is only noticable with some spirited driving. Anyone else have this problem and have a good solution? Cheers and thanks in advance

i used to have one - yes there's a plate for it to block it off trom circulation completely and theres should also be a screw at the back of the bullet Drove me crazy after a few months tho and i got rid of it.

i thought it was possible to have a 4 point bolt in half cage in skylines without having to take out the interior? Can comeone correct me if i'm wrong? looking a getting one in the not to distant future. cheers

i got 3inch from front pipe back, no cat but still retain resonator and muffler. Its an 'Invidia' exhaust makes 87db. got it tested a little while back for EPA

i have personally dealt with AVI from GFORCE bodykits - if you would like to know about my experience shoot me a PM all i can say is i should have forked out the extra money to get a proper kit can anyone confirm that both speed dreamz and g force get their products from the same company?

so does that mean that if i drive in another state without a valid drivers licnese in my home state they will still find out? *not that i'm doing anything dodgy....*
