  1. il be at future music fest, so have fun guys.
  2. ok. can u find out whether they still make the adjustable knobs that go on top of the rear shocks for adjustment through the parcel shelf, as one of mine is missing and would like to get some more if possible. thank you muchly. Daz
  3. nah i wasnt going to send them back tpo j-land, was just wondering how they went about fixing them now that apprently hks dont make rebuild kits for them anymore. are they binners once they leak or they just use aftermarket parts or something. Paul i was told to use TSR (total shock reco) @ slacks creek by performance wholesale. maybe this is who your thinking of, anyway mine are out of the car at the moment, and i need to get them looked at by somebody to tell whether or not they need a rebuild, then il look into rebuilding them. also depends on cost aswell, might not be economical, which would be a shame if they need doing.
  4. Hey Mark, awesome car man, love the set up, so jealous. since u are in japan and are in contact with hks, would you be able to do me a favour, could you ask them do they have rebuild kits or anything for hks coilovers still, as i have a set in my R33 gtr, and was wondering how they go about them in japan when they leak? as im sure i will come across this sooner or later, and they are an awesome coilover. so far performance wholesale here in qld seem to be the sole hks distributor in oz, and i was told by them nobody in australia services them really, then was told to try a local place in brissy who might be able to rebuild them. You can PM me info if u find anything out Many Thanks Darren

    Vipec Ecu

well if u discuss what your goals are with mark concerning the car im sure he will point you in the right direction with what ecu to get. for me there was no need to go V88 as im not planning on using half the features that it can provide, so for me it was not worth the extra money.
  6. cool, il be down for a retune sometime in the future. as i only got a conservative tune when i got my ecu installed. want to see what i can do to give it a bit more poke. just got to work out time off + cash etc. Congrats on the job aswell.
  7. Bump!

    Vipec Ecu

I am running the V66 or as they call it "skyline plug in" on my R33 gtr, hasnt missed a beat, they have a fair few features and mark knows what hes doing with them. they pull out standard ecu and replace the internals with the vipec mother board, plus straight back into the stock position and looks stock, if u are drag or circuit racing and have alot of power and a larger set up, id probably go with the V88 but its a wire in job, not plug in. but has alot more features that might be useful to you if you do either of these things. Cheers Darren
  9. Bump again
  10. it could also be a welch plug , hope for your sake its not , they can be a pain to replace depends on which one it is.
  11. thanks mate im on sunshine coast, but its not hard to send stuff to brissy via couriers etc il give them a buzz. redcliffe is closer then bris anyway. Cheers for that.
  12. Hmm no one reccomend any places, i have done a google search and found australian cv's at slacks creek, has anybody dealt with them at all?
  13. Hey guys, i have been having issues with my gtr it seems to pull slightly to the left, even after wheel alignment etc apparently there isnt enough adjustment to stop it and will need more. my steering wheel also is slightly turned to the left most of the time but u will be driving along down the road then the car will start to track towards the right all of a sudden then straighten it self then to the left again. i have removed the hicas so it cant be that, i have been told by a few people who have looked at it that inside the steering rack, the valving etc can be stuffed causing it to fight against the driver, which i can feel through the wheel when driving. feels like an hydraulic style turn of the wheel like power steering. If you let go of the wheel whilst driving along it will pull to the left mostly but then turn it self towards the right all of a sudden the go back straight again. it does this regularly. any other hints on what to check before getting rack rebuilt? has anybody had a simlar problem? Cheers 85URK Daz
  14. i had a knocking noise coming from one of my coilovers i though it was stuffed after removal, i found the problem was one of the nuts on the bottom of the thread where u wind them up and down was a bit loose and it allowed the spacer over the threaded part to rattle up and down slightly under load, just tightened it up and it should be all fine now. but my wheels didnt move side to side sounds like a rear cradle issue or something if your wheels are moving side to side and out towards the gaurds.
