Steve's R33 LM Limited Upkeep
Steve85 replied to Steve85's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Hello valued SAU people. I went out and had some images of the LM and my wifes car taken by an actual photographer. Needless to say the photos were way better than anything I can produce. We went down to Docklands to take the images as I wanted an urban environment as the backdrop. We removed the plates for the rolling shots as I can't stand them. They just look so ridiculous on the front of the car. When I get custom plates, I'll be sure to get at least one slim line one. The rolling shots are easily my favourite. Here are the images (where the LM is the main focus):- 129 replies

Oooh an S5. In my opinion one of the nicest looking cars bar none. (Unless it's the four door version... smh) Welcome aboard. I'm sure you will be able to get the info you need. There's a lot of helpful people around.

Skyline R34 GTT Dark blue Pearl (BP9)
Steve85 replied to AlphaFXDB's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Wow!!! This car has come such a long way. You've done a great job of repairing this car. To think it would have been broken apart if you hadn't bought it. Well done and good job!- 12 replies

I did this... I had mine inspected at Croydon Racing. The guys did a good job, provided me with images (some specific angles I had specified) and a written report. They were also pretty well priced from recollection.

HELP !!R33 gtst check engine light blinking
Steve85 replied to BASHERnissan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
These codes are for GTRs. They may be of some use to you. Edit: Uggggh, I've got to start reading these posts properly. If you've got an aftermarket ECU, these won't help. Sorry. [emoji848] -

What model are we talking about? Also have you changed your steering wheel at all? Any changes to the wiring loom? -
Hello and welcome. That's an impressive photo you've taken. The sky looks pretty cool there. I don't know a thing about Stageas. I just like wagons. [emoji16]

I don't know, but I'll take a stab at; Heated mirrors (extreme left) and rear window demister (left).

GOT SUM's RB34
Steve85 replied to klutched's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I think im most impressed that it produces that power at just 1500 rpm. Imagine if you revved it out!!! ??? (I'll see myself out). -
You might want to double check that you don't already have bluetooth (you might be lucky) and the existing head unit may be bluetooth capable. If you dont have bluetooth, i should expect all new headunits would be capable. Just double check the specs if you are going to buy one, but i honestly couldn't see it being not available on some headunits, its cheap easy (for manufacturers) and what the market demands... I'd do a search on the forum before you get flammed here. Basically, from the other times I've seen this question. Keeping the twins is convenient and cheap, but you'll run out of ability to make power past a certain point. Converting to single is expensive and time consuming in comparision now, but will yield greater results down the track when you are trying to crack big power. I think...

The FM radio in Japanese cars won't go beyond 90. Mhz as Japanese radio is set into a lower band than ours (88-108Mhz). In order to get around this you can: 1. Replace the headunit. 2. Use an FM transmitter for your phone/mp3 player and set it to lower than 90Mhz. Possibly the head unit could be re-flashed with new firmware, but I've not seen it before. Hope this helps. [emoji16] Edit: I've assumed that you have the OEM radio in your car.

Nice looking cars. I had no idea they couldn't be driven over there. I'm sure I've seen some videos of GTRs ripping around.

R33 gtr gearbox upgrades?
Steve85 replied to Woojen's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Samsies. Had no problems to this point, although I try not to treat it like a switch. But sometimes i get excited and need to be quick on the changes... my gear-set is tougher than I thought it would be. -

Ooooooh THAT R33. Now i get it. [emoji848]? -
I ride a push bike most of the time (when I'm not falling off it). I live in the inner city so driving is pretty pointless during the week. I've also got an R33 in blue kind of like yours and my wife also has an R33 in Silver. I like to be friendly to new people and to look at the pictures of their cars... (I'm a little odd) ?

It's a serious wing alright. And very unique. Personally ive never seen one on a car in real life. Cool points just for rarity. [emoji16] -
Ooooh. So pretty. That's a good looking car. [emoji7] did you respray it or did it come to you that way?
