i dont get it....you are building a 3.2l...would you not be using a twin cam head?

Simplest Way To Shim An Rb26 Head

using one bucket as a reference (usually the one to correct clearance) use a depth micrometer to measure the depth. Then reshim to match the depth of this reference. This method only requires the cam to be fitted twice.
