Packy, I have a Wolf 3D V4 ECU on a 3SGTE - yes different motor but however .... I have had similar symptoms. If you have the Handset - turn off the turbo timer function from the menu - this fixed my prob. I had a HKS stand alone turbo timer connected however at the time and somehow it was conflicting with the Wolf. I've been told before but can't remember now, the Wolf's require a solenoid (no idea which wire) for the turbo timer to function. It may not fix it but worked for me ...
