Oh no. That's not what i want to hear. [emoji43] Did something go wrong or is it just how it sometimes goes? I've been told 5-7 day recovery max. I'm glad to hear you're on the mend again.

vic For Sale - Audi A4 Racecar (Turbo Quattro)
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Ok. Ok. I get it. It's not a Skyline. How about $5000? You probably can't build a Lemons car for 5k(maybe). If you are even at all interested let me know. [emoji16] -
Lurker Steve here. This month: I blew up my BMW (bottom end). I got fired. [emoji26] I did my back on the long weekend (too much picking up small children incorrectly). Next month cannot be worse. Oh wait. Getting a vasectomy in two weeks. [emoji849] I'm praying it doesn't hurt.

Should I sell my Skyline for a 4wd
Steve85 replied to Blakeo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If you're over it and you don't like driving it, looking at it or working on it sell it. Otherwise keep it. -
Welcome Texas friend!!! Would love some pictures... I'm all about the pictures. Not so good with the helping. [emoji849][emoji16]

Dude... Its 2019. 20s minimum or you're not cool. ??? That car should be on a 30+ degree angle.

I'd suggest take a photo of the two clusters together. Make sure you're upfront if you ever sell and you might be ok (depends on the buyer then).

Steve's R33 LM Limited Upkeep
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
No this one has just been painted blue apparently. Although. My friend @Pal has just sold his LM to someone here in Melbourne. So no the one above isn't an LM, but yes there is another in Melbourne (in a few weeks I think). Yep, and if you zoom in its got a Vspec sticker and mine doesn't. But in your (and everyone elses) defense, I actually assumed someone had stolen my car and called a friend to around to my house and check on it as I was on holidays.- 129 replies

Steve's R33 LM Limited Upkeep
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
My GTR friends absolutely blew up my phone initially thinking it was me until some people with keen eyes saw a couple of differences. Thanks for the kind words. [emoji16]- 129 replies

Steve's R33 LM Limited Upkeep
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I couldn't agree with you more. But, they're ridiculous money and it looks like i've missed the boat on getting a set for less than 2.5k. Never mind. I am still to polish the ones on it. That will help a little (i hope).- 129 replies

Mine has a 2.8 bottom end (Tomei). It's rated by them to 800hp (IIRC). If I was going to spend the insane amount of cash the last owner did, i'd be looking at 3L+, i'd be doing away with the 2.6 block. The total of the components (that I have receipts for) is something like 35k in parts alone. Add to that a bunch of time that must have been paid for and the fact i've dropped another 10k into it. What I have is a very capable and (seemingly) solid build for up to 500kw atw. Anything more than that and i'm going to start to break things (probs gearbox). If my build were to happen today, I can guarantee that it wouldn't have a 2.6 (or 2.8) in it. It would have been a 3.0L block stroked. I expect that they also would have dumped the twin turbos and gone a decent single. If you're going all out, you've really got to consider buying the right parts first time and don't worry about trying to make the 2.6 produce a million kilowatts. Build an engine on the side if that suits you better. The more money you put into the 2.6 the less you will have for your goal engine. If you don't know what your goal engine is, start with your power level and work backwards. You might find it's closer than you think. Also GTR ownership itself doesn't seem that expensive, it's the modifications that get you. ?

Complete 33gtr engine n gearbox swap into s1 stagea
Steve85 replied to Taffozone's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Sounds like you need a Stagea and R33 GTR wiring diagram to match everything up. Give searching a go on the forum for each one. -
Possibly you shorted a circuit and blew a fuse? Or maybe damaged a wire. Possibly your connectors aren't seated? It might be a good idea to take some pictures and post them up.

The Stock R33 GTR
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I wouldn't hate that... maybe. [emoji848] -
100%. Sleeper wagons are my favourite of all cars. Super excited to see what you can achieve.
