  1. Yeah they look pretty good on yours, I kinda want to get them powder coated but I'll see how I go lol. Can't wait to put them on! [emoji2]
  2. So it's been a pretty successful few weeks or how ever long its been lol. I'm going to try and do this in chronological order but dunno how easy that will be. This will also consist of lots and lots of photos so I apologise lol First off, I swapped the door over. Only thing is that the inside door handle wasn't working and now after about a week with the door on the outside one isn't working... rip. Lucky I have a donor door The ding still needs to be removed and painted.. got quoted $1200 which just about killed me... so dunno what i'm gonna do there, door still seals so maybe I can live with it till I can get it done and the money bank has some dough. The silver door just gives the car personality right?!?!? Annnddd the solid Hilux to carry the parts lol Now. The goodie. Subframe removal and putting the new subframe together but not in, Considering my uncle and I didn't really have much to go off for directions besides the quick google and got the base stuff figured out we just went straight into it. Didn't run into any issues sides the handbrake cable cover thing getting pulled out and the metal bit getting a bit bent around the edge, but we aren't too sure if we did that or if it had happened from the crash. Check out the shock though >.< I think all up it took us 6-ish hours, we took our time I guess, I picked up some V35 coupe rims?? 18x8 30p, my old wheels were 18x8 35p. I honestly don't think they will look that bad. So that's about it... Subframe should go in the weekend after next.
  3. So some of you (most of you from Facebook lol) probably know that the stagea was involved in a crash about a week ago. Damage was as follows: Honestly not too bad damage for how it was hit, I'd consider myself lucky lol Today I got some parts (thanks Liam!) While the door isn't in pearl white, silvers good enough for now.. I'm going to most likely respray the car in the future anyway. Here's hoping I can get this subframe in and the old one out ASAP
  4. Got my hoses that I needed to replace along with a new pcv valve and grommet
  5. Not having a go at you mate, but in all honestly I could see it happening, although unlikely you I wouldn't rule it out. And in this day you really can't trust people, obviously you sent legit photos so you are out of the equation. OP should really take it further to the authorities as the shipping company clearly doesn't give two craps about it. Also it's spudtatoe.
  6. I'd definitely be annoyed if the kms went up. But are you sure that the photo was taken from where it was dropped off rather than the seller taking a photo then going for a drive? But that is definitely not on and is not appropriate. I would take it further to the authorities if you can and get something done about it, while it is only 18kms it should not have gone up regardless (besides the small amount of distance for it to move around the yard etc) Because
  7. Thanks a bunch mate, super helpful. Got the tail lights all wired up and the trailer lights working. Repco had the light bulb socket thing, it works, but not really. So I had to silicone it in there lol. Series 2 looks so clean, got it for a bloody good price $200NZ considering people were asking $350NZ for just the tail gate ones...
  8. I'm wiring it up now, you mention yours goes white to black, I have two black wires, one for indicator and the other goes to the brake light. Do I wire it to the brake light or two both?
  9. Cheers! Exactly what I needed, I don't suppose you have a photo of behind your RH tail light so I can get a grasp of it? Otherwise what type of connector would I use to join the wires together as I have no tools to solder
  10. Cheers, do you know about the 'socket' or 'plug' that the light bulbs go into? And with the wiring, does the actual bare wire go into the 'socket' or 'plug' as such? Or in other words where does the end of the wire get plugged into
  11. Help with Series 2 tail lights and trailer wiring Heya so I have a few questions, Went and got some Series 2 tail lights and installed the tail gate ones, although I did have to scrape off the black gooey silicone tar looking stuff and reuse it on the series 2 set, Where can I get some of that tar sticky stuff that's now stuck on my hands forever (New Zealand please) And, little did I know the side tail lights fit but need different indicator bulb plugs So where can I get the indicator plugs from? I'll head to supercheapauto and repco tomorrow to see if they have any but I don't feel too confident that they'll have anything. And because I need amber coloured indicator lights now, does anyone know the bulb number/part? And because the previous owner of my car had series 2 lights and took them off at sale he cut all of the trailer wiring, so I wanted to know when doing the trailer wiring do I just place the trailer wiring into the light bulb plug? where the normal indicator wires go etc? Now before you say use the search or what ever, I did, but nothing about rear tail light bulb plugs (Maybe i'm not using the correct names?) Thanks!
  12. Ended up buying BCPR5E-11
  13. Exactly what I was thinking, I'm gonna buy these hoses and PCV parts then if I still have that rough idle misfire I'll get the coils.
  14. According to my uncle who is a mechanic, the coil packs look fine and my misfire was caused from split hoses and my pcv valve grommet being split and half fallen out. But is it worth getting new coils regardless? I'm gonna go grab some anti seize/nickel seize grease stuff because the spark plugs I removed were on incredibly tight to the point where I needed the breaker bar.
  15. Thought it's not worth gapping then down, but I'm going to buy some Splitfires in the upcoming weeks
  16. Is it worth gapping them to 0.8 on a non turbo? Read that it wasn't really worth it. I'll try give the coils a clean, I'm more worrying about how to get ahold of some new hoses
  17. Yooo, So I took apart my car to get to the spark plugs and coils to see if they were bad etc, I had Bosch FR7KPP33U+ and they were well used. So I went and bought 6x NGK BCPR5E-11 for the car I couldn't find much info for spark plugs for the RB25DE NEO, only DET. And even with that they were all expensive ones that were $30 NZD each, when these were only $8 NZD Haven't had a chance to put them in yet and even when I do the car won't be moving till I get coil packs, PCV grommet that goes into the cam cover and a few hoses that were split. I hope I got the right ones lol, has anyone used these in their engines?
  18. Anyone know what plugs are recommended for a RB25DE NEO? just need basic ones I guess i've seen so many different responses to what one to use so i'm not sure anymore
  19. Hmm where the hell do I start... So I found these three split hoses, one of which seems to have been taped up at some point on both ends because they had splits, And the other one that goes into the cam cover broke clean out... but that also looks like it had some sealant stuff holding it in there (not sure if that's how it came from the factory) So the whole mission was just to get to the spark plugs and coils.. who the heck made this process so long. Here's a photo of where the hose broke out of, looks like it kinda just slotted in there without any thing holding it in? I finally got to the coils and spark plugs, the coils looked fine and the spark plugs as I've been told looks like they are well used. So I think I'll go and buy some new spark plugs tomorrow because why not lol. After all that I still don't really know why I'm getting that rough idle/misfire. I'll get those hoses replaced and new spark plugs, and if that doesn't clean up this problem then I suppose coils will be next. But then again I might even just buy coils to be safe. And just a photo with the "import" monster drink haha
  20. LOL I still love that ad, still gets played here on TV occasionally
  21. I'm pretty keen to see these pictures [emoji1] you can always upload them to imgur.com and paste the links here
  22. Local store said their price was firm might go with japex not too sure yet
  23. Hmm, I'm from New Zealand and I was just working the ebay one out to be about 660 or something. The local nz store wants $780 I think. I have an RB25DE, might be different but it's the first time I've ever had misfires.
  24. Oh right, sorry. Yeah I'll just spend the money and buy Splitfires.. rather have the coils last. I'll probably just buy from the website that Kiwi suggested
