Friday Night At Grevillea Park
DJ_On_Ice replied to Viper_r32's topic in Australian Capital Territory
.... Are you just trying to G-up people on this forum, or are you some senseless cop sitting behind a desk that honestly thinks people in this forum as morons who would meet with you for a "drag" and "burnout comp"? Dude, if you're serious, put your 3 inches back into your pants and walk away because there just isn't a place for you here if that's the attitude you're going to bring along. ... Besides, you might be able to spin wheels in 5th gear for us, or go really, really fast in a straight line but I’m guessing that’s more your car and not you. I'm willing to call you out on any driving ability you may actually have, other than the ability to plant your right foot. From the way you talk I doubt you could do much more.... :-) -

I have a DC08, got it when I moved into my new place.. It's just the base model but I love it. I seriously never thought it was worth while getting such an expensive vacuum but it's really worth it. It just gets so much dust!

Police Radar And Speed Camera Rules & Reg's

Recently I have spoken to a lot of cops in passing while doing some work out at Sutton Road and my girlfriends brother and his girlfriend is a cop. Generally I have found that yes, the attitude of the AFP are is much more mature then that of its NSW counterpart. I have however heard some pretty crap things uttered by the mouths of NSW and AFP officers, things like "I can't wait to get out there and book every f^%#$ng P plater I see etc." and all that does is perpetuate the image that cops are the enemy. As tridentt150v said, you have the choice at any time to reduce/increase your speed, which is why when even an unmarked car that is 'baiting' you can be accused of entrapment, but those accusations will most likely not stick. Of course there are always bad apples out there, but at all times police are bound by Commonwealth legislation that in effect act as a Code of Practice. This legislation can be found here: http://www.comlaw.gov.au/comlaw/management...93?OpenDocument http://www.comlaw.gov.au/comlaw/management...14?OpenDocument Fair enough that those links provide us with a lot of reading and unless you have a specific incident that you need to enquire into the specifics that regulate police activity, but I guess the best advice I could offer is when dealing with Police exercise the "reasonable persons" test. Is their action reasonable and is it justified correctly? If you feel that a cop has acted inappropriately or breached their regulations, then report them or make an appeal through the relevant avenue. http://www.afp.gov.au/about/complaints.html One of the best ways to avoid any crap and also one of the best ways to protect yourself by knowing what laws you are bound by as a motorist and as they are ever changing it can pay to stay a breast (LOL, breast.. sorry.... back on track) of the rules: http://www.tams.act.gov.au/move/driver_lic..._Rules_Handbook For a full version of these laws you can check out the Australian Road Laws http://www.ntc.gov.au/ViewPage.aspx?documentid=00794 (This is a pretty epic set of rules so it might pay to only refer to it if you have a specific question) In terms of where speed vans – which are operated by TAMS on behalf of the Chief of Police – the locations for their approved operation can be found here: http://www.tams.act.gov.au/__data/assets/p...tions_sites.pdf and further information regarding the speed camera program can be found here: http://www.tams.act.gov.au/move/roads/road..._camera_program -
I had a great time and it was really good to catch up with so many SAUers as I don't get a chance to come out to the Museum as much as I'd like. Cheers to the lovely Shell for arranging the food and Michelle for the drinks etc. I got some really good photos which I will upload as soon as I manage to get around to it :-). I look forward to the next meet-up! Merry Christmas to everyone.

Not Nissan Related: Home Stereo Advice...

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK.... where do I start.... Hey Jayce, it's Pat here... I work at Duratone Hi-Fi and have worked at the Bose store. To start with Bose is an extremely functional product but is very expensive... very over priced! There are many more products on the market that are as functional and sound INFINTATELY better! So, yes, not meaning to be-little you opinion too much - PjAu - there are many products that do compare and anyone in the industry of Hi-Fi and sound don't really respect Bose. So, what your boss is wanting to do is effectively run audio into other rooms, right? It's called "zoning". Whether is be outdoor/indoor or in-wall/off-wall speakers, it's all pretty simple to do. Well... when I say simple, it just requires someone to set it up who knows what they are doing. All of which can be done by people who I can advise you/your boss to talk to. I will PM you my phone number. Give me a call if you want and I can work some things out for you. Even if I can offer some advise I'd be happy to help (I'm not going to try and sell your boss something he may not need/want or something expensive just so I can make some commission on it). N.B. I should also say, please... to anyone who reads this post. I'm more then happy to help anyone out with systems and getting a good deal, but please be reasonable! I have had some PMs in the past asking me to buy people things for stupid amounts. Cheers,
