Hey mate, havn't been able to log in for a bit... LOL...my ride... unfortunately atm... it's the fabled Starlet... (you might have heard about it if you have read the forums recently). Saving for a Line. Lost my old car cause of a problem with the brakes.... long story.
-
Hey myr332, were you cruising up Parkes way this evening at around about 6(ish)? I think I saw a Bayside Blue R34 GTR pass me on my way home.
-
Congratulations! :-).... I'm really glad to hear it came back to its owner! :-) Yes.... there was quite A LOT of swearing on my behalf when I saw the 31 in that state.
-
Why not import one yourself? I have seen online R33 SIIs going for $12k'ish and they were complied and a grade 3/4 rating. Or you could go through a small import house. Somehwere like Skyline's Performance in Belco'... I was talking to them the other day and they said they could get a grade 4 R32 GTS-T for $9-10K and that was complied!
-
yeah I know but, the term was a just to work in.. not a real "what grinds my gears" topic
-
I've generally found that BP is the best and produces (to my feel) the bst power out of any car I have tried it in... I tend to only use 98 even in the Starlet I drive. It's just better for the car and makes the drive better. I have found, and this could just be me, that Optimax burns quicker then Ultimate.... anyone get that? Or am I just crazy? LOL

OK... So I would love to say I saw a really nice Skyline with a friendly driver behind the wheel but instead.... On the way to uni today I was driving the Starlet just past the Corillian and saw a red R32 GTS-T with a Kakimoto exhaust and GT-R side skirts “wizzing” through cars and when I finally caught up to him (not through excessive speeding or anything just I was choosing my lanes well), I coincidentally took the round-a-bout he was taking (the big one on Parks way near that auditorium place on Constitution Ave). I was going through the roundabout and then when I got to the lights at Constitution Ave he proceeded to flip me off! Then at the next lights he stuck his arm out the window and made a "wanking" motion... to be honest, I thought, "Yeah mate you are a wanker!". What was his issue!? Was he annoyed that someone driving a Starlet could "keep up" with him? .... so that's what really grinds my gears!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...... :laughing-smiley-014: HAHAHAHA.... Cheers for the laughs Donnan

The Mighty Starlet In Action Today
DJ_On_Ice replied to Tarmac-'s topic in Australian Capital Territory
LOL... I lent Reece the car that day... wish I had of been there.... should have competed but wasn't feeling up to it... SOFT! I know! Yeah, now that the R32 is back on the roads it should be great to have her out there again at the next Khana. -
Jesus, I'm really sorry to hear that your car got stolen. I didn't post this on the threads but about 9 months ago I had some car troubles and I bought an R31 to get me around (it was a car that the R31 club would be fairly familiar with) and some lil' bastards decided that the weekend after the Queen's B'day weekend it would be a good idea to prize my boot open and fill it will fuel and fireworks... whole car... ruined. I wish you the best of luck in recovering your baby.

Hi mate, just wondering if you would be willing to seperate the just the turbo from the engine pack you have here? if so how much would you want for it? -
LMAO... good move! Good move!

BUMP... Hey guys, please if anyone knows of one forsale or has one... PM me. The need just became sort of urgent LOL Also, I'm not sure say if I was to just replace the turbo with .. say a garret. What size/model would i use? We arent looking for power increments just what would you replace a standard with?

LOL Yeah unfortunately my mates Reece and Thomas bought that. I need another :-). But thankyou for thinking of it though.

Hi everybody, I need an R34 GT-T turbo - not sure of what sort of turbo this, or, an R33 GTS-T Series II turbo. I've been looking around in the forsale sections etc. but I can't seem to find one anywhere. If anyone could help me out that would be great. If you have one forsale or have one sitting around, know of someone give me a message or post here and we will sort it all out. Thanks guys n girls, Pat

WHATS A CROCK OF S^%&!!!! After forking out nearly $800 today for the 'privelidge' of being able to drive a road registered and third party insured car for another year today, I have zero sense of humour about this sort of revenue rasing! A lot of money to thin air! They seem to just try and take the fun out of every aspect of motoring through smacking taxes, levies, charges or fees onto absolutely everything they can think of! But I'll tell you this as stated on the previous page they may be able to defect you but in no way would it be enforcable to fine someone for simply dropping a friend (or ralative) off. You could even go so far as to hand the driver of the car cash right in front of an RTA inspector or Police officer and simply state; "thanks for the lift. let me pay for some fuel". Thats not payment for services, but a reimbursment. If they fine you - they are wrong! Argue it! Don't take this crap lying down people. I remember when I had my year 12 formal and the likes of WHYTRY, SINISTA, CHOOCHOOBA, NATH32, (I know I'm forgetting a few people here and I'm really sorry LOL) rocked up and let me tell you... we had one hell of an entrance! I was so grateful to all those guys for the lift and I don't want to see this great past time go out the window. Fair enough if your car is defectable! They can get you on that but as you are not A. a registered transport business or B. receiving money from the patron (liftee) for services offered (;-)... if you want to charge), they have nothing.

Update:: On closer inspection after stuffing around with it in the cold at rediculous hours of the morning. we found the problem. they just unplugged a whole bunch of stuff and it was just a matter of finding out what goes where. Car started fine. only problem is we think they took off the wheel and now the Air bag light flashes and the hicas light comes on anyone got any ideas on that? Cheers anyways

Hi Guys, Ok. It's 6:12 in the morning and I'm at my friend's house in Higgins and his car is sitting in the parking lot in Civic. It's a Series II R33 Gts-t. Some a#$h*&^ broke into the car and tried to hotwire it! They removed the steering wheel mount covers and then played with the wiring, then when the realised that couldn't they just ripped stuff out of the car. THE CAR WON'T START! It appears that there is some cable missing... there are two plugs that dont have anything in them at the top of the steering column. Any ideas???? We checked all the fuses etc. and nothing seems to to be missing. If anyone could help out please call me, my name is Patrick (Pat... if you don't already know me) and help us out. If you know whats wrong or could lend us the part until we could find a replacement - whatever - we would really appreciate your help. Phone: 0411487633 Thanks guys, Pat

DJ_On_Ice replied to StinkyPoo's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Hahaha, yeah! Your car did look pretty dirty comming off the pan that day Steve. Hey StinkyPoo, my name is Patrick - and I have done the pan day about 4 times now and done some work with Dereck and come to think of it I think (if your the guy I'm thinking of) I met you with Dereck in Woden plaza when you were asking about the Pan days. I'm going to be there on the Sunday for the public session. But I was thinking (I've heard from Dereck you have now about 7/8 people) if you want maybe one or two more. Then give me a call on 0411487633. If I don't here from you I hope you and your mates have an absolute blast and as R3sp3ct (Steve) said...... be prepared to clean your car! :3 Pat -

Hi Guy! How are we all? Just wondering if I could get a car to do a formal run for me? Well its actually for my little mates year 10 formal - but I will be there. I don't really want a convoy or anything just seeing who can do it. As its a year ten formal....I'm looking for bling not just performance! LOL (shamed look). So anyone with sexy cars (Slither, Whytry, Sinista, LTSJayce, NathR32, Steves180...). Give me a call or just post something here (preferably call me). The formal is at Lakeside Rydges and starts 7:30 on Friday night. Thanks guys!
