where's the option for 'asian drivers'? my old lady is the worst, typical asian lady, freaks at nothing, yells at everything. God they should be banned from the roads...
-
ahh...ok. didn't think of that. thanx for clearing it up
-
ok...i get why it can be illegal b/c it modifies emissions - but isn't that a double edged sword? I mean, the car can be made to run healthier and produce less emissions with an aftermarket ECU? so surely the EPA would take that into account wouldn't they?

lol do-luck would be the sh*t...too bad my pockets aren't that deep. ADZMAX - yeah, i've def learnt my lesson no more stupid stuff 8am on a sunday in the wet. does anyone know a place that has do-luck replica? I've heard the original is in excess of ~$5K...thats a bit too much IMO. BTW - i had a look at the blister kit - my car won't fit in the garage with that bulge mate lol jap.com.au have the vertex kit for $500 atm - seems like a pretty good deal. foznice - if i get rid of the bar, you'll be first on my list

have u got a pic inark? not familiar with it...as long as its not too expensive...12sec 1/4 is looming ahead..lol

thanx for the replies. I prob plan to keep the car another 2 yrs or so..already had it for 2. Wasn't planning on doing the exterior until i hit 250rwkw but this accident has prompted me to switch priorities for now. GTR front bar is def better but the vertex has the nicest ass i've seen on a 32. Do u think the gtr front would go with the rest of the vertex? In two minds atm....

Well, the saga continues. After my last accident the engine blew (replaced with rb25det ), and on both occassions i decided to upgrade rather than returning the car to its original form. Now, i've just had another silly accident in the wet (my fault i admit, no comments plz)...and now i'm presented with a dilemma. The damage is to the left-rear and is fairly extensive. I could either fix it back to normal, or get a full vertex kit, FB bonnet and respray the whole car. Either way the car is going to get a respray, but do u guys thinks its worth spending an additional ~900 on a kit? I currently got a GTR front bar with full type m kit. I had a look at the for sales (cars) section and ppl seem to be struggling to sell their cars for the price they want. What do u guys thinks? Should i keep pumping money into her or should i just do wats neccessary? Any opinions? Does it ever stop?

Black R32 Killed Woman, Daughter On Life Support.
Phantom32 replied to LastTemptation's topic in Victoria
The driver was deemed not at fault and released by the police. The peds were crossing at a non-crossing area, driver was doing speed limit and it was one of those unfortunate accidents where ppl and car swerved in the same direction. Its a shame that it had to be a nissan GTR, but this case seems purely to be an accident, and a tragic one at that. Condolensces out to any family and friends affected -
Woman And Child Killed By Skyline
Phantom32 replied to blind_elk's topic in General Automotive Discussion
From what i know the driver was driving at the speed limit. The mother and child began to cross the road as he approached, when they saw each other the driver swerved away and unfortunately the woman and child headed for the same direction as the car. Its a tragedy to see this happen; my sympathies go out to the families. BTW - to all those passing early judgement, please hold off and gather all the facts before labelling ppl. Accidents are sometimes just that - accidents. -
i read on NS that there would be monthly drift sessions at caldren, can u confirm this at all?
-
so does this rule also apply if your neighbour or some memeber of the public files a complaint against your car? Eg. Mrs Smith calls up the police and says xxx-ooo speeds down my street every day blah blah blah. I don't speed down side streets, but have been accused of it b/c my car is louder than stock. Most of you prob understand what i'm saying...just cos our cars are slightly louder ppl always assume that we are speeding even tho we are not, or cos ure suspension is stiff the headlights bounce quite rapidly. Will the police have the power to act if a witness claims something that may/may not have happened? Or do the officers have to see it with their own eyes first?

boost switch? do u have a hi-lo switch to control your boost? If so, which setting is the AFC tuned for? maybe just tune it for one setting and leaving it at that?

hey mate, my post is gonna sound just as farfetched as yours but here goes.... We used to live in a house in the western suburbs with my family and an aunt. Her parents died when she was real young and we beleived that their spirits followed her around to haunt her. Anyhow, after a series of events which freaked the f*k out of everyone, we brought over a witch-doctor from Vietnam, a distant relative of ours. We're Viets and we do beleive in ghosts n spirits. He did a room-to-room cermeony incl chants, fire breathing and the like to communicate with the spirits to get them to leave. In the end, they did - no more strange happenings. If you're wondering what sort of things - my aunt would dream that her mum was in a rage of fury in her room pulling the place apart and she would wake up to clothes all over the floor, drawers pulled and the light on. One time she dreamed that she walked with her mum to a creek near our place and when she woke up she was sitting on the edge of the bridge bout to jump. True story, i shit you not. Anyhow, are your friends of asain decent? cos if they were they'd know who to see. If the previous tenants were asians, it could maybe even be worth heading down to a temple and having a chat to a buddhist monk. They could come over and try to coax the spirit to leave. Trust me they wil understand the situation. There's a few suggestions mate. Ppl can think i'm loopy or wateva but i witnessed all this sh*t and have no doubt in my mind watsoever that these things happen. Let me know how u go. PS. I don't smoke crack and i have not been up all night raving. This is a true story

just out of pure curiosity, can u put an rb25 head on this block? Wat sort of gains or losses would be expected and would it even be worth the job? Good luck with the sale mate
-
i had a similiar problem with my car a lil while back and when i upgraded the fuel pump it sorted itself out. I'm no expert when it comes to cars, just throwing out some suggestions to look at.
-
yo, ure using a afc right? I reckon its the fuel pump not running right atm. Maybe its been tuned to run well and effiecient at the lower rev ranges but up high its leaning out. Wat happens when u stretch the gears ou and ay given speed? Does it still shudder? If yes, i'd say it def a fuel issue. Get an import mechanic to take it for a drive, they'll figure it out in now time. good luck mate
