  4. Cool bits, out of interest how much lighter is the jap spec boot? No dramas mate a pm is on the way. Cheers.
  5. Sounds good Dave they are a great car, you will have a lot of fun with it.
  6. Cool
  7. I am interested to see pics of the just jap lower control arms fitted to a r33gtst if any one has fitted them. Cheers.
  8. If you are thinking of a dedicated track car then sell it, but if you want a nice weekend car with the ability to go to the track ocasionally keep it and do the above.
  9. Dave, I have 3071 with ex gate etc, but if I was going to keep it road regoed I would stay with the low mt and a HKS kit. They are well proven and look stock. If you go hi mt etc you have more chance of getting into trouble with the law. Stick with the above and the 25 crank, keep it simple. Feel free to give me a call if get stuck. Cheers.
  10. Dave, My opinion would be to keep your R33 and freshen up the engine, fit some nice seats, a Nice 1 way mech LSD and some small brake up grades. You will only get 10K or so for the GTST it is very sad but that is what they are worth . I am sure that it is worth a lot more than 10K to you. A GTR will need a engine fresh up as a minimum as most people drive them hard and they require more maintenance that the trusty GTST. I think you would get a nice GTR then get depressed when you are spending more money then you budgeted on a car you don't have a sentimental attachment to. Your GTST is very nice I think a small engine build on pump fuel not E85 as the last thing you want to think about when you take the wife or kid for a drive is where is the next servo. You would be suppressed how much fun you can get out of a good set up with out going to the 3ltr and E85. Stick with the 25 bottom with 9:1, Nitto oil pump, HKS 2835 pro s turbo kit, and HKS cams and mild head work. that will give you a nice 250 - 300 rwkw with 14-19 psi of boost depending on tune and will last you a long time if you look after it. Any way what ever choice make you will still have fun they are both great cars. Cheers.
  11. I have a 99 stag and a VY S2 SS crewman and the stag is faster but i love my crewman more, it is a lounge chair with a V8 attached. We like the Holden so much we are thinking about selling the Stag and getting a new SSZ wagon for the misses. But if you are on a budget and you dont need to toe a caravan or car trailer i would get a stag hands down over an older como.
  12. Get a V8, they are sick
  13. Neil i love my R33 it is a lot of fun and holds some sentimental value with me as does yours with you, you will get great satisfaction out of the transformation i know i did with mine. My car only has 250-270 rwkw (depending on boost) but is sure does come on hard, last time you were in the car it had rubbish tyres with good rubber and a little time spent on the rear and set up you will not have any dramas with traction from 3rd and up. The parts you have chosen look great, how much adjustment do you get out of the Nismo arms? All my arms are std with adj whiteline bushes they are ok but i want to solid mt the diff and cradle and run rose joints through the rear end. As for the front i have purchased a Chinese set of adj lower control arms and guess what they DONT fit woohoo so now i am looking for another option. I will be interested to see how much adjustment you can get out of the arms you have. The std motors will last a long time if looked after correctly, you will have no drams here mate. As for the cage they provide a great sense of security and really tie the car together, after driving mine with and without a cage you can really tell the difference. Just make sure it is designed specifically for YOU, it is hard letting someone cut your pride and joy up but if it is done write it will be very rewarding. Just make sure if you are getting a dash bar that the factory dash and cluster fits before it is all finished as mine didnt, if you are anything like me stuff like that is hard to fit into the budget. My phone is always on if you need have any questions, i will be following your progress. Good luck, Ryan

  15. You can buy them from nissan, i have them in the shed if you want the part numbers. But you back yarders should be putting vaso on your engines so them come out easier for you, see you pull them so much hehe.
