WOW! Information overload! Intense day! And bloody hot! But a great day overall Judging and Filming in between made the day go pretty fast! Was good to meet some people and see drifting alive and well in Victoria. Congratulations and thanks to the interstate guys who came down from the ACT, NSW and S.A. It’s a big effort and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves at Winton. All the interstate guys were at a high level and only just missed out on the top 4 battles. As far as the judging went, wow! We had numerous re-runs, more than I’ve ever been part of. The standard was very high and most impressive and indicative of the improving overall level of Drifting in Aus. I had a great time judging with Tony and Sean, a lot of pressure calls to make, but also a lot of laughs. Cat, thanks for scribing the points down too! The winners: Congrats to the winner Luke Fink, and runner up Leigh Pidwell, 3rd Nigel. the guys fast, consistent driving all day was rewarded accordingly. Top work guys! Leigh should be known as “the proximity mine” N64 golden eye style!(racin Jason can use it if he wants) Intense closeness all day Leigh, great to watch. Also to the street class guys, 1st Robert Mclaren(pinky180) 2nd. Andrew McNeill and 3rd, Josh Morrison consistent driving meant another difficult decision. Congrats guys! Special mention to Aggess who got 4th In pro class. For me, you were the most exciting guy to watch on the day. Always alive and a bit wild, it suited what I loved to see to the ground mate. You landed the craziest entry award too(not that we officially had one) Congrats! Like Big Kev, “I was excited” Yoshi, Kelly, John, Warwick and all the other Vicdrift guys did a great job and worked really hard all day. They worked hard for weeks before the event too. So thankyou to all you guys organising it. Safety do a good job at Winton, so good work to them as well for keeping downtime to a minimum. P.S As far as making a video clip. I will be doing so as soon as possible but you may have to hang tight for a week or so. I promise to do it faster than round 2. I missed out on some great footage for various reasons, but ill make do with what I have.

It is an Awesome DVD, picked one up a couple of weeks ago. I think its between 90 mins and 2 hours from memory! Love the Japan drift stuff, the Drift Australia stuff cracked me up, Denzo is a goose! and some of the stunt riding is jaw dropping, and painful! It's a pretty cheap DVD considering what you can pay for these type of things nowadays. Support the industry i say!

go to driverdynamics.com, they run skid pan days at attwood, near melb airport. I instruct at these sessions and they are heaps of time on the pan to learn, in a safe, stress free environment. Vicdrift also run beginners parts of the courses away from the main game and spectators, so again its pretty stress free. there is instructors there as well that will help you tackle corners properly and learn the basics Otherwise SAU run the DECA days which look pretty good for beginners as well Plenty on offer, you won;t regret getting out there i assure you!

anyone else notice they cut out where the hellss angel guy in black was put into the divvy van, "convienient" that would have been abit ugly for the show i reckon. Notice the youngish cop guy who was the front man for the story had a mark on his forehead after they had got him to the station as well. must have been a bit of trouble getting him in to the van. it drives me nuts how they keep leaving a story after 2 mins, and then review back 1 min befor continuing on iwth it later. they could actually get that show to 10 mins of good footage, but just pad and review it out for the 1hour or 30 mins, whatever it was

hi Worp3d, I cant stop looking at that model eating it in your avatar! lol umm, as far as Vimeo goes, why does it suck??? Can't access it at work maybe? Unlike youtube it allows you to view a video page file without having it start auto playing on you, which is good if you dont have a massive d/l quota. Also vimeo doesn't care about copyrighted music in that it wont disable any audio track that potentially violates any copyrights. Quality is also very nice on Vimeo, so im happy to stay there ATM. Sorry i wont be having it as a d/loadable file as such. Just for viewing. Hope this answers your question. Sorry if it means you cant view them for whatever reason!

Hi, I know there is a few guys on SAU who go to these events so I thought some may be interested in viewing some footage of the day. Was a fair few skylines at Round 2. I tried to include as many cars as possible. Vicdrift Round 2 was a memorable event, with over 80 Drivers tackling a wet then dry day at Winton Raceway in Victoria. I've put together 3 clips to show the day in its fullest. Please excuse a small part of the footage that isnt as cleear as the rest, it was converted from 4:3 to 16:9 See D.A drivers Khudar Elhaouli and Chris Dejager as well as young charger Leigh Pidwell tacking on S.A's finest in Jake Jones and Cliff Clayson. constructive criticism is fine. Enjoy! cheers Jos P.S, how do i embed vimeo? i see at SAU you can do youtube. It's different to ns.com. can anyone help? Feature Battle of Winton Carnage

Hi, I went to the autumn drift festival with a couple of friends in my nissan s14. Craziness resulted. Hope you enjoy. You can't embed these videos on the SAU forum is that correct?
