  1. oscar32 Map attached. Still not sure whether I will be hitting the track but will decide when I get there. Duncan
  2. Anyone thinking of going up on the Friday? Its an open practise day so you can hop on the track if you like. Some of the Dattos/Nissans will be doing some testing for the Nationals including an IPRA FJ20ET Datsun Sunny. Teh Drift King (Pete) looks like he will be making an appearance in the RB26 R31 as well. A few of us are going up and will meet up @ 8:30 at the Shell Servo near Exhibition Park. Hope to see some of you there. Will try and make Sunday as well... Mmm Datsun goodness :drooling:
  3. No worries Leigh, you will just have to show us how its done and yep the S15 from the other post is Kris's from the charity cruise.

  9. hehe, just raising funds for our CAMS affiliation so we can start holding track events. Whats $5 between car enthusiasts You could always become a VMPCA member... We will be having music, BBQ etc. Currently looking into prizes or trophies as well. Just thought I should also mention that its a 2wd dyno.
  10. Just letting you know about a dyno day the VMPCA are holding (in April). Only 20 spots available so get in fast!
  11. Sorry to hear that mate, happened to me about six months back in Manuka. Some real dickheads around
  12. This is true, perhaps I should have made a porn site instead then I could be teh pimp meister :Pimp: :cuddle: :boobies2: :69:
  13. Agree with whats been said above, if you still cant get them to fit another option is to use Photobucket or similar. Upload the files then just point your reference on the page to the pic. That way you arent using any space on your page but still have the pics up!
  14. No worries mate. Depending how I go I might get some more track work in before the RENEW day on Saturday 19th March @ Wakefield. If you havent been to one of there days they are well organised with lap timing and the whole deal. If anyone scams tomorrow of and wants some track action give me a call 0407 202 348.
  15. Stevie any luck? Anyone else?
  16. Jayce, not sure which plug you have but the old boy has the square type not the round ones. If thats what you have then you can borrow his trailer (already cleared it with him). Cheers
  17. The pads I use on the 200 are Ferodo DS-2500's and they are great out at the track, have never had fade problems after some hard laps. They arent cheap (around $250 a set) but if you intend on taking your car to the track I would definately recommend them and know of a local guy who can get them in at pretty reasonable prices. They can be a little noisy around town but I can live with that knowing how good they are when I want to get adventurous (on the track). With the disc machining, you can get them machined while they are still on the car (I spent a little bit of time helping out a mobile company years ago). Depending on how bad they are you may need new discs though Good excuse to upgrade
  18. Dont worry we will go out regularly this year. So far Stevie is coming, Snooze how are you looking? Anyone else?
  19. Only had a quick chat to Jerry the other day. The car is actually for sale if anyone has the cash or something worth swapping for his next project. It has the full range of APEXi electronics AVC-R, PowerFC, etc but not sure on actual engine mods.
  20. See a R33 parked down @ Cafe Momo's in Bruce all the time (down the road from my work)
  21. The oran park day will be awesome. Unfortunately I cant make it, will be sampling some old F1 cars @ Phillip Island.
  22. As many of the guys said just cop it on the chin. Who cares what people say. The only thing that scares me is that your thinking of a GTR by the end of Yr12. I hope you get some real driving training before then I dont want to see another statistic.
  23. Thanks SupaFly. Spectators dont have to pay a cent unless they want to go for a ride themselves in which case they pay the full amount (I think... cant really remember). Stevie - would be great if your mates Stato can make it out there. My mate with the green ute loves his statos (owned a couple) but wont be able to make it out, he is racing at Phillip Island that weekend, we leave on the Thursday. Here is some advice that I found very useful by the NSCC guys... Mechanical: Check all fluid levels ( Oil, Coolant, Brake Fluid ) Double Check that all caps are on and secure Check front and rear brake pads Check all tyres and ensure that they are in good condition Check that all hoses ( including Intercooler pipes ) are firm and not worn Check that your seatbelts are in good condition and not worn Personal: Long sleeve cotton-type shirt Closed shoes Short sleeved shirt (its either really hot, or really cold, at Wakefield) Helmet (if you're not renting) Empty anything you don't need out of the car. It'll give you a good excuse to clean out the interior. What I will be bringing is: Spare tyre and tyre changing equipment Locking nut Service booklet All the other miscellaneous stuff gets left at home. If you have a big stereo that you can remove, take it out. You won't need a street directory, so leave it at home. While you can empty your car there, its an open-aired shed and so there's little security. Don't leave anything lying around that you can't afford to lose. I might bring a little esky with some drinks, but there is a canteen facility on-site (and if you have to refuel at lunch, you'll be heading into town anyway). Just as importantly, make sure that you get a good night's sleep and ensure that your attitude is right when you arrive. Driving like a hoon will get you off the track, either by the marshals or by the laws of physics. While Wakefield is forgiving on people who come off the track, you still run the risk of ripping a tyre open or crunching your lower bodywork on the loose stones if you hit it at speed. And the last thing you need is to be remembered as that guy risking everyone else's rides, that eventually got told by the marshals to never come back. WET WEATHER: The track is open rain or shine, and I'll leave it up to you whether you want to come out. Many thanks to Brenton and Alan at the NSCC, from whom I've borrowed a lot of this content.
  24. With the RENEW track day coming up I thought I might get a little bit of practise in @ Wakefield if anyone is interested in taking there Skyline out. Pete from SAU (fatz) will be bringing his RB26 R31 out (I think there will be some other R31s as well). The only problem is that its a weekday (Wednesday). Im heading off to Phillip Island the next day so better not break anything! Oh and I dont have to talk to the Government over this one... :werd:
  25. Sorry to hear that mate. If its any consulation one of my best mates has been building a car for a couple of years now. It was about two weeks away from being completed when last week some tossers kicked down his garage door when he wasnt home and stole gauges and a stereo from the dash. The dash was a custom Autometer unit costing 4k. The dash is now fcuked and he is put back another six months while he saves to complete the car. The car will no doubt have to be moved to another location. He is even considering selling the thing. Bastards! We copped a lady in a small hatchback beeping at us @ the museum on the weekend. She couldnt wait 2 seconds for us to move the cars. I could see what she was thinking "bloody hoons". What she didnt know was that we were raising money for a very good cause, she probably hasnt lifted a finger to help. Its that kind of narrow minded people that we can do without. Dont worry about what other people think mate. You own a nice car, look after it and drive it responsibly give imports a good name. If you can its a good idea to get some driver training if your on your Ps. If you can afford it, practise days out at Wakefield will really show your cars limits and more importantly your own. Rant over
